DCAU Wiki[edit]

Hi! Have you considered signing up with the DC Animated Universe Wiki? Your comprehensive episode summaries for these shows would be welcome there, unlike here, where episodes must meet the criteria of WP:EPISODE. I'm not trying to put you down, but all your detailed recaps will very likely be deleted, and that would be a waste. See this discussion. --DCAUFan 13:14, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Conspiracy[edit]

Do we really need a second-by-second synopsis, and a line-by-line recitation of dialogue?

Sorry, but I prefer a nice consistent read that looks like someone at least took their time and care in writing it. Not slicing it up into scraps of info like some 16 year old stoner wrote it. "Picard like goes to some planet and like talks to this other guy who tells him like not to trust nobody. That dude's ship explodes and Picard's like "holy shit, arm the photon torpedos!" Then he like gets pissed and goes to Earth to kick some ass". Okay, I might be exaggerating, but how you cut it all up was equally as lame in my opinion. Oh, and it's hardly a "second-by-second synopsis" or a "line-by-line recitation of dialogue". Cyberia23 00:52, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please leave "Cultural references" sections in paragraph form, rather than bulleted form. Thank you, Ctjf83Talk 19:12, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Curse of Nostrildamus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence that this comic is in any way notable, not every short story (heck, not even every full-length story) by notable artists in notable series is a notable subject in itself.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Vampire origins and physiology in The Strain trilogy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Hello, I'm Doniago. I wanted to let you know that I undid your recent edits to the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows plot summary because they added a significant amount of unneeded detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Actually...[edit]

just a rarer usage. 87.1.125.215 (talk) 14:31, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong. There is no correct usage of "a" in "existence"; it is a frequent error, blessed by commonality to the point where few people pick up on it.--Crouchbk (talk) 18:57, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You might be right. This is the only place where I found "existance", and unfortunately italian WP is not that reliable. Haven't found the "a" spelling in anything I've consulted in english. 87.1.125.215 (talk) 19:49, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Razor Girl (novel)[edit]

Hi, I'm Megalibrarygirl. Crouchbk, thanks for creating Razor Girl (novel)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This article needs references. I know that there are several sources behind paywalls and will add those. You need to add your own sources, too, otherwise your article can be deleted.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Megalibrarygirl (talk) 18:34, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your articles such as Razor Girl (novel) and War Dogs (novel), please note that good articles on fiction include context and describe the impact of books and stories, rather than merely restate the plot. See WP:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction. Articles should primarily be based on secondary sources that discuss a work of fiction: the book itself is a primary source, so plot and characters description should not dominate an article. An encyclopedia article is not structured the same way as a book report or book jacket synopsis. Cheers, --Animalparty! (talk) 00:15, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Crouchbk. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, List of characters in novels by Tim Dorsey, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

The Crocodile Collector moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, The Crocodile Collector, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Linking of dates and years[edit]

Please do not link unless they are relevent to the topic and will help one understand more about the current page. See WP:DATELINK and MOS:OVERLINK. Your edit to Daracula 2000 linked the year 2000 and 1897. 2000 and 1987 are not significant to the article. Going to 2000 or 1987 will not give you more insight into the film. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 08:23, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 9[edit]

December 2022[edit]

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the Underworld (2003 film) plot summary have been removed because they added a significant amount of unnecessary detail. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 14:37, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
