Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Requests
This page has a backlog that requires the attention of willing editors. Please remove this notice when the backlog is cleared. |
If you think an article about video games should be added to Wikipedia and know that it meets the inclusion criteria above, please list it below with URL links to the reliable sources that prove its notability (e.g., reviews or dedicated coverage from IGN or Polygon, but not forum posts, blogs without a professional staff, or the official website of the subject). Please do not add games or developers that do not yet meet this notability criterion, as they will be deleted; instead help us work on another current article and remember to add the game/developer if they meet the criteria in the future. Once an article is created, please remove the request. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for creation for more information on what articles are acceptable. Thank you.
If you placed a request here that was since removed, it likely did not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline, and is not a fit topic for an article at this time.

- Trouble Witches (series) - It would be helpful to have information regarding this dōjin bullet hell series from Studio SiestA and Adventure Planning Service. There has been some mixed information regarding the original dōjin Windows PC release (Trouble Witches Episode 1 ~Daughters of Amalgam~) and the arcade release (Trouble Witches AC Episode 1 ~Daughters of Amalgam~) that could help bridge the gap a lot of the gameplay differences of the Xbox Live Arcade release of the arcade game (Trouble Witches NEO! Episode 1 ~Daughters of Amalgam~), along information on the canceled PC release of Trouble Witches AC (Trouble Witches AC was originally planned for a PC release instead of arcades) and the early development of the game's English localization by the developers entitled "The Tomboyish Witches ~With Amalgam's Cutie Girls~". It also appears that the developers of Studio Siesta and Adventure Planning Service plans on making a sequel to Trouble Witches Episode 1 with Trouble Witches Episode 2 ~with Descendants of ancient Dragon the soulless~ that is expected to be released on Xbox Live Arcade in the near future (according to the developer's homepage).|AnubisOracle (talk) 22:48, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

- Comment: @Hahnchen: I won't remove it again but instead I'll explain why I've been removing this request. Using the "audioguide+louvre" google search, all I could find were these: [7](Primary reference) [8](Press release) [9](Valid) [10](Valid). After the 2nd page all I could find was screenshots and download links. With this information, you could probably incorporate this into the Louvre article with no issues but creating its own, fully fledged article will be difficult with the current resources available. --Anarchyte 08:55, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

- Maybe. There's a lot of sources that mention him in addition to what you provided (GiantBomb isn't very reliable, but the others two are), including from Eurogamer, Time, Game Informer, and Rock Paper Shotgun. My main issue is that nearly everything is about a couple of games he did, as opposed to actually him. Supernerd11 Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 04:40, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
- He also created Ir/rational Redux,[14][15] and worked on Binary Domain,[16] Driver: San Francisco and Lost Horizon. Here's a ref for the nomination.[17] Develop mentions him here and here. - I propose we remove all recent entries by Coin945 that only have Metacritic links. This is not an overview of games listed at Metacritic that do not have Wikipedia pages. 'It has a page at Metacritic and not at Wikipedia' is not enough to justify spamming this page with entries. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 13:11, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- If a game has a Metacritic page, it means it has been reviewed by at least 4 notable critics, thereby justifying its notability. I have already received permission to add the games here. I am using this page for its intended purpose. If you want the page to be nice and short again, then I guess you'll have to start creating some of these articles... :D--Coin945 (talk) 02:28, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
- It's more likely I'll write a script that will find every single game with four or more reviews on Metacritic that does not yet have a Wikipedia article, and then paste all those (tens of?) thousands of games here. That would be way more effective to prove my point. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 07:02, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Could you legit actually do that? It would create a huuuge list, but it is a valuable list nonetheless. It would near guarantee the creation of articles on all notable video games within the last x years without any being left out. It could be a subpage from here.--Coin945 (talk) 14:53, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

A remake of DayZ built in the Doom engine. Reviewed by a number of gaming sites which should prove it's credibility. I'm involved with the project so cannot write the article myself. Thanks in advance for contributing.

WINTREK was written in 1989 when Windows 3.1 was first released. It was probably the first shareware game to take advantage of the new MMSYSTEM DLLs, which provided audio and video hooks into Windows. Before this, Windows did not support any audio or color graphics display. At the time, the Windows API was poorly documented by Microsoft, which made writing this game a challenge. By today's standards, WINTREK is primitive in terms of graphics and special effects, but it is still a fun game to play. Source taken from the actual Wintrek creators page. It is a cult classic. - Brutal Doom - As Doom mods go, this one seems to have received significant attention from gaming press for a couple of years now, implying that it's not merely one of the many mods which inspire a surge of articles for a few days and then get forgotten. A quick look through reliable sources returns results from e.g. PC Gamer, Polygon, Kotaku. It's also been positively referenced by John Romero himself in a video by IGN. I'm not sure if that's enough of coverage though. JudgeDeadd (talk) 19:50, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

Info for CD version simply needs to be merged to the new article. Anyone agree? 2602:306:80E5:6970:89D7:3681:D14D:9923 (talk) 16:16, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

That’s the kind of relationship we have. When the three of us come together and talk it seems like we have completely different perspectives, but ultimately we have the same perspective on what is the issue right now and what is the challenge right now.
