WWE 13

I left an section on issues with WWE 13. why was it removed? The issues stated are verified issues from multiple source and from playing with the game. These glaring technical issues should be disclosed to the public, so people aren't being ripped off by a company that clearly engaged in fraudulent behavior.

Issues

The game is plagued with a number of game breaking issues. A patch was issued in November which did not fix the issue. THQ has been silent as to when a new patch will be available. As the games stands now it is unplayable, and it was falsely advertised. Most of the new features that THQ stated would be in the game does not work. Universe 3.0 does not work. The creation system that allows for custom tag teams and stables does not work, as the game will reset the stables back to default. Also please not that many have stated that the game will actually erase save data and will freeze prompting an manual reset. By doing this you run the risk of "bricking" your system. The custom belt editor does not work as belts do scale properly to created wrestlers, not to mention the games loses audio and the commentary and ring announcer cannot properly identify who is who and the will state that every wrestler is in a stable called the agents. THQ will not issues refunds so they have effectively stolen money from their consumers, engaged in consumer fraud, and they have engaged in false advertisement to bolster the sales of this very technically flawed product. Yeah, Wikipedia works by proof, rather than truth. You need to use citations (proof) for your statement you wish to add. Preferably from reliable, authorative sources and be written neutrally.

Problem editing Prinair Flight 191

I'm not sure what I did to cause this. I duplicated the procedure for editing the link to the first NTSB Report when trying to fix a dead link for the second NTSB Report. I've fixed quite a few bad links to NTSB Accident Reports with no problems. I tried to copy and past the error message but that didn't work. I wrote it down so I can give it to someone.

Indigo etc

I am a user of pages in general ur pretty good but I am concerned about a few things. Writing that are value laden or hypocritical ie one sided arguments. Eg indigo section is very rude. I wanted a quick answer to what this indigo people represent and expected facts not bullying. This is not ok. Are you referring to the article Indigo? It's mainly about the color but mentions people in Indigo#Spiritualism. Or maybe you mean Indigo children or something else at Indigo (disambiguation)? PrimeHunter (talk) 03:31, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

About awarding barnstars

I will try to summarize:

1. A barnstar is given "to reward Wikipedia contributors for hard work and due diligence" (according to WP:Barnstar)
2. Go to a user's user page or talk page and click the red "heart" button at the top for a list of barnstars and other awards.
3. Anyone can award them.

Status Template

Hello. I'm trying out a new status template-{{StatusTemplate}}, and I've added the required code from the documentation page, as well as purging and bypassing the cache. However, it does not seem to be working. The script is supposedly buggy, but I want a quick check before I give up. My .js page is at User:Thekillerpenguin/vector.js. The script probably is not working anymore as it has not been edited since 2008. After all, the template says "Due to the bugginess of Henrik's automod script the auto update links may not work for long periods of time, if you know of a way to fix this issue it'd be most appreciated." everything looks distorted

hello there! i logged in on monday morning to find that my editing toolbar is completely distorted. all the links are all over the place and it is very hard for me to continue editing in this manner. i use google chrome and i've tried to disable some of the tools i had activated months ago in my preferences, however i can't seem to get around it. has this happened to anyone before? i appreciate your help. i just want to keep working as i used to... I could probably make the change myself, but I don't know what colour spectrum to use. I once altered the colours used on a site of my own, to make them more colour-blind friendly, following advice from a web site which claimed to specialise in this. Thanks for replying. I could not say about your web site as I do not know which colorblindness your friend has. Stick with a red-blue spectrum when in doubt. I have changed the male map from a red-green to a red-blue spectrum. Please let me know what you think. (To me, with normal colour vision, the new image is slightly less pleasing aesthetically, but perfectly easy to understand.) World Extreme Skiing Championship

I'm trying to post and provide links to verify facts about the http://worldextremeskiingchampionships.com/ and the http://www.worldextremesnowboardingchampionships.com/index.html with facts. A user named Bonadea is deleteing the material and links that provide real history. why would Bonadea be permited to delete materials that verify what was put on wiki. He has as much right to delete the material as you have to add it. He has given his reason for deleting it, in his edit summary: he considers the material you have added to be "unsourced, promotional, unencyclopedic." I tend to agree. Gadget problem related to UI

This problem started when the UI got messsed up this week. I've been unable to fix the gadget problem. I use the latest version of Firefox.

This is the gadget: "Add page and user options to drop-down menus on the toolbar." I use Vector. The first symptom was the words "Page" and "User" showed only halfway. Subsequently - and still now - the words don't show up at all. All I have are the down arrows. I tried unchecking the gadget. I cleared my cache, closed Firefox, reopened Firefox, and rechecked the gadget. The problem hasn't gone away.

Chimney sweep -categorisation help and advice.

Hi, a number of fairly experienced editors have contributed to Chimney sweep which features the World's first recognised occupational disease and first legislation against child labour, either of which should make it a high importance article. Unbelievably it's languishing as a low importance household item yet we can't find anywhere to classify it -or to get the expert attention it deserves. It might need to be merged with Chimney sweeps' carcinoma and it needs more sources but it is a potential featured article. Please advise -and thanks in eager anticipation! Hi, My name is Paula Boam and I was Jeffrey's wife. It is listed that Jeffrey died from a rare lung disease, he did not. He died from a very rare connective tissue disease, that affected all his organs. He suffered greatly in his last two years of life. Being hopitalized 32 times and in an amublace 17 times. He was never felt sorry for himself, he always tried to be the best at his work and be a great father, husband and friend. He is missed greatly. I just wanted to clear up that Jeffrey died from a connective tissue disease. Thanks for letting me clear this up. In order to change the page, it would be best if there was some reliable source that is publicly accessible so we can verify the information you provided, and then the appropriate edits could be made. There is a procedure called BE BOLD but your changed would likely be reversed because it would seem to be an unsourced change. Also, since you are personally connected to Jeffrey, I would recommend you avoid directly editing the article yourself, according to the conflict of interest policy. A Google search does not show that Boam died of a connective tissue disease. I searched other data bases and did not find how Boam died. If you have the specific name of the connective tissue disease that he died from, please post. Lest the above comments seem insensitive: the problem is that on the Internet, anybody can claim to be anybody. We have no way of telling that you are indeed Paula Boam, so we have to go with published information, rather than what you tell us. Towards the end of the article, the "rare lung disease" is indeed referenced as "Variety: 67. 2000-02-07". Unfortunatly, I don't have this issue (or any issue) of Variety magazine to check this. Non-free logo

The article that I'm working on mentions the elephant as the symbol of the US Republican party. Would this justify the use of the (non-free) logo? The policy states allowable usage for "critical commentary" - but I'm not sure if this would qualify. The Cultural depictions of elephants article discusses (or soon will) various usages of elephants as symbols on flags, etc., and the Rep. party is mentioned. I'd say it probably wouldn't. Currently, the file is only being used on three articles, these articles only use the file in their infoboxes. Rationales for usage of non-free media in infoboxes can be far broader than rationales for usage of files in bodies of articles. It may be acceptable if the article you're working on discusses the logo in a way that the file would be needed for necessary additional visualization that the article cannot describe in text. On Commons, there are multiple illustrations of elephants as symbols of the GOP that are free: File:JUDGE04B.JPG, File:HarmonyTaftRooseveltCannon.jpg, File:NastRepublicanElephant.jpg, file:Elephants on the windows at TampaBay Social Media Command Center.jpg, File:Bush Inauguration08.jpg. You can link to the section using an anchor, see WP:ANCHOR. I am going to change the section headings in the article to simplify them per WP:MOSHEAD. Convert function

I was editing Blue Moon (beer) and after saving my edits I noticed (Expression error: Division by zero kJ/L)in bright red when I saved the page. Worried that I had somehow clicked something and done it myself, I looked into this and discovered that something was set wrong initially. I tried a few things with preview to fix it and none of them worked. I then looked around the Help Desk for a bit and couldn't find the Convert function anywhere.

Editing a location template

With the recent updates to MediaWiki that cause malformed {{coord}} templates to produce errors, our longstanding {{Location map USA Alaska}} template is messed up; according to the display, it's centered at more than 200ºE, which isn't possible because numbers only go up to 180º. Looking at the code, I'm guessing that the map centering is caused by the

| x = (100*(({{{3}}} + ({{{3}}} < 0)*360) - 172)/((-129 + 360) - 172))

Fok_it

There is a Finnish newspaper comic strip called Fok_it with an underscore. Now Wikipedia seems to consider spaces and underscores as equal in article titles. If I were to write an article about it, would the title appear as "Fok it"? Would this be a problem? JIP | Talk 05:49, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Query about Wikipedia search box

How does the Wikipedia search box determine which articles should be suggested first? Eg. the first suggestion for 'A' is 'Animal'. Till 11:04, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

• If you compare the Pageview statistics for Animal with (for example) those for Actor, you'll see that Animal is far more popular (so far more likely to be what you are looking for). • My explanation was a bit simplistic, because Anime was more popular over the last 30 days than Animal, but you can see that items are roughly ordered based on popularity: maybe the popularity index used for autosuggest was last updated several months ago. Maybe other criteria are also taken into account: with Google, for example, it seems that autosuggest may also be partially based on your past search history if you are logged in.

Bad links

Hi, I spent 7 hours drafting an article yesterday and included around 30 links that were fine yesterday. I've gone back in today to continue editing and none of them work, it simply says 'bad title'.

Please can you help or point me in the right direction, I've spent a lot of time on this.

They don't work because the syntax is incorrect. When linking to a wikipedia page you should use the format [[TARGET PAGE TITLE|What I want to call it]] and for external links [targeturl(SPACE)Title of target]. Keri (talk) 15:46, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

In the place you want the link to the footnote to appear (like this:), type the following: <ref>your source</ref>. Then, at the bottom of the page, add a section called "References", and type the following: {{Reflist}}. Deleting a Sandbox article and creating a new Sandbox

Can anyone help advise me on the following difficulty? I created a Sandbox article and then moved it to Wikipedia. Today I wanted to start a new article, went to the Sandbox (or so I thought), did not know how to delete the article that had been moved, and promptly started the new article while leaving the old title in place. Later, to my horror, I discovered that the new draft had somehow replaced the 'live' article that I believed I had moved out of the Sandbox. I've reverted so that the damage is now undone. However, I still have the problem as first stated. How do I delete this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Kim_Traynor/sandbox so that it no longer appears in my Sandbox; and how do I start a new article in the Sandbox once I've done that? Also, is there any way of deleting the crazy edits from the new draft now appearing on the viewhistory page of the live article? Does the Sandbox space become immediately available as a blank space following deletion? Any advice would be much appreciated, even if it's only to tell me where to look for the proper instructions which I haven;t been able to find yet. Kim Traynor (talk) 18:32, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Your confusion came because on moving your sandbox to article space the sandbox was left with a redirect to the article in mainspace. Hence when you went into your sandbox again you began to edit the article in mainspace. i have now replaced the sandbox redirect by just a link, so now you can go into the sandbox and replace it by whatever you want next. - David Biddulph (talk) 18:40, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

If you find yourself in the same situation again in future, when you get redirected you'll see a note at the top of the article saying that you've got there via a redirect. Display problem with bullet followed by an indent

When I scroll away and come back to this, I can see a second bullet (infront of C). But on the instant I click on somewhere within the page to place the cursor, it disappears. Am I the only being being able to see this phenomenon? Yes, I cannot see this effect on Fitefox 16.0.2, but strangely, two bullets are there. The difference is that it would not disappear on clicking. However on Google chrome 23.0.1271.95 m, the effect is still there. Editing Silurian page
