This is a list of solar eclipses in the 8th century. During the period 701 to 800 there were 233 solar eclipses of which 77 were partial, 88 were annular (two non-central), 66 were total, and 2 were hybrids. The greatest number of eclipses in one year was five, in 734.[1] Dates are given using the Julian calendar.
