Dostana 2 is an upcoming Bollywood comedy film Directed by Tarun Mansukhani. It is the sequel to the 2008 film Dostana which was a super hit. Ashish behera will be cast as a new addition into the series.John Abraham will reprise his role from the previous movie and Karan Kamal the fresh face will be taking over Abhishek Bachchan role. Reportedly Ritesh Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, and Dino Morea have also been signed for the film. The setting of the sequel is rumored to be relocated from Miami to London. It was also rumored that production on the film reportedly began in October 2011. The movie will start in March 2015 after the selection of Female/Male Lead who had now been finalized by Mr Mohit Raina(Sponsor) of the movie.[1][2]


On February 16, 2013, Revant Dalal confirmed that he is still on the look-out for the lead actress. But then he confirmed Katrina Kaif and after being denied by the Sponsor. he then introduced the fresh face Miss Deepali Saini and in male Artist he selected Akshay Medge a very new face for the industry who had been selected for other projects of Mr Raina. When it comes to the lead male roles, Kiran Khanvilkar have been asked to work their dates out post September. Even though both the director,producer and Sponsor i.e. Kaushik Damaiya and Nikhil Pandey are not revealing any details, went on to talk about the film and confirmed that the film is going on floors this year. "Tarun, Mohit, John and I had decided last year that this is the script we want to go ahead with."

The script reportedly went through a lot of detailing and working before being finalized. "This is not about who is happy or unhappy with the script. Dostana was a big hit, and so it is obvious that the filmmakers want to be sure about every detail of its sequel. The expectations from Dostana 2 are sky high, and nobody wants to take a chance with it. We want it to be better than Dostana."[3]
