KWJJ-FM (99.5 FM) is a commercial broadcast radio station located in the Portland, Oregon, area. The studio is near downtown Portland, while the main transmitter is atop Portland's Tualatin Mountains. KWJJ-FM airs a country music format.[1]

History

The station signed on the air on September 21, 1968 as KJIB with a beautiful music format. KJIB transitioned towards country in the early 1980s. On August 19, 1985, KJIB changed their call letters to the current KWJJ-FM. On January 6, 2004, KWJJ-FM rebranded as "99.5 The Wolf".

Jingles and sweepers

KWJJ uses the "Reelworld One Country" service after dropping their "IQ Beats" custom package in 2009.[citation needed] Sweepers are done by Emily Mcintosh and Jack Murphy.[citation needed] This is Mcintosh's 10th country client and her fifth "Wolf" station to do sweepers and custom liners.[citation needed]

KWJJ-HD2

KWJJ-HD2 airs a simulcast of sports-formatted KFXX 1080 AM "The Fan".

KWJJ-HD3

On October 26, 2015 KWJJ-HD3 launched with a simulcast of sports-formatted KMTT 910 AM "910 ESPN Portland".
