    consulthon.com

Several throwaway accounts spamming for a consulting blog full of marketing nonsense. Warnings given - any further addition should be blacklisted. GermanJoe (talk) 20:17, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh - already ran into this sock at Consulthon (talk · contribs), Bailam (talk · contribs), and MirelB87 (talk · contribs). Since it's across multiple articles and multiple socks, I've gone ahead and blacklisted. Kuru (talk) 01:46, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    ohack.net

Light spamming on a couple of articles to a garbage blog. Unlikely to stop as they never return to a previous IP address and will probably spread further.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ravensfire (talkcontribs)

@Ravensfire: You have a strange definition of light ;-)
    plus Added to MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:51, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Whoa - I was just looking back a bit and didn't see the other IP's and the linksearch tool didn't show any active uses. Thank ya! Ravensfire (talk) 17:55, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    doctorofcredit.com

Introduced by anon [1], reintroduced by registered editor a few days later [2]Bri (talk) 14:22, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Bri: plus Added to MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. Can you please go through the COIBot reports in your original summary templates, there is a lot of rubbish more here, and a good handful of accounts. Please report them in a subsection of this, section. --Dirk Beetstra T C 14:50, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    More users, from COIBot

Dirk hope that's okay, I'm not really familiar with the COIBot reports ☆ Bri (talk) 17:59, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Bri: I noticed that in the COIBot reports of these users there are more domains regarding credit, and other curious domains (but also good domains ..). I guess there is more spam (sorry, only have mobile to edit, collecting is difficult on that). —Dirk Beetstra T C 19:11, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I get it now. Shall update this again ASAP. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:35, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    definitely spam
    probably spam
could be spam, def non RS
not really sure one way or the other

Dirk Maybe this is more like what you were looking for. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:04, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    My Page keeps being deleted

I have tried in the past to add my profile to my name on Wikipedia. I've worked hard acting and doing graphic design, and have a lifestyle blog that attracts business through that. But this other actress from Tawain who has a much less popular imdb or web traffic, has her management in Asia always deleting my information and replacing it with hers. I'd really like mine added back. It's super frustrating and not a legitimate way to gain her web traffic. I'd be happy to add her name with mine under the same search results!

But to be repeatedly deleted in an age where it's important to have Social Media- I'm very upset. Please let me know what can be done. I recently tried to add myself again today and got my information (adding, not replacing) taken off. I was attempting it again because Google was saying I could verify my profile - the first results for my name are my imdb and facebook, etc - but this girl also used this wikipedia page to apply for that so I don't even exist officially on Google now.

    >add my profile to my name on Wikipedia
    >where it's important to have Social Media
You should start by familiarizing yourself with the purpose of this website. Wikipedia is explicitly not social media nor a medium for self-promotion, and entries are called "articles", not "profiles". Your editing privileges will be revoked if you make legal threats. Refspamming? — regards, Revi 09:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. With edit summaries like "partnership statement added", "reference for acquisition", "X partnered with Y"... it looks a lot like Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lego - Bloom. So my guess is, it's not refspamming, it's ACPERM evasion. But I am feeling alone and paranoid at the moment. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 11:05, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. This is a covert advertising sockfarm with a known abuse pattern. I've had the SPI reopened on that basis. MER-C 20:19, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, SPI does not tell anything about this particular account. — regards, Revi 09:00, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An IP editor was spamming the article on a statistician, Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis by linking his name and other random terms in the article to the site allmotti.xyz/tEjOO. This links to www.peoplesbiography.in which is on the spam blacklist. The web site at https://www.allmotti.xyz informs us that it's a URL shortener. I suggest that allmotti.xyz be added to the list of forbidden URL shorteners. EdJohnston (talk) 04:13, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
