K'un-L'un (also known as K'un Lun) is a fictional location in the Marvel Comics Universe usually associated with Iron Fist.

[edit] Publication history

K'un-L'un first appeared in Marvel Premiere #15 (May 1974), and was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane.

The name was derived from the Kunlun Mountains in Tibet.[citation needed]

K'un-L'un received an entry in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Update '89 #4.

[edit] Fictional history

K'un-L'un is the stronghold of a colony of humanoid aliens whose spaceship crashed in a pocket dimension that intersects with Earth. Daniel Rand, the boy who would become Iron Fist discovered K'un-L'un. It was there that he gained his powers and became the Iron Fist.[volume & issue needed]

The dominant lifeform of this dimension is the H'ylthri. Its most prominent inhabitants are Master Khan, Yu-Ti, and Lei Kung. The usual means of access to this dimension is through magic.
