The Shan Wikipedia (Shan: ဝီႇၶီႇၽီးတီးယႃးတႆး pronounced [ʃán wɪkɨˈpiːdiə]) is the Shan language edition of the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia. This edition was started in July 2018, and has about 14,000 articles as of May 2024.

As of May 2024, there are 5,000 users, 2 admins and 71 files on the Shan Wikipedia.

  • The first workshop for Shan Wikipedia was held on January 22, 2011 at Lashio, Shan State, Myanmar.[1]
  • The second workshop for Shan Wikipedia was held on January 28, 2011 at Lashio, Shan State, Myanmar.[2]
  • The third workshop for Shan Wikipedia was held on January 20, 2015 at Mandalay, Myanmar. Myanmar Wikipedia also participated in this workshop and discussed how to work together.[3]
