Speedy deletion of Stone spheres(balls) of Costa Rica
A tag has been placed on Stone spheres(balls) of Costa Rica requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Indeed, you are doing great! For more greatness, great justice, and great assorted other things, I'd like to point you at an essay for starting editors, which I believe is really good. It's located here. I do however have a small point of possible improvement: watch out with {{db-nonsense}}. speedy deletion is a fast, and relatively unchecked process, and care should be taken that the correct criteria are applied. criterium G1, patent nonsense is defined as
Patent nonsense and gibberish, an unsalvageably incoherent page with no meaningful content. This does not include: poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, vandalism, fictional material, material not in English, badly translated material, implausible theories, or hoaxes of any sort; some of these, however, may be deleted as vandalism in blatant cases.
Or, to paraphrase it the criteria is for when the article is patent nonsense, and is not supposed to be used when the subject of the article is patent nonsense i.e. jet propelled flight in the early 15th century is not a candidate for G1 if the content is coherent, even if the subject is clearly non-sensical. If you found anything noteworthy, incorrect, helpful or funny, please let me know so I can modify accordingly. - I'm not actually sure what you mean by 'to care and not to care' sections, feel free to edit either the main page or the talk page to put in what you think is missing. To me it kinda sounds like a page of wiki-specific definitions with qualifications of 'useful right now' and 'useful later', but I could be wrong. WLU (talk) 15:07, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
