Orphaned non-free media (File:Dance Dance Revolution Strike cover art.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Dance Dance Revolution Strike cover art.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. DDR Mario Mix

It's no problem. I thought you were like some posters (I won't name them since that would not be nice) who go around changing the boxart to a different region for no reason. I had someone try and change the Bomberman Land Touch! boxart for the North American one to the PAL one even though the NA one was up for 1 1/2 years and had no problems with the image. TJ Spyke 03:53, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not a rule (the rule only says to use a Enlgish-language cover), it's just that we usually use the North American cover since it's usually the first one available. The reason I put the NA cover back in this time is since it was the one previously used. TJ Spyke
Hi there. I believe Spyke was referring to me above. He doesn't mention how he replaced the English image on Bomberman (series) for no reason ... but anyway, the cover used is the first one uploaded, and since Wikipedia has an intrinsic US bias, the majority are North American. Disagree with your move

I looked at the WikiProject Video Games naming conventions, it says "Always use the original official title of the game; English titles are preferred over foreign ones except in cases where an official English title does not exist." This looks like a case of the latter, and I thought furu meant shake too, but still. ViperSnake151 12:51, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

X (Smallville)

Well, I'm grateful you kept the entry.

I looked and looked and apparently no one has contributed anything about this character to Wikipedia. I can't start the article because I have no information. The first time I was told not to leave a link red, it was suggested that I redirect to an article that had information if I didn't have enough to start an article.

But I couldn't even find that!

The CW message boards are, of course, not an acceptable source, but it was just a quick reference to this person and not one of the descriptive discussions I've read in the past. I can't even remember those now or how to find them. Otherwise, I might be able to contribute to an existing article and make that red link work as a redirect. Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 22:29, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The post on the CW site I read said X is probably Lex Luthor (Smallville). But I have no real source and I got reverted the last time I posted speculation about his activities and whereabouts.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 15:13, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A note regarding the WPVG Newsletter

Due to an apparent lack of interest, the WPVG Newsletter will be switching from a monthly publication schedule to a quarterly one. The next issue be delivered on July 1, 2009 and will pertain to the second quarter of the calendar year. If you have any comments regarding this, or suggestions to improve the newsletter, please post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Newsletter.

Wii games

I made my last change for now (I was only going through and fixing all the links and making sure the games were in alphabetical order since some games were out of place). It was a pain in the butt, the article was so large that Wikipedia Cleaner couldn't manually do the whole article. I don't understand why the list is Japan/Europe/United States, but I guess that is more of a issue for the talkpage. TJ Spyke 07:33, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

noinclude response

If you move the 'noinclude' to below the last line of the template, it'll add whitespace to when multiple templates are stacked; the 'newline' character will be included since it appears before the 'noinclude'. TH1RT3EN talkcontribs 17:20, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually looking at other templates, it doesn't seem to do that anymore. However, this has been an issue in the past. TH1RT3EN talkcontribs 17:23, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where different cover designs are available for different regions, the one from the region in which the game has been developed should be used. If the game is not developed in an English-language region use the cover from the region in which the game receives its first English language release, unless another English language version has been uploaded first in which case don't change it. Reversion

Please don't revert short page patrollers work, as you did at Shiloh, Texas and Shiloh, Alabama. Otherwise, the short page patrollers will continually review the same articles over and over and you make more work for us. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 16:21, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not going to edit war with you despite your invitation. There are plenty of short page patrollers, they all do this, and someone else will do as I did, and when you persist in your disruption by reverting them, you'll earn a block from someone per WP:OWN and WP:DICK. Hi AeronPeryton. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete File:DanceDancerevolutioncover.jpg, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion F5 because of the following concern: There is a grace period of 7 days before nom. for speedy deletion. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered Non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. Regards feydey (talk) 10:15, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Messages Await!

Hello, AeronPeryton. You have new messages at EricV89's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Interested in a project merger?

Hey AeronPeryton, I just notice this project page of yours while scrounging around on google for this project of mine. Rather than both of us creating duplicate articles, I was wondering if you'd like to merge the two. I'm actually pretty busy with real life these days and I'm trying to break my wiki-addiction, so if you'd like we could merge my stuff over to yours and then you could put up the final copy. Does that sound good? If not I'd be happy to merge your stuff into mine if you'd like. Whatever's easiest for you. Cheers, -Thibbs (talk) 06:36, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Game systems have common abbreviations (i.e. "PS2" for PlayStation 2, "ARC" for Arcade). I could be be careful though (i.e. write "PS1" instead of just "PS"). I agree about the defaultsort and will make sure that doesn't happen again. You shouldn't have reverted my edits though, you could have just made those 2 changes. For one thing, the Distributor spot is not used if it's the same as the publisher (which it is for the DDR games). Also, the regional names are not used for publisher. Konami is the publisher, not "Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH" (and all those other wacky variants you used). "Width" is not used in the VG template (it has no effect, so no reason to use it). As for other changes I made in the infoboxes, please read Template:Infobox VG and you will see I was right in those changes. Of all the changes you reverted, the ONLY mistake I made was accidentally changing the name of a Japanese artist from "DJ AC-DC" to "DJ AC/DC".

Speaking of artists, all of them need to be fixed. I know it's popular in Japan for them to write their name in all English capitals, but that violates Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks), so all of them should be de-capitalized. TJ Spyke 21:09, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The subsidiary doesn't really do anything, and they are the same company anyways (just like we don't list "Nintendo of America", "Nintendo of Europe", etc.). The captions had been overly long, they should be short and simple. I already agreed that maybe systems like Arcade should stay un-abbreviated. I am trying to clean up the articles, they look a lot better after I ran AWB through them. As for the IP edits, I rarely log in when I am not at home since I don't trust the security of other computers and don't want to risk someone else getting my password or something like that. As for song titles, maybe when I get some spare time (I am too busy with other articles right now). TJ Spyke 15:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 bundle box art.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 bundle box art.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vandalism

Do not vandalize my talkpage again. Redirects in Templates ARE allowed to be fixed (so you are in the wrong for changing it back). Give me another false warning again and I will give you a vandalism warning. NES Wii (talk) 19:53, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So you agree you should not be doing it in articles, then? –xenotalk 19:54, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit that you made has been reverted or removed because it was a misuse of a warning or blocking template. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you.

Cleaning up red links

Hey there. While performing general cleanup tasks the other day (removing red links, commenting out categories from userfied articles, and so on) I noticed that you have twice [2] [3] reverted my edits to User:AeronPeryton/Articles/Mutsuhiko Izumi. It is common practice to remove links to an article once it has been deleted. Figuring you are a reasonable person I wanted to ask you to remove them on your own or perhaps you could tell me why it is you find it necessary to keep them there. Thanks, JBsupreme (talk) 22:03, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

3rr warning

You have now reverted 3 other editors on List of Bemani musicians. You may not be aware of the rule (WP:3rr) on edit warring. If you continue to revert, there's a good chance you'll be blocked for a brief time from editing.Bali ultimate (talk) 23:06, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just taken another look. As it happens, you're now at 4rr. You're over the line, but i won't pursue it at this point. But I will guarantee you that a short block will be forthcoming if you persist.Bali ultimate (talk) 23:22, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AeronPeryton, please stop what you are doing. I just explained to you quite recently, two days ago in fact, that it is common practice to remove deleted backlinks. This is done everywhere throughout the project in mainspace. If you want to keep red links in your userfied article, that's your prerogative (arguably, at best) but they simply do not belong in mainspace, especially after the article has been deleted after the result of an AFD debate. No one person is unilaterally "preventing article recreation" of anything as you put it in your fourth revert [4] -- if you think these article should be recreated you need to take that up with deletion review (WP:DRV) -- edit warring over it is NOT going to help. JBsupreme (talk) 23:43, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sigh. JBsupreme (talk) 23:54, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You've gotten your wish and have been mentioned here [5]. I don't really give a shit about describing other's edits as "vandalism" and "bad faith" in your edit summaries, but i recommend you desist with that as well when your block is over. Other people will mind.Bali ultimate (talk) 00:24, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for 24H for 3RR violation

You have been blocked for 24 hours for violating the 3RR policy on List of Bemani musicians. There are very few instances when the 3RR policy may be ignored; being "right" is not one of them. I encourage you to work within our decision-making process, and try to build consensus on the talk page. You may request that another administrator review this block by using {{unblock}}. ÷seresin 03:16, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hiroshi Watanabe (musician)

Since he is not really a "video game musician", he is barely related, and there was a discussion before not to tag pages that are barely related, but I can't seem to find it. I'll keep looking and put a link here if i can find it. MrKIA11 (talk) 19:26, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

oh ok, I'm basically trying to inform others because the nomination didn't make it into the task force for albums.Bread Ninja (talk) 17:36, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the nomination came without notice and it came in pretty quickly. now we have a week to find enough sources to salvage it. I am currently looking for sources but i don't know what i will be able to find.Bread Ninja (talk) 17:51, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i just added a few sources and made the tracklist into tracklist format. hope this helps even a little.Bread Ninja (talk) 18:39, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ping about new articles

I've userified a few articles, see the list on my talk. Sorry for the delay. Can you review those and clean them up so they don't have AfD tags, categories and the like? I did one but the rest need doing. LMK when you've done that and I'll userify a few more. ++Lar: t/c 01:19, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did the last batch I think. I was in a hurry so I just nowiki tagged everything. ++Lar: t/c 20:02, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Takeyasu

I see that you have taken the article into your userspace.

I also see that a lot of the hard work I put in to add refs and details have been deleted, sch as the games and you have turned it into one simply about his beatmania works.

Can you tell me how you think that removing that material and adding a list of songs is going to get the article back into mainspace?

One of the reasons I had problems keeping the article were the list of songs which you have put back in. They were summarily deleted as not of note.

Chaosdruid (talk) 15:23, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I may suggest, although it's in his userspace, you should feel free to add refs back in if you want. They are I think in the history, as the entire article history was moved when the article itself was moved. I hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 17:36, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, in that case, as the work I did was after it was nominated for deletion in an attempt to save it from deletion.
There was a heated discussion but I was mssively outvoted due to "non notability" even though I showed that he was notable under the "musician at the forefront of a particular genre" - namelt both Computer game music in general and Dance mania
Sorry if I seemed a little upset; but I was lol :¬)

Thanks for uploading File:Bounce Connected album cover.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Out of process removal of maintenance templates: copyright templates

Your removal of the copyright template here was inappropriate. Articles that are blanked with that template are listed for administrator review, coming current one week after the listing date. The contributor who tagged the article needed to take no further action; he had provided all the information necessary to confirm that content was pasted into the article from a previously published source. The copyright violation has now been removed from the article. Please do not restore material that has been marked for copyright concerns to publication on Wikimedia Foundation projects. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:06, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The tag itself advises that the article should not be edited until investigated by an administrator or OTRS agent. While it is fine to edit the areas that are not blanked, restoring the areas that are is not fine. Further, there is a hidden comment within the template that says, "Please do not remove or change this Copyvio message until the issue is settled" (viewable here). While you may have misunderstood, there is nothing in the template (nor was there on the date it was placed) to suggest that further explanation would appear at the article's talk page. The template directs the tagger to notify the contributor - he did - and to list the article at WP:CP - he did.
The note I left you above is not a form letter, but specifically written for the situation. While your intentions may have been good, your actions led to the continued publication by Wikipedia of copyrighted content that had been duly tagged for permission or removal. This is out of keeping with our copyright policies and our approach to copyright problems. If you did not understand the actions of the tagger, addressing him would certainly be appropriate. Removing the tag, again, was not. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:00, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As I explained to you, CosmicJake did not need to edit the talk page. There was no requirement that he do so. I have linked to you above where he did everything he was required to do. The template says:

Do not edit this page until an administrator or an OTRS agent has resolved this issue.

(Formatting original, including big text.)
Since the pronoun antecedent of the sentence "Unless the copyright status of the text on this page is clarified, it may be deleted one week after the time of its listing" seems to have confused you, though, I will clarify. "It" is referring not to the template, but to the page; it is the preceding noun.
You removed the template and restored content to publication that violated our Terms of Use. Even if you believed that the template could and should be removed by anyone due to a misunderstanding of the template's instructions, following the link should have shown you that the complaint had merit.
In any event, this continued conversation seems pointless. The restoration out of process of content removed for copyright problems is inappropriate; please don't do it again. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:18, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, back in 2008 you deleted an image from the Dancing Stage MegaMix page citing that it was incorrectly attributed. If you could please resurrect the image and I will give a proper rationale for it. I don't remember what I tagged it as back then but it is a screencap of a promotional video for the game so it is not outside the bounds of fair use. Thank you.  æronphonehome  22:29, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Winx Club template

Hello AeronPeryton! I am user of Russian Wikipedia. Sorry for possible misunderstanding. Can you please give me the reference to that rule which forbids similar style in templates, like mine? In Italian and in Russian wikis it isn't forbidden.

Thanks in advance. --Coolak (talk) 08:26, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for so detailed explanation! Thank you for your answer. I haven't spent a lot of time for this template, so no trouble. Thank you again, and I will write to you if I need help with something like this. Greetings, --Coolak (talk) 10:18, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:20, 15 June 2010 (UTC) [reply]

template:Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Hello there

I noticed you have updated the template I created for template:Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

I acknowledge you are a member of WPMalaysia and as such involve with improving articles related to Malaysia. That is fantastic. e.g. WP:BOLD.

However, I found your edits on the template I created WP:Kuala Lumpur International Airport problematic. I disagree with the edit. Firstly, the edit summary was vague in regards to referring to the wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia%3ACOLORS#Color

Secondly, the template with the colours made is with WP:AGF. Your edit seem to revert to the normal bland colour which is fine. But your argument is that is a standard which is incorrect. It is a official guideline which has over time became the de facto standard. The fact I created the template with the orange colours to contrast and allow it to be seen more effectively by the readers of wikipedia using this as a reference: Help:Using_colours

Other templates all around en.wikipedia.org have different colours to allow the template to be more visible and tailored to its specific audience like the

and

and look at this one for instance

,

As I could have easily reverted your edit but I didn't as I want to achieve WP:CON and its no point getting into a potential wp:3rr in relation to colors as I see from your talk page, you have been involved with and blocked in the past. Due to WP:OWN anyone is free to edit the template but it would have been nice if you have put in the template talk and ask why the colours were chosen in the first place rather than unilaterally change them using vague reasonings without specific references to the wikipedia guidelines. It can be perceived/construed as stamping your POV authority on the template.

If you are advocating consistency of template, thats a good and noble cause but any change should be discussed first or just noted on the talk page rather than just making the change to to fit your worldview or your personal preferences in Wikipedia. This would help everyone work in a collegial manner within the wikipedia community and avoid unnecessary edit issues.

Takamaxa (talk) 10:10, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi AeronPeryton, thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to reason collegially. I'm not on a warpath but I hope you can understand I put in a lot of effort in creating templates not just for Malaysia but all over the place in wikipedia and you can understand my frustration if I see something substantial has been changed on the templates as if someone's put that own pov on it without a major discussion.. As for WP:OWN, its a template for everyone.
Orange is added to the template because it was going from the official KLIA logo. If you look closely, you will notice they use it in their logo. I'm sure you want the best for KLIA template as well.
I acknowledged you want to have consistent interface. Examples taken from the fishing one was to illustrate these templates can have different colours to allow for more contrast and can happily co-exist with the default bland colours in the templates. I disagree with you if you say orange looks awful. It may look too bright for some people. But thats their opinion which I can respect. But I can agree the already used urls color has been changed which would not give the appropriate indication to readers they have visited the url.
After reading your comments on my talk and thinking about, because you belong to the WP:Malaysia project and spend more time on this particular sphere. You guys would take the effort to improve it. I'll probably leave it up to you guys (WP:Malaysia). wish ya all the best.

Winx - Roxy's Constant Edits

I sincerely apologize for the trouble I've caused. I believe Roxy is a Winx because, even though it hasn't been made clear in the show, it has been clear by her becoming a part of the Winx website (if she weren't a Winx, I don't think they would've included her) and because Bloom told her in an episode that she was one of them. I didn't mean for this to become a war and if it's that much trouble, I'll just leave it alone from now on and the other user can have it his way. Again, I'm sorry for the trouble. Stolya (talk) 02:10, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In the series, it hasn't been told anything even hinting that Roxy may be a part of the Winx. Moreover, there is no Roxy in the trailer of the second full-length movie, which is continuation of the fourth season. Thinking that Roxy is a part of the Winx is an original research, that is prohibited in the Wikipedia. I can't orient well in the eng-wiki, so I ask you, AeronPeryton, to make something, to stop vandalism of 99.58.111.39, who continues to vandalise the Winx Club template. --Coolak (talk) 08:04, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Moreover, there is only Bloom, Stella, Flora, Layla, Tecna, Musa in the Winx Club website. There is no Roxy among them. --Coolak (talk) 08:18, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the link. --Coolak (talk) 21:07, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion

Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to Dance Dance Revolution (2010 video game).

If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref> and one or more <ref name="foo"/> referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref> but left the <ref name="foo"/>, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/> with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.

If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks! Na

I've reverted Na to the streamlined version that (IMO) matches the applicable guidelines. If you think otherwise, let us know explicitly where it goes wrong on Talk:Na. The dab page is intended to be streamlined for fast navigation. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 02:44, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And I have fixed it according to the style guidelines agreed upon by the Wikipedia and Disambiguation Project. If you want each change outlined JHunter has insisted that a comment meant for him personally be linked on the Na talk page, which you can read there. If you believe that I have made a mistake or misinterpreted those guidelines please point out where and why. Thank you.  æronphonehome  08:59, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When I get a chance, I'll read through the talk (not sure why you don't think it belongs on the page). While the guidelines themselves have reached a high degree of consensus, its the application to the particular page that requires consensus in this place - and I haven't seen that happen with your comments. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 17:51, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you concerned about the format of the DAB or my comments to JHunter? I realized I typed a lot, the response was proportional to the issue. It was posted on JHunter's talk page because it was a response to him personally, an effort to explain why a number of his edits weren't in keeping with the desired style of DAB pages. Pasting it as is to a general talk page would make a good bit of what was said confusing or easily misunderstood, a lot of it was pointed to him and discussed his edits in detail. As far as I know the changes I made aren't a matter of conjecture and that the guidelines are clear and straight forward but I may have missed something and I try to always allow for that. However one simply can't call me wrong and revert my changes, there has to be something in policy to reinforce it. More compelling than the evidence I provided backing up my edits. But now things have gotten so out of hand now that we need an Admin who is familiar with the style guidelines to give an impartial review of the condition of the page. Hopefully JHunter and I can come to some kind of agreement.  æronphonehome  18:15, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My immediate concern is just the size of the comments and the time I have to look at them. And I don't see that you have established consensus for your version, only attempted to support your position with copious text - which you have kept out of sight (for whatever reason) from people that you should be trying gain consensus from. I will read that when I have a good chunk of time and provide my opinion. You will find few admins who have been more involved with DAB issues than JHunterJ. It might be good for both to step back for a bit. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 19:28, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is getting terribly out of hand. I understand your view though and would appreciate anyone's input on the matter at this point. It doesn't matter what privilege set or edit count someone has, JHunter's actions through this has solidified in my mind an image of \\Removed by request, perceived as a personal attack\\. It doesn't matter what he really is, this is my impression of him now. I've been civil (as I can be against that kind of behaviour), and my edits are backed up in that post I made to him. The "copious text" not withstanding. I've hid nothing, I'm trying to keep tall walls of text which is essentially me trying to get JHunter to get with the program out of a page meant for improvement of an article. The article's state is not in question, it's been validated to DEATH. I'm really discouraged right now about this and won't do it unless you want, but I can post a very abridged version of that post with all relevant information on the Na talk page to make review easier for you and others.  æronphonehome  19:42, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in no rush - both due to my other activities and the contentious atmosphere at the moment - so no need do so for me, although it would likely make it easier for you to find support. And I would suggest you remove your characterization of JHJ above as it is against policy. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 20:11, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not an attack, it's an impression. I have had problems with other editor on Wikipedia but I have never had an Admin of all people so blatantly disregard every single rule in the book and turn around and accuse me of all the things they're doing. To me it looks like political suicide, I don't know how else to classify it. I can't see him as anything but that because of it. I am colourful in my description of things, yes. Is it an issue of "can be seen as an attack"? Cause JHunter currently files my cleanup efforts of a DAB as an attack and ownership, so such a condition would be too loosely interpretable to properly police.  æronphonehome  20:39, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Template the Regulars

WP:DTTR is an essay. "Essays may represent widespread norms or minority viewpoints." I don't subscribe to WP:DTTR, and since I opened the 3RR report, I thought you would want to know. -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:04, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know it was an essay. It's just common sense. If you have a dispute with someone that isn't an IP or a redlink username then you talk to them about it and reach an agreement over the dispute. I did that with you and at first you were talking back (to me, not at me (I don't think)), and progress was made. But now you're stewing because I put your edits under a bright light and they didn't hold up. It's over now, little late to file a report, all you're doing is firing retreating shots like a child.  æronphonehome  13:10, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
