The London Conservatives are the part of the Conservative Party that operates in Greater London. The party's main competition is with the larger London Labour Party for office. They hold two of the eight London seats in the European Parliament, 27 of 73 London seats in the House of Commons and 9 of 25 seats in the London Assembly. The party controls 9 of 32 London boroughs, and won 612 out of the 1,851 Councillors in the 2014 local elections. The party held the Mayoralty of London from 2008 until losing to Labour in 2016.
