Camp Nou has the highest capacity in Europe.

The following is an incomplete list of the largest sports stadia in Europe. They are ordered by their capacity; that is the maximum number of spectators the stadium can accommodate.

Most large stadia in Europe are used for association football; a smaller number are used for rugby union and Gaelic games.

Currently all stadia in Europe with a capacity of 30,000 or more are included. 30,000 is the minimum capacity required for a stadium to host matches in the UEFA European Football Championship finals. It is also the minimum capacity needed to be given a 4 star rating by UEFA, and host the UEFA Cup final.
