Charthaval

Template:Infobox Indian jurisdiction Charthaval is a town and a nagar panchayat in Muzaffarnagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Charthaval had a population of 31,493. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Charthaval has an average literacy rate of 51%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 59% and female literacy of 42%. 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.

MARKET

It is just 15 min. way to go to Muzaffarnagar from town.
However, Charthaval has a good market for garment and Jewellery.
There are two markets in the town, one is in the northern side of the town and another is at the main road side.
There are three big furniture house at bus stand where you can buy all type of furnitures, electronic appliances for daily use, trunks for quilts and columns for wheet storage.
Baljit's (mohallah Sheikhzadgan) Chat is hot famous as it is arranged to serve to every guest.

RELIGION

Both Muslim & Hindu religion are found in Charthaval. There are 65% percent Muslims out of the 40000 total population of the town.
There are many mosques in the town but two are very old . One is situated at Sheikhzadgan Gharki(west) (غركى), known as Jama Masjid Tagayan, was supposed to be built by The mughal Empror Nader Shah in 17^th centuary and other is situated in Sheikhzadgan Sharki(east) (شركى), was built in 350 years back, also known as Jama Masjid alias 'amina masjid' Sheikhzadgan (near Hakim Nazar Ahsan).
There are two Hindu tamples:
Thakurdwara was supposed to be buile in 13th centuary and later on in 1910 it was repared by one of the wazir's family member of Mughal Empror Shahjahan.
On the main road there is a tample of Bhairo where many Hindus go for worship every day.During the expension of the temple some place besides was donated by Hakim Sadaruddin the famous Raees & Zamindar of Charthaval in late 18^th centuary.

BUSINESS

There are four sugar cane crusher and Sugar Cane Small scale plant (Kolhu) which produce Jagerry (Gurh in urdu/hindi)producer after processing sugar cane juice in Charhtaval.
They start their production from Oct. to May and get a 50 million business in the season. Bajaj Hindusthan Ltd.[[.]], titawi sugar mill and Rohana Sugar Mill are around the Charthaval. There are three sugar refinerys around Charthaval.
Charthaval is also famous for whole sale market of wood. There are more than 10 whole sale shop aadhat for wood sale. They purchase the wood of Eucalyptus, Poplar and diffirent type of wood from farmers and sale it to the plywood industries. The turnover of the wood market of Charthaval is around two million Indian Rupees per day.

VILLAGES

There are 67 villages in block Charthaval. Some villages are having big population as the villagers demand to the government to turn their village into town so that they can facilitate the infrastructure according to their need. Especially Kutesra village which has a population of 12000 people is bieng considered to be turned into town, is just eight km. far from Charthaval. Biralsi and Dedharu are also some of the big populated villages of Block Charthawal.
One of the small village Hakimpura is also a part of Charthaval was established by The Raees & Zamindar Hakim Sadaruddin in late 18th centuary.

LITERATURE

A great personality in litrature was Maulana Mushtaq Ahmad in early 1900 centuary from Charthval. He had written many books in urdu and arabi on Islamic Literature. Some of them are the permanant part of the syllabus in the Islamic Madarsas of the Middle East and Southeast Asian Countries.
Persian language in Mughal period was in used. In Charthaval Hakim Mohammad Umar was another great sufi in early 18^th centuary. He wrote a book in Persian poetry named as Noor uz Zaman ir (نورازمأر), which got published by his son Hakim Sadaruddin in 1902. In which the poet praised to all the 99 Names of Allah(Asma-e-Husnat) with his personal reciting experience (hikayatain) with each name of Allah (swt).
