Foros is an impact crater just northeast of Argyre basin in the Argyre quadrangle of Mars, located at 33.4°S and 27.87°W. It is 24.54 km in diameter. It was named after Foros, a town in the Ukraine. The name was approved in 1979 by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature (WGPSN).[1]
