Eaglesham is a hamlet in northern Alberta, Canada within Birch Hills County,[1] located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north of Highway 49, approximately 89 kilometres (55 mi) northeast of Grande Prairie.

Eaglesham is primarily a farming community, with farms for hundreds of miles in radius. Eaglesham also has a small K-12 school with 150 students [2] that serves the surrounding rural community and three nearby hamlets as well.[citation needed]

Demographics

As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Eaglesham had a population of 119 living in 55 of its 57 total dwellings, a 6.3% change from its 2006 population of 112. With a land area of 0.8 km2 (0.31 sq mi), it had a population density of 149/km2 (385/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
