The Uttarakhand Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Uttarakhand in India.

Organisational structure

Uttarakhand Police comes under direct control of Department of Home Affairs, Government of Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand Police is headed by Director General of Police (DGP).[1]

FIR (First Immediate Response) application is a SOS/emergency mobile  application that helps its user seek immediate help from Police with a single click of a help button.

FIR is an innovative SOS app for women, senior citizens and anyone who needs Police help in an emergency situation. The simplicity of its design and interface makes it effortless for the users to access its feature which maximizes the utility of the application. FIR mobile app was launched by the Hon. Chief Minister of Maharastra Shri Devendra Fadnavis on 5th Nov 2015 at Thane. Within few weeks of its launch, F.I.R. app was downloaded by more than one one Lakh users and became most trending application on Android play store. After its success in Thane rural district, it was launched in Karnataka’s Hassan district by the Hon. CM of Karnataka Shri Siddaramaiah in presence of 8 other Hon. cabinet ministers. Following , FIR app was been launched in the strategically important state, in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on 1st April 2016, in the Kathua district. Recently FIR app was launched in Uttarakhand by the Hon. CM Shri. Harish Rawat and DGP M. A Ganapathy.
