Surely there are books about this sort of thing. Dream Focus 01:31, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

We have found a few sources for House Do'Urden and House Baenre, but we need some more. Useful sources may mention either or both of the houses, or any of the characters listed on those pages such as Liriel Baenre and Zaknafein Do'Urden. They are all characters from various Forgotten Realms novels, so they might be mentioned in book reviews for the books they have appeared in. BOZ (talk) 02:29, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

See Talk:Gospel of success, too. Attleboro (talk) 17:52, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Currently up for speedy deletion. --Shirt58 (talk) 14:34, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Here's a source you can use.[1] Are you planning on contesting it? A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 14:53, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
BTW, that was the only source I can find. Unless there's sources in foreign languages, it probably doesn't meet WP:GNG. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 14:58, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
I searched German sources and other than the EEU's own website there was nothing more I could find. OracleOfReason (talk) 14:28, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Looks like we both contested it. :) A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 15:05, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
If you are contesting it, why aren't you just removing the CSD? Anyone can decline a CSD except the article creator. Or are you guys under some sort of restriction? Gaijin42 (talk) 15:19, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
I've never contested a speedy delete before. I'm unfamiliar with the process. I assumed an uninvolved admin would make the decision of what to do next. Anyway, it looks like someone removed the notice. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 15:33, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
"Mi ne konsentas kun rapida..." might be "I don't consent to the speedy..." I'm still looking for something that is like "deletion"... but hey, as they say in Esperanto, "Ĝi estas laŭ mi Volapukaĵo!" --Shirt58 (talk) 15:39, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Anyone can remove a speedy delete notice, except the person who created the page (or in some cases the primary editor if they aren't the same person). You only have to "contest" the speedy via text like you did if you are the creator. If you think the speedy was inappropriate but it still deserves possible deletion attention, its courteous to replace the CSD with a PROD or AFD, but that is not mandatory, and whoever did the initial speedy nomination often does. Once removed the same speedy nomination cannot be replaced. (for the notability reasons etc. Copyright/vandalism/etc can be reapplied I believe) There is some confusion about if a different nomination reason can be applied or if all are invalid at that point. Gaijin42 (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Since someone asked about it on the talk page[2], mentioning it here. I believe this article can easily be saved. Dream Focus 15:20, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Everything on the list has referenced sources backing it up. Some sources for a few of the many entries are now in question on the talk page. Dream Focus 15:13, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

So what do you want the rescue squad to do for you? If the sources already exist, it really just seems like you're here to WP:Canvass for some arguments in your favor, which is not the proper use of this list.--Yaksar (let's chat) 16:02, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
I agree with Yaksar here. This is just a clarion call to militant keepists. Delete pbp 19:37, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
If people question some sources, then help finding new ones would be useful. Also finding books from throughout the ages talking about polymaths, or referring to people on the list as one, helps prove they should be there. If any college textbooks call someone a polymath, then that'd be something that would convince the disbelievers. Assume good faith. Dream Focus 23:01, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
But people aren't arguing delete simply due to weak sourcing, but rather due to the flawed premise of the entire article.--Yaksar (let's chat) 12:17, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
At the time I mentioned it at this Wikiproject, no one had commented other than the nominator and me. Whether a certain reliable source was reliable or not was mentioned in the nomination as one of the concerns. Dream Focus 14:14, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
I don't, how about a List of people who have been called pet eaters? Would this be worth saving? --Richhoncho (talk) 13:30, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Or how about immature people with nothing better to do than pick fights with others? Dream Focus 14:15, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Quite! --Richhoncho (talk) 18:40, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

There is a Category:HIV/AIDS_in_literature showing some books with their own Wikipedia articles already. Currently the list has a problem with non-notable entries. If anyone wants to do some work on this, I think the article could be saved. In its current state however, not much chance for that. Dream Focus 16:27, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Attention to detail; hard graft; pride in one's work; skill and practical wisdom. An opportunity to display your talent... Warden (talk) 09:23, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Interesting one this... I noticed the deletion nomination on Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland/Article alerts and it caught my attention because I had been to see the band a couple of times in the late nineties and bought their album (no idea where it is now). To be fair, the article was in terrible shape and looked like it had been written by a band member or fan, and has thus been dismissed as a vanity article about a "Myspace" band. This is a Scottish band that did at least one UK tour and one US tour (or at least played a series of dates in the US), as well as a BBC Radio Scotland live session. They should satisfy WP:MUS in spades.

That said, I'm having difficulty locating online references, presumably because they broke up eight years ago and these things have a shelf life. I've found a review in an old copy of Is This Music, a couple of paragraphs in a book The Great Scots Musicography, a mention in ShortList magazine (probably trivial: the guitarist is asked about a hotel they stayed in during their US tour) and I'm aware of a review in The Courier (a fairly major newspaper in the East of Scotland, has a larger circulation than the Scotsman or Herald). There should be more, but it's proving elusive. Any suggestions? Catfish Jim and the soapdish 15:26, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Some have mentioned the list just needs sourcing to prove those on it are "pundits". I've added some already. Help would be appreciated. Dream Focus 17:27, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

That misrepresents the delete arguments. I cannot see a single one of the 12 delete votes currently posted which says "the list just needs sourcing to prove those on it are "pundits"". Which votes are you referring to? The thrust of the deletion arguments points to the vagueness of the inclusion criteria - sourcing is hardly an issue. If you are going to call for action here, at least be accurate in describing the issues, please, before inviting people to spend time "solving" a sourcing issue that does not address the problem. Begoontalk 18:57, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Some people did mention the lack of references as a problem. Read through the AFD discussion, that appears multiple times. Anyway, too late now, its been deleted. Dream Focus 21:17, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

In my opinion, the article should be salvaged and saved. One problem is that "pundit" is a horrible title that rubs many people the wrong way. However, the article should be focused on mainstream broadcast media commentators, which has been an important part of TV cable news in the US since the 1990s. The article should have been called "List of political commentators", which now links back to "Pundit" (really??!!!). Crtew (talk) 10:23, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Unlike the other article, this case got 130,000 people to sign a petition. If anyone in Canada remembers news coverage of this, please mention any politicians that made a comment on it, or any new laws that might be created based on the petition. Google news archive search doesn't seem to cover a lot of Canadian media. Dream Focus 15:25, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi, the Jordan Lucas case was much worse! It involved the video taping of 36 animal cruelty events. Lucas has become infamous in Canada the same way Luka Magnotta became infamous. Both of these people are now notable. IQ125 (talk) 15:53, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

This church has received far more coverage than is required by our notability guidelines. In addition to the two books and eight newspaper articles currently cited in the article, a quick Google News search reveals plenty of potential sources for this article. Any help in adding them would be greatly appreciated. Neelix (talk) 15:27, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

It has not received "far more coverage than is required by our notability guidelines", and that observation has been made at its AfD and related ones also authored by User:Neelix, not just by myself. The citations given are non-notable community feature/advertorial copy, plus self-referential books apparently by congregation members, used to back up completely non-notable content that is entirely promotional in purpose, and all related to the Tara Teng article which though she is notable (Miss Canada) the body of the article and the endless over-citations are about trivial content that are WP:UNDUE. Neelix obstinately continues to claim that non-notable citations are somehow notable because he says so, but given the "nesting" of these articles, which are all over-written and spam-like and in Teng's case UNDUE content in extremis, and their very recent creation and sole authorship by Neelix, this posting here is an attempt to WP:POLL support for his cause.....and yes, it's a cause, and that implies other things. The articles are SPAM, NOTNEWS, LOCAL....and very like COI, though he denies this, though circumstantial evidence to the contrary abounds on Talk:Heritage Grill and Talk:Five Stones Church, which are part of this "nest".Skookum1 (talk) 17:15, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Local coverage and arguably meets WP:BRANCH. Mkdwtalk 01:44, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

In past AfD nominations, it claims to be supported by numerous reliable third party sources which was why it survived those nominations yet nobody got off their backsides to deal with the article's problems, which made the article a sitting duck for AfD, I doubt this article have ever progressed from being more like a statement for a student society, hence why I referred it to here. Donnie Park (talk) 15:02, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

I read through the four previous AFDs, and apparently since they are the oldest ski competition in the world, and they get coverage for this, they are considered notable. Dream Focus 14:28, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Article was in a bad state indeed when nominated, I started to refactor/add content and refs it to make it suitable. This is in line with stuff like Timeline of inventions. I feel this can be successfully rescued. --Cyclopiatalk 17:18, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Sorting through all the book results for her, and looking for news articles that aren't hidden behind paywalls, is taking some time. If anyone wants to help, just click some random book results and see if they say enough about her to count, then check to see if those books are considered notable enough to matter. She was getting coverage before marrying the founder of Wikipedia. Dream Focus 14:04, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

This is up for deletion again by an editor who didn't get his way last time, and is claiming that the only reason it was saved last time from deletion was because of "being ARS canvassed". If anyone has any college level textbooks or encyclopedias out there mentioning any politician as being famed for their integrity, please add additional references. Dream Focus 07:36, 8 July 2013 (UTC)'

Not very useful bickering here
Wow, there are so many things wrong with with this nomination. For starters, it's more ARS canvassing, which is frankly ironic. It was closed as no consensus last time, which was four months ago. Something closed as no consensus can be renominated at any time without it being disruptive. Oh, and had you bother to read the first AfD instead of just running here half-cocked, you would've noticed that it wasn't me who started the first AfD. pbp 15:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
May I remind you WP:CIVIL and please refactor your comment accordingly. Also, this is not really the place for discussing the list entries AFAIK -use the talk page. -- cyclopiaspeak! 16:04, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Nothing uncivil about my comments that aren't also. You also missed the part about factual inaccuracies in Dream's nomination pbp 17:04, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
I think you accidentally the whole thing. Gaijin42 (talk) 17:05, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
  • No one said you nominated it last time. You did try to delete it though, arguing with everyone in that AFD, but didn't get your way, so you are gaming the system by trying yet again. And you mentioned the ARS, making an unfounded and ridiculous often disproved accusation about this wikiproject. You could've nominated it without the slanderous attack. Dream Focus 18:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
That is also inaccurate. The only two people I argued with were Warden and you. Renomming something is not "gaming the system", what is gaming the system is posting to a page that's guaranteed to generate some keep voted. And I'm not retracting my assertion, so you'd best live with it. pbp 18:39, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Why would I care if you retract your assertion? Get over yourself already. No one cares what you say, you just whine constantly when you don't get your way, and keep spreading the same vicious lies about the ARS every chance you get. Dream Focus 18:43, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Clearly notable actress. Topic has plenty of room for expansion. Herzlicheboy (talk) 13:34, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

WP:PORNBIO number 1, you just need to show proof she has been nominated for significant awards in her industry. Google her name and that of each award, or check the official website of these awards for her name. I searched for "Sarah Jessie" "nominated" "awards" and see some places claiming she was nominated for various awards, but nothing specific found yet. You'll have to do some searching. Dream Focus 14:59, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I'm not that good with using google or search engines. How do I go about this again? Herzlicheboy (talk) 19:36, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

  • Just go to Google. Type in "AVN Awards" "nominee" "Sarah Jessie". You can also type in site:www.avn.com "AVN Awards" to search that website for its awards and see if she won anything. Keep looking around the results until you find something. I didn't see anything straight away, their webpage not well organized. You can also go to her official website at http://www.vipsarahjessie.com and click the contact button to ask her. I don't see her listing any award nominations on her site though. The nominator thinks that the "Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary" policy is violated. In my opinion, the references however clearly show that the topic of the article is not only a word, but a notable concept, first known mainly in Japanese culture, then internationally. I have expanded the article to explain this, but more sources could be added to explain this even more clearly. Furthermore, WP:WORDISSUBJECT perhaps applies here. • Lacking in sources that clearly distinguish this as its own topic (several sources listed in AfD, discussion over WP:NEWS and INHERITED)
  • Article is a widely known Wikipedia MediaWiki sub-project
  • As open source projects go, it is likely to be used elsewhere (and has already)
  • There's a Korean article (not that that counts for the AfD)
  • Handy for cross-wiki navigation which would be more difficult if merged
  • A good place for expanding the growing importance/feedback/effect of the editor on WP, which would not be possible in a smaller merged section Widefox; talk 13:56, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Mike Adriano (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion
This was nominated for deletion even though it clearly meets WP:PORNBIO, as Adriano has been nominated for 3 AVN awards and has won one XCRO award four (4) AVN awards, having won three (3) AVN awards, and has also been nominated for two (2) XRCO awards. These facts are even mentioned in the AFD. Like I said, I'm not really good with specific google searches, but this information is verifiable and extant. Please can you help take a look? Thank you. Herzlicheboy (talk) 00:19, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

In some countries the word "several" appears to have a different meaning. Not the first time someone made that mistake. Bad nomination do to misunderstanding of what the word means. [3] Dream Focus 01:34, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

I may have a Danish name, but I don't read Danish, which is the only reference for this article. Can someone help? It seems like a notable engineering design for small boats, but it needs more documentation.--DThomsen8 (talk) 01:36, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Was it okay, Dthomsen8, that I just edited the grammar for you? PinkTruffles123 (talk) 23:56, 17 August 2013 (UTC)PinkTruffles123
That's fine, since the article is tagged for copyediting anyway. Now someone removed the PROD tag, saying that it wasnot properly researched first.--DThomsen8 (talk) 01:29, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
We need more help with this article, since an AfD tag is now on the article. There is quite a bit of information about Circular arc hulls and the Swedish nautical engineer Fredrik Ljungström who invented them, it is just a question of creating appropriate references on the article to disprove the notability allegation.
Given that our article on the Ljungstrom sailboat is largely concerned with the hull, and given that the hull design seems to have been used for nothing else but sailing boats, I would suggest merging the hull article with the one on the boat. One good article has to be better than two sketchy ones... AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:21, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Good idea, but two questions: 1) Can you do the merger for us? 2) Would the merged section include information about Circular arc hulls before Fredrik Ljungström? --DThomsen8 (talk) 12:28, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
  • If it's on this list, then it would be better deleted than turned into another pile of the ARS' misunderstood regurgitated bilge. Competent articles are not produced by thought-free copy-pasting of unrelated snippets. Andy Dingley (talk) 22:07, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
As I've pointed out at the AfD, there seems to be a great deal of confusion about what the hull design in question actually consisted of. I suggest that before anyone attempts to 'expand' the article, they look at the sources already provided. AndyTheGrump (talk) 01:33, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Sydney ethnic enclaves (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs|google) AfD discussion If anyone can find sources in Australian newspapers or whatever, that talk about the ethnic enclaves of Sydney Australia, that'd be helpful. Most of the people living in that city had parents born in other nations according to their census. Dream Focus 00:12, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

  • I have found some news sources and added updated referenced material into the article. Lot of coverage in Australian newspapers about their ethnic enclaves. Some help referencing the remaining entries would be appreciated. Dream Focus 10:16, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
    • I have found some general sources in sociology books that, to my understanding, clearly recognize their existence, but I'm bewildered by the stern opposition of an editor to recognize them in the AfD. A historical wordprocessor for the Amiga series of computers. Heated AfD full of suspected sockpuppetry and/or canvassing and/or Amiga fanboys etc., but underneath it all is an article which seems (from my more neutral point of view as someone who doesn't know much about Amigas) to have some potential, if editors can sort the wheat from the chaff in the recently added references, work them into the article properly, make it NPOV, and ultimately distill what exactly was most notable about this software. The software's author seems to be in breach of a few wiki guidelines, but I'd be inclined to say never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity and encourage interested parties to see if the article can be fixed regardless of how other editors have behaved. Silas S. Brown (email, talk) 19:53, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

My name is Michael Haephrati and I am the creator of this software and the editor of some of the contents of the article (especially the latest). I made some mistakes along the way. I certainly have a lot to learn, but I do wish to learn and find the Wikipedia platform extremely fascinating. I indeed canvased once, trying to get the attention of other Amiga fans offsite. I then revised my post and apologized in my Talk page. There aren't any sockpuppeteers in the AwD page. I looked at the changes made by Mr. Silas Brown. He removed a link to my personal blog and placed sources form reliable news papers and magazines. I accept these changes and am happy for the help I have received here. The article indeed looks better now. I would appreciate any help with this article in the future. Thanks for giving me the chance to fix the flaws in this article. M. H. 20:24, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Remember, to find old magazines that have been out of print for a while, you just Google for their name, and look around for archives. Need to know what issue the review was in though, since these archives are just scanned in pages, not text you can use a search engine to find for you. Dream Focus 23:50, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I am looking for the web site where I can download this article (from HiScore Magazine, Denmark). and this one, from Aktuel Magazine in Germany. I did find the originals of most of the other sources online and they are provided as .zip files per each issue, which is why I downloaded and uploaded to Flickr. M. H. 09:13, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

This wound up at AFD just over an hour after its initial creation. I was surprised we didn't already have an article on this concept as we do for many other elements of a meal. A bit more prose and some refs should easily make it a keeper. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:54, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Looks like a snow keep - but anyone who can help with expansion will be welcome. AndyTheGrump (talk) 14:43, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm not quite sure about this myself but there seem to be several productive directions one could go. And, of course, the irony here is remarkable. Warden (talk) 09:35, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi, would you please help save this article. It seems the deletionists are out in force. Each item on the list has several citations for reliable sources, so I think it should pass Wikipedia's standard for what an article needs. Thank you IQ125 (talk) 11:33, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Note that this list consists largely of two articles previously deleted by overwhelming consensus on grounds of non-notability and WP:BLP violations. Wikipedia is not a platform for advocacy and 'righting great wrongs'. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:46, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
In that case, what are you asking editors to do? By the looks of it, you're trying to use this list to canvass, considering you've said the sourcing is fine and you just want them to come help keep it.--Yaksar (let's chat) 14:28, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
As you can see some editors a Wikipedia have nothing better to do than track me through my edit history and attempt to delete articles. They add nothing to Wikipedia only the belief in deletionism! These are not good attributes for editors at Wikipedia. IQ125 (talk) 15:10, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
I see you have not explained why you posted here. What was your intended purpose in doing so? AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:14, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Not sure I've ever interacted with you before or have any real idea who you are. If by "track[ing] through your edit history and attempt[ing] to delete articles" you mean nominated one of your articles then sure, but don't try to paint yourself as some sort of long term harassment victim by me please. Thanks.--Yaksar (let's chat) 15:17, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately, they are vandalizing the article, by deleting full sections! I reverted it back, but I do not was to go 3RR, so I will need some help with that. I remind editors not to alter an article when it is under AFD. Thank you IQ125 (talk) 15:22, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
An article being at AfD doesn't mean that BLP violations are allowed. The content that violates BLP should be speedily removed; if that's the whole article, the article should be speedily deleted. pbp 15:26, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
It is worth noting that the person IQ125 initially accused of 'vandalism' is Cyclopia [4] - who presumably edited the article after seeing this thread. Cyclopia !voted 'keep' at the AfD... AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:34, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Its fine for anyone to ask for help getting an article into shape, finding better references, expanding it, etc. It is what we do here. Please assume good faith and don't make accusations against someone. Since there are thousands of cases of animal cruelty that are mentioned in the news each year, I don't think you can possibly list all of them. If someone could find cases that were notable based on them resulting in sufficiently large protest or petitions, or having elected officials pass stronger laws based on them, then the article would be valid for Wikipedia. I found one reliable source giving the book a review. It was nominated for two notable awards, but didn't win either. If someone can help find another review for the book, that'd would eliminate all doubt of its notability. Dream Focus 02:32, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Unfortunate for the prospects of keeping (or merging) the Fantasy Football Guidebook article is the fact that the article for its author, Sam Hendricks, has also been nominated for deletion. - tucoxn\talk 21:00, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Nothing to do with this AFD though. You get two reviews in reliable sources, and the book article gets kept. Got one there already. If someone can find another, then it'll get kept. If not, who knows? Dream Focus 21:43, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Bob Fitrakis has over 40,000 hits on Google. He has done just about everything and is best known for his activities exposing and fighting voting irregularities in Ohio elections. He has been called a "conspiracy theorist" by the nom, despite there being tons of evidence (and findings) for fraud and abuse in Ohio elections. Great Jedi Purge

The ARS has suffered significant attrition like the Jedi and so there's an entertaining parallel in this topic. This came to mind in another discussion in which the ARS was referred to in a way which indicates that it is still feared by those who follow the dark side. I've expanded a bit the stub about this "select an app" feature of Android, with a highly cited paper from an ACM conference (the most prestigious computing society), and included a small description. This article isn't up for deletion, but in its current state it's almost begging to be. It was gutted earlier this year of a lot of unsourced and PR-ish content, but what was left behind fails to assert any notability or importance. My feeling is that those probably exist but aren't documented adequately in either the article or its history; perhaps the ARS would be willing to do some digging to find new sources or verify the old ones in the pre-gutting version of the article, so that the article can become an article again? Sorry if this isn't how you do things; I don't work in ARS-related areas usually but it struck me that you guys are good at dredging up sources, and that's what this article lacks. Reliable sources available (some referenced) which show notability, subject seems notable by wiki standards, editors seem to be focused on notability and lack of it without doing due diligence, the focus may be more about deleting for ease of it than following spirit of wiki policy. The original article editor has been accused of advocacy and although this article subject seems to be notable enough the editors may be focused on deletion by association which is not proper reason. We don't often get images here but we ought to pay more attention to these as the bureaucracy around this is so unpleasant that few users master it and the encyclopedia suffers greatly as a result. In this case, the image is of author and preservationist Nicholson Baker who has written excellent accounts of his ARS work: How I fell in love with Wikipedia; Nicholson Baker’s Last Stand. If anyone has access to journal/newspaper databases such as Factiva, I would be grateful if you would search for articles about Roger Cram (the college professor, not the lawyer) and then attempt to convince the other users that Roger Cram actually exists, is notable, and is not a hoax. PROD was added to article. Subsequently, a few reviews and an award for his works were located. Hoping someone can find more sourcing to retain this article. I believe someone posted some links on the talk page that I intend to look at this evening. BOZ (talk) 14:02, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

This would pass WP:AUTHOR see the reviews of his work at Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting#Reception. -- Green C 15:46, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

This seems to be mainly a procedural misunderstanding but there's good scope to develop and improve the content too. Andrew (talk) 22:25, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

A game cake

PROD was added to article about a role-playing game. I added a little from one source that I had. BOZ (talk) 15:06, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

  • There's not much that can be done to save the article as one or more of the following applies to the sources available on him:
  1. Unreliable source
  2. Not third-party
  3. Trivial coverage
In previous AfD's, you overlooked lack of reliability and/or whether the sources were third-party when citing WP:GNG. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 06:04, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Please keep your debate in the AFD discussion. So far four others have participated and all of them said KEEP. Hopefully when this AFD ends, you won't start it up yet again every few months so we have to keep doing this. Dream Focus 09:14, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
WP:NOTAGAIN is an argument to avoid in deletion discussions. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 14:30, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Maybe your tenacious editing behavior will become an argument to make. For example you respond to nearly every !vote and nearly always have the last word even if it means dozens of replies. Your arguments are often novel and non-standard like the nomination of this AfD. You are seemingly obsessed with this one article, to the point of being blocked at least once for 3RR. You constantly dissmiss and ignore arguments made by other people by citing a gobbledygook of essay acronyms, despite the very same essay Introduction says don't do that, and ignore other editors who try to kindly inform you about it. This AfD is further solidifying a base of people working against you, in part due to your poor behavior, which you probably can't see, except in its effects: lots of Keep votes. -- GreenC 21:38, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

Video game designer BLP article, often credited by birth name William Mataga. Some slight sourcing has been found, but better sourcing would be helpful. BOZ (talk) 04:30, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

A Russian game company that has created its own articles and linked to its games in other articles, claims to have made all these games listed on this list. Some are actually made by other companies, with no evidence they have the rights to them. Anyone feel like helping me look into this? If the company has made notable and legal ports of games that have their own Wikipedia articles, then the list is justified. Dream Focus 08:41, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

I think I have done a good job digging up sources (three books with at least several paragraphs, one with two chapters, and ~10 news articles with significant focus on him), but I am a weak writer and my prose is taking fire ([11]). The article could turn out to be pretty stand up with a copy edit I think. Antrocent (♫♬) 05:19, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

In full disclosure, I work for Rubenstein Communications on behalf of Matti Leshem. I've been active on the talk page, eliciting feedback from editors, and one suggested I post the page here. NinaSpezz (talk) 18:58, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

The article was created by a single purpose account in 2010, the guy himself or someone working for him most likely. Anyway, I looked through the news results about this guy, and added a bit to the article and a couple of references. He has received coverage for some of the notable things he has done. Most of the references in this article don't seem to be reliable sources. Do the articles linked to on the list have information about those locations being reported haunted, and do they have more reliable sources in them? Can this article be rescued? I'm going to start work now, if you feel like just picking an entry or two and helping with it, every little bit helps. Dream Focus 09:09, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

  • Closed as KEEP. Some of the 50 states listed have official government websites you can Google to find a list of haunted places. I added some references, but that a lot of work to do it all. Dream Focus 08:12, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
