Hi! You recently deleted Maheshinte Prathikaaram: Original Score as WP:CSD#G7. The article was at Afd at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maheshinte Prathikaaram: Original Score which MBisanz closed later as delete. Being the nominator of the AfD, I do not object to the eventual deletion of the article; be it as a result of AfD or maybe creator's own request. But the deletion summary for G7 here says that "If you wish to retrieve it, please see WP:REFUND" and linking to REFUND gives an impression that the article was "uncontroversially deleted". Years later, if someone were to request an undeletion, given the current summary, it would be restored easily disregarding the AfD consensus.
Am not sure if anything can be done now to alter the edit summary, but just wanted to highlight this to you. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 12:20, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Aa 09a nasasuit flagfound.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to :File:Aa 09a nasasuit flagfound.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sumanch (talk) 05:30, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

The logo of the Mediation Committee while it was active

The Mediation Committee was a panel of editors who resolved content disputes on Wikipedia articles by providing formal mediation. The Mediation Committee was established with the Arbitration Committee in 2003 by Jimmy Wales and was the last stage of content dispute resolution on the English Wikipedia. Mediation was entered into voluntarily by the parties to the dispute and did not result in binding resolutions. The Mediation Committee policy documented how the Mediation Committee, its mediators, and the formal mediation process operated. This policy was maintained by the Committee and was considered an authoritative codification of how Committee matters should be conducted.

After a substantial period of inactivity, the Mediation Committee was shut down by community consensus on 12 November 2018.

Hey, I saw you nominated AXiomatic for deletion. It seems like it was PRODded prior to your AFD nomination. In this edit, did you mean to remove the PROD? I wasn't sure if you were replacing the PROD with an AFD, or if you meant for the PROD to remain. In any event, this stray text is now showing up at the top of the article: "db-spam|help=off". Thanks. Safehaven86 (talk) 15:52, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Ok, this edit fixed the stray text I was referring to. Safehaven86 (talk) 23:05, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Please consider reactivation at MedCom

This is being sent to you because you are listed as an emeritus member of MedCom and an examination of your contribution page suggests that you are still active at en-Wikipedia. MedCom is currently down to three or four active members (there are more than that on the active member list, but some of them have not edited Wikipedia in quite awhile). We have a current case awaiting a mediator which is receiving no response from the request for a mediator sent on the MedCom mailing list a couple of days ago, Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Expulsion of Cham Albanians. Would you please consider reactivating your membership, taking that case, or both? If you're interested in doing so and are not still on the MedCom mailing list, please just let me know and I'll reactivate you and add you to the list. Best regards, TransporterMan (talk · contribs) 19:43, 5 October 2016 (UTC) (current MedCom chairperson)

History split of Pike potato

The fact that you accidentally moved Pike (potato) twice to Pike potato and the latter page has previously been moved to the former by JHCaufield has caused a mess in the history of the title without parentheses. To fix this, you should split out all of the redirect revisions (494354966, 527356121, 744106718, and 744106767) to the title with parentheses. Thank you for the amount of work that you put into the histmerges. I know that it can be difficult to be the only one (currently) that is performing the histmerges. You are making a huge difference in improving Wikipedia and I highly appreciate the work that you have done so far. Keep up the good work and hopefully other people will join you in tackling the histmerges. MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 21:48, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Hist merge

Ferd (disambiguation) was redirected to Ferd. But some history merging is needed. The dab page was created in 2015 but currently it gives off the impression it was created yesterday. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 18:46, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Doublecheck this plan for a history merge?

Anthony, sorry to drop this on you unannounced, but I remember you from the old days and I see that you're a regular at requests for history merges. I recently closed a big 'ol AFD discussion that resulted in a consensus to redirect Iron Lady to Margaret Thatcher. There is also a disambig page called Iron Lady (disambiguation), which wasn't affected by the AFD. I've been asked to make a history merge to move the conversation from Talk:Iron Lady (which casual users are unlikely to find now, due to the redirect) to Talk:Iron Lady (disambiguation).

My plan is to do the following:

Would that be a reasonable way to do this? Please correct me if I'm wrong -- it's been years since I've done a history merge. Many thanks in advance for your help. A Traintalk 15:59, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Anthony, thanks man. For my edification, was my proposed approach the right one? A Traintalk 20:46, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
Hey, you can't ask him any questions. My question is still pending up above, lol jk. =D WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 21:12, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Big Boat

Hello. Thanks for doing this move that I requested. Any thoughts on why it wouldn't let me do it myself? I thought that if there was a redirect that had no edit history, other than the creation of the redirect itself, it would let me move an article to that name. Mudwater (Talk) 23:33, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

  • @Mudwater: For a non-admin to be able to move page A to B, either there must be no edits at B; or only one edit, which is a redirect pointing to A. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 03:41, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
That makes sense. Thanks! Mudwater (Talk) 22:37, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Toy Story 4

Update on Mediation's current status.

Anthony, may I ask about the mediation's current status and what the planned steps ahead, are? Im fully aware that a mediation may take weeks or months to complete and that the mediation procedures may require a lot of time and patience and only a Mediator himself may end it. However may I ask where we are at the Mediation, if it is nearing to an end, and/or if I can secede from Wikipedia and take a small break from all this mess? Being involved in a dispute for months, for over half an year almost, with a stubborn editor such as DWB, has really tired me again. This is unfortunate because I could have preferred that I move to other articles and improve pages that really could need our attention instead of consuming whole months of my Wikipedic life to deal with such kind of disruptions. If there is more to the mediation, let me know and I will try be there. -- SILENTRESIDENT 12:17, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

You messed up!

You messed up big time! You said that you moved User talk:TimothyAxoy to User talk:Timo3/Archive 1 on WP:RFHM. You actually moved my user page, User:Timo3, to User talk:TimothyAxoy/Archive 1, and then moved it to User talk:Timo3/Archive 1. Please fix this erroneous page move. Here is how to fix it.

  1. Delete User:Timo3.
  2. Move User talk:Timo3/Archive 1 to User:Timo3.
  3. Delete User talk:Timo3/Archive 1.
  4. Move User talk:TimothyAxoy to User talk:Timo3/Archive 1.

Please make sure to follow these instructions exactly in order, and make sure that you are moving the correct pages. Thank you. Timo3 14:04, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

Please undelete Xenomachina User page

This morning I got an email saying that my user page "has been changed on 22 October 2016 by Hiatus95". I went to see what had been changed, but the page was deleted! Apparently you had deleted it for "Blatant misuse of Wikipedia as a web host", which I don't believe describes what I had on my user page.

I see that Hiatus95 is now marked as blocked (Vandalism-only account: clearly WP:NOTTHERE), so I suspect that Hiatus95 vandalized my user page, and then you deleted the entire page rather than just the vandalism edit, perhaps unaware that it had been recently vandalized.

Can my user page please be restored to its former state? Thanks. Xenomachina (talk) 17:28, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

Please undo speedily deleted Danielle_Berrin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danielle_Berrin

This in my view easily a notable subject, her article has major news coverage right now - including the owner of Haaretz, the leader of Israel's opposition, etc, launching a national debate in the country. Not sure how it has been speedily deleted, with no discussion, despite my comment, while was in the process of adding notable sources, including the top newspapers in Israel. Please can you undo the speedy deletion, so that the whole article doesn't have to be re-written, and at least open a standard deletion discussion if you disagree. Thanks! The article Guinea National Library and Archives has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Originally was one article on two separate institutions, each of which now has an article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:34, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

SRIT India

Hi, Full disclosure there is a COI with me and this page I had gone for vacation that is why I am asking about it now I just came today. You had deleted the page SRIT India Pvt.Ltd [3] recently and I believe it met the notability criteria. The page had out of date information and I requested an update for it on the talk page with the required citations which were missing on the live article. Because of the COI I did not directly edit the article I had only requested for changes on the talk page. Can you please have another look at it or email me a copy of this page as i was in the process of cleaning it up and it did not occur to me to keep a copy of the original article I only have a copy of my planned edits if its not to much trouble.I would like to request the article again but with the required citations to show the notability.--Tarun.joseph (talk) 05:15, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

  • @Tarun.joseph: Page SRIT India Pvt.Ltd. was speedy-delete-tagged by User:Light2021 for these reasons:
    • This article does not cite any sources. (November 2014)
    • This article contains content that is written like an advertisement. (August 2013)
    • A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (October 2016)
    • This article's factual accuracy is disputed. (October 2016)
    • The truthfulness of this article has been questioned. It is believed that some or all of its content may constitute a hoax. (October 2016)
    • This article reads like a news release, or is otherwise written in a promotional tone. (October 2016)
    • The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline. (October 2016)
    • This article needs additional citations for verification. (October 2016)
    • Some of this article's listed sources may not be reliable. (October 2016)
  • Thanks for the reply. The thing is the original article did not cite any sources but the edits that I requested on the talk page did and I have a close connection with the source but again I had requested changes on the talk page , all the content was verifiable and the only thing i believe we did not meet was would be the article has a promotional tone for which I could not figure out how to remove and was open for discussion. All I am saying is I don't believe it falls under speedy deletion the article can be easily cleaned up.--Tarun.joseph (talk) 05:34, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
  • @Tarun.joseph: The article, if restored, would be unlikely to survive AfD (= Wikipedia:Articles for deletion). See WP:NN. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:57, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
  • @Anthony Appleyard:That I believe,I just want to understand what the article is lacking for future reference. Thanks for your time--Tarun.joseph (talk) 06:11, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi! You recently deleted Maheshinte Prathikaaram: Original Score as WP:CSD#G7. The article was at Afd at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maheshinte Prathikaaram: Original Score which @MBisanz: closed later as delete.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Aa 09a nasasuit flagfound.jpg.
