Second Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway is a new high-speed railway located in China between the municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin. It will start at Beijing East Railway Station to Binhai Railway Station. The first half of this project will be built as part of the Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway until Baodi South Railway Station where the line branches south along new trackage to Tianjin. Together with the Beijing-Tangshan ICR, this railways forms part of a proposed regional 4 North-South lines, 4 East-West lines that form a network for fast commuter services across Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. It is expected to be completed by 2019.[1]

Route

Starting at Beijing East Railway station, this railway goes east across Tongzhou District into Xianghe County, Hebei on to Baodi District, Tianjin. This project then deviates from Beijing-Tangshan ICR alignment to travel south through eastern Wuqing District, Ninghe District, Beichen District, Dongli District to a station at Tianjin Binhai International Airport until terminating in Binhai New Area.
