Speedy deletion nomination of Blooket
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Blooket requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. nearlyevil665 14:07, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Atlantic306 (talk) 01:11, 10 September 2022 (UTC)The article Dubuque Enterprise has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No credible claim of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:46, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- If the issue is lack of sources, can I have the process expedited as I could only find 3 and 2 were search pages? Marshmallo3535 (talk) 03:12, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- If you would like, I can draftify the article so that you can work on it without risk of it being deleted any time soon. But I agree with Red-tailed hawk here; the article needs a lot more sources, and isn't ready. It's conceivable that this newspaper is worthy of an article, but it probably would need to have had a fairly high readership, or otherwise be fairly influential. I hope this isn't too discouraging. If you'd like to work on coverage of newspapers, I highly suggest you work on an existing article on Dubuque newspapers before leaping into creating this one. And do let me know if you need help! Ovinus (talk) 17:57, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

- @Unar64P It redirects to the article so I removed it. I do not normally edit windstorm season articles so I was using the same protocol over on the Atlantic hurricane season's article. (E.g. Tropical Storm Gaston (2022)) Eva should have an article but it should also redirect to the season's article. Tete Des Morts Creek moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Tete Des Morts Creek, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:06, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from West Rutland School. We appreciate this, but unfortunately your edit was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. - Sumanuil. Good Day
can you explain me more why my GMT Token article is nothing in the text that makes it too notable compared to any other "infrastructure initiative".
Thank you Wequant (talk) 23:46, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Wequant, Nothing about it really stook out, it was a small paragraph with quite a bit of puffery. Defininetly try to got more citations. Looking through it again, you might want to fully spell out BTC and elaborate what a infrastructure initiative is.
- If you have anymore questions I will be glad to help. ✶Mitch199811✶ 23:53, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- i got you , but that was my first article on Wikipedia, If possible can you help me to publish my article Wequant (talk) 00:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- Looking up "GMT Token" I only see results from their main page (which shouldn't be cited as it is a primary source) and values of the token. You might have to drop the article. It does suck when this happens but don't get discouraged. I might also be wrong about my evaluations.
- I have been down this road before and you can see it in my archives. After that failure, I found a small stub article and improved it. That might be what you want to do. If you still want to continue with GMT Token, focus on getting citations and filling wp:GNG. ✶Mitch199811✶ 00:10, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Rollback granted
Hi Mitch199811. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). "Becoming better edior"
If somebody titles a discussion "Becoming better edior" and asks "How to become better editor?" and "How i can practice editing wouldn't i be just nuisance if i do that?", then I suggest that looking for grammar mistakes is not obviously something for which they're best suited. -- Hoary (talk) 23:03, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

Viriditoxin
Hi Mitch199811. Have you thought of doing a did-you-know for viriditoxin? Now I've added sections on structure and biosynthesis, it will meet the length requirements. - @Michael D. Turnbull I was but I couldn't come up with anything and at the time the article was too short. I was also a bit worried about the quid pro quo system. Use of rollback
As a reminder, rollback is only for anti-vandalism purposes. Using it to revert a good-faith edit like you did here is not appropriate and if repeated, will result in loss of that user right. Please adhere to policy and use a manual revert with an edit summary for all good-faith edits. Jasper Deng (talk) 07:17, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- I thought that number 5 gave permission as long as I explained to them what they should be doing. - The key word is widespread. Three edits to one page does not "widespread" make, not even close. Number 5 is applicable when the amount of edits involved is over at least a dozen or so pages (roughly), almost always much more than that.--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:11, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

- It still needs more independent, reliable sources. There are only two and a few paragraphs still have no sources. You definently should look at the comments that other volunteers gave you on the page.
- Other issues that I see are:
- The Rise to fame section is entirely unsourced and I feel like it is not needed.
- More wikilinks would be nice.
- Some headings seem unnecessary puffed up.
- Overall, I would read WP:BACKWARD. And also, look him up on Google (or whatever your search engine is) I found a few sources doing that. ✶Mitch199811✶ 00:04, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

Copyright and MEDRS concerns
Hi, Mitch199811; I hope by now you have had a chance to become familiar with WP:MEDRS, and the importance of using secondary sources when making medical claims on Wikipedia. This is discussed at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Viriditoxin, where another problem has surfaced.
In addition to the failure to attribute copy-pasted text mentioned at Viriditoxin, here is another sample of too-close paraphrasing at Mining in Dubuque:
- source: The Meskwaki (Fox) did well for themselves by trading chunks of lead ore to the French and English traders for things the Indians needed, such as guns and knives. The traders would take the ore, smelt it (melt it to remove impurities) and produce lead shot. (The small round pellets were used as ammunition for rifles.) Lead shot were then traded back to the Indians.
- article: The Meskwaki traded lead ore to French and English traders for items they wanted. The Europeans would then smelt the ore and make it into lead shot. The shots would then be traded back to the natives.
Please be sure to carefully read WP:PLAGIARISM, Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright, and also, WP:CWW. If you know of other articles where you have closely paraphrased or failed to attribute copied text, it would be good to work on cleaning it up. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:21, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- I am sorry if I screwed up with Viriditoxin but I read the section you claimed I copied and I don't see how it would cause issues. If I did copy it, it was subconsciously. ✶Mitch199811✶ 00:36, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- If you are unsure how anything mentioned so far is an issue, then please take the time to re-read and ask for clarification. Yes, many editors make mistakes occasionally, but it's important you understand how to avoid them, since I've now found three instances. I recommend re-reading all of those pages several times, and Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches might also help. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:41, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Can you link to the other articles with the issues you found? I might also try to avoid making major contributions to medical articles because after and during viriditoxin I should have recognized that I bit off too much. ✶Mitch199811✶ 01:12, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Medical topics are harder than most :) There were two instances of unattributed copy-paste in viriditoxin, and the third instance of too close paraphrasing at mining in Dubuque is explained above. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:46, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

- I have redone the sentence in the mining article. Notifying you in case you need to restrict versions. ✶Mitch199811✶ 15:47, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for that; I am not going to request WP:REVDEL, as the mining instance is more a problem of WP:CLOSEPARAPHRASING, which you have now corrected. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:10, 28 July 2023 (UTC)

Invitation
- Hello Quxyz, we need experienced volunteers.
- New Page Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles. We could use a few extra hands on deck if you think you can help.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; Wikipedia needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, it basically boils down to checking CSD, notability, and title). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us.
- If you would like to join the project and help out, please see the granting conditions. You can apply for the user-right HERE.
- If you have questions, please feel free to drop a message at the reviewer's discussion board.
- Cheers, and hope to see you around.

RFA2024 update: no longer accepting new proposals in phase I
Hey there! This is to let you know that phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship (RfA) review is now no longer accepting new proposals. Lots of proposals remain open for discussion, and the current round of review looks to be on a good track towards making significant progress towards improving RfA's structure and environment. I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given us their idea for change to make RfA better, and the same to everyone who has given the necessary feedback to improve those ideas. The following proposals remain open for discussion:
- Proposal 2, initiated by HouseBlaster, provides for the addition of a text box at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship reminding all editors of our policies and enforcement mechanisms around decorum.
- Proposals 3 and 3b, initiated by Barkeep49 and Usedtobecool, respectively, provide for trials of discussion-only periods at RfA. The first would add three extra discussion-only days to the beginning, while the second would convert the first two days to discussion-only.
- Proposal 5, initiated by SilkTork, provides for a trial of RfAs without threaded discussion in the voting sections.
- Proposals 6c and 6d, initiated by BilledMammal, provide for allowing users to be selected as provisional admins for a limited time through various concrete selection criteria and smaller-scale vetting.
- Proposal 7, initiated by Lee Vilenski, provides for the "General discussion" section being broken up with section headings.
- Proposal 9b, initiated by Reaper Eternal, provides for the requirement that allegations of policy violation be substantiated with appropriate links to where the alleged misconduct occured.
- Proposals 12c, 21, and 21b, initiated by City of Silver, Ritchie333, and HouseBlaster, respectively, provide for reducing the discretionary zone, which currently extends from 65% to 75%. The first would reduce it 65%–70%, the second would reduce it to 50%–66%, and the third would reduce it to 60%–70%.
- Proposal 13, initiated by Novem Lingaue, provides for periodic, privately balloted admin elections.
- Proposal 14, initiated by Kusma, provides for the creation of some minimum suffrage requirements to cast a vote.
- Proposals 16 and 16c, initiated by Thebiguglyalien and Soni, respectively, provide for community-based admin desysop procedures. 16 would desysop where consensus is established in favor at the administrators' noticeboard; 16c would allow a petition to force reconfirmation.
- Proposal 16e, initiated by BilledMammal, would extend the recall procedures of 16 to bureaucrats.
- Proposal 17, initiated by SchroCat, provides for "on-call" admins and 'crats to monitor RfAs for decorum.
- Proposal 18, initiated by theleekycauldron, provides for lowering the RfB target from 85% to 75%.
- Proposal 24, initiated by SportingFlyer, provides for a more robust alternate version of the optional candidate poll.
- Proposal 25, initiated by Femke, provides for the requirement that nominees be extended-confirmed in addition to their nominators.
- Proposal 27, initiated by WereSpielChequers, provides for the creation of a training course for admin hopefuls, as well as periodic retraining to keep admins from drifting out of sync with community norms.
- Proposal 28, initiated by HouseBlaster, tightens restrictions on multi-part questions.
To read proposals that were closed as unsuccessful, please see Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review/Phase I/Closed proposals. You are cordially invited once again to participate in the open discussions; when phase I ends, phase II will review the outcomes of trial proposals and refine the implementation details of other proposals. Another notification will be sent out when this phase begins, likely with the first successful close of a major proposal. Happy editing! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her), via:
