Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at The Godfather, you will be blocked from editing. Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 15:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Ron Howard. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you.--M4gnum0n (talk) 14:23, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Sarah Brown (wife of Gordon Brown), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Eric Brown (pilot), because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
Your edit here to Eric Brown (pilot) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQzVZde_Ms4) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 14:24, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 22:04, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Your insinuations about certain editors are not acceptable: they are personal attacks. I note this edit, and now this one, which I've removed as trolling. The block log for this IP address is not quite as long as that for some of those editors you pointed at, but much more justified, and I am adding to it with a block for trolling. Drmies (talk) 14:31, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for trolling. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Not possible to create account. This IP is used by large organisation with very many users. This "vandalism" seem to be just two observations about a certain editor. May or may not be by same person, but hardly vandalism. 20.133.0.13 (talk) 10:07, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit if you feel they have been resolved.

Hello 20.133.0.13. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Andrew Bayer (Musician)".

If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to CIE 1931 color space does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.

The edit summary appears in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks!

Also, I suggest to review this guideline: WP:ENGVAR

BarrelProof (talk) 16:27, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your changes to Color space and Color model seem to have the same issues (but I don't see a problem with your changes to Candela, Lumen, Radiance and Irradiance, since the WP:ENGVAR-related changes in those edits seem to be improving the consistency of what was already the dominant variation in those articles). —BarrelProof (talk) 16:30, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Guidelines on national varieties of English

Information icon In a recent edit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. --Srleffler (talk) 01:23, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your repeated edit and its reference to "international spelling"

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at CIE 1931 color space. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges.

I see that you repeated the change of spelling, this time with the edit summary "reverted to international spelling". I actually have a significant amount of sympathy with the concept of international spelling. However, that is not the way Wikipedia has agreed to manage its articles. Again I suggest to please read the WP:ENGVAR section of the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Rather than attempting to apply "international spelling", Wikipedia prefers to allow different articles to use different varieties of English and to have stability in regard to which variety is used in a particular article. Your repetition of the change seems disruptive and unhelpful, since it seems to not follow this guideline.

Please also see where the Wikipedia:Manual of Style says "Style and formatting should be consistent within an article, though not necessarily throughout Wikipedia. Where more than one style is acceptable, editors should not change an article from one of those styles to another without a good reason. Edit warring over optional styles is unacceptable." —BarrelProof (talk) 16:30, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
