GA nomination limit

[edit]

Is there are any particular limit to the number of articles you can nominate to WP:GAN? The reason I asked is that I've done five GA reviews now (two pass, two fail, one currently on hold which will probably pass pending some image copyvio checks), which seem to be going well (a number of comments have been raised against each one, but I appear to have addressed them satisfactorily). But I haven't had any of my own articles reviewed yet, and I currently have three (Nord Stage, Ummagumma and Ian Gillan) sitting in the queue. There are others I'm mulling over nominating to GA status, since I've got hold of relevant books to be able to greatly expand the articles in question, and cite reliable references as I go. But I'd rather not nominate anything else until one of mine has got to the front of the queue (Nord Stage has been there for six weeks now). What could you suggest? --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:29, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there has been a lot of debates over how much nominations a single user may have, and those arose when several users breached the 20+ border. So you can nominate as much articles as you want. I may do you a favor and pick up Nord Stage for review when i finish my current review, so you can have another GA stamp hehe. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 16:33, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You do realize every "keep vote" except one(DGG) was a sockpuppet ?--Hu12 (talk) 16:56, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe, but either way there was no clear consensus on the article. DGG's comments were strong, and even as sockpuppets, they had several points. Anyways, no consensus means that you can renominate the article when you want' If you want, you can renominate it when you feel ready. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 17:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And actually, after reading the report, there is no clear evidence that they are sockpuppets yet. So wait until the report is finished to make such claims, because if false, they can be considered personal attacks. — ΛΧΣ21 17:07, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not that it's necessary, but I would endorse the close and would have pointed Hahc21 Hu12 to deletion review instead of back to AfD. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 19:19, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong name, sorry. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 19:29, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you are right, i should have pointed him at deletion review, but as i closed it as no consensus, i considered that deletion review was a little pointless. — ΛΧΣ21 22:38, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Could you also explain why you closed the discussion before 7 days had passed, as suggested in Wikipedia:Deletion_process? Dialectric (talk) 23:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, i closed the discussion just in time, in my opinion. I saw that, as i stated above, that discussion would go nowhere as far as I read and understood. A clear keep or delete outcome would have been very difficult to achieve and relisting the article would just have pointed the same result, no consensus. That the original nominator decided to re-nominate the article is out of my reach. I thought he would understand why i closed it and wait before going back to AFD as DGG pointed in the second nomination page. — ΛΧΣ21 23:13, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You closed it early as "no cosensus". Let me rephrase that. You "decided" to stop an active AfD discussion early preventing further input and others from contributing by claiming "no cosensus". Perhaps your unaware, but the purpose of deletion discussions to actually determine consensus. It is not your place to determine weather a "discussion would go nowhere", unless it had already went nowhere.--Hu12 (talk) 01:10, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I saw, the discussion had about a day with no further discussion. Also, "the purpose of deletion discussions to actually determine consensus" is not true. If that were true, then we shouldn't have the option of "no consensus". I understand your belief that the article should be deleted as failing to meet notability, but i found your reasoning for that, as well as the ones who were voting for delete, equally strong as those who voted for keeping it. If, in 7 days of discussion, and it was a very active discussion that melted down suddently, there was no clear outcome on wether to keep or delete the article, I considered that an additional 7 days were needless. As I pointed and DGG pointed, you should have also waited several days before renominating the article. As of what i've seen, you appear to have a very intense interest in getting that article deleted. I have no personal opinion on that matter, and i have no preference. For me, it's fine if it gets deleted or kept in the current AFD. — ΛΧΣ21 01:21, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, "The intent of the deletion process is to attempt to determine consensus " is true. In all respect, it was poor judgment based in personal presumption(above), rather than actual consensus, to stop an active AfD discussion prior to its initial seven-day period as "no consensus". Perhaps a more acceptable close in a relisted debate, but the misunderstanding of that distinction did prevent further input, others from contributing and the consensus building process to conclude. On a side note I took care of your sub-page request here--Hu12 (talk) 03:34, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I still do not completely agree with you but let just see how the ongoing AFD ends. You may have a point, it should have been better if i relisted the discussion instead of closing it, but nothing can be done now as we have the discussion opened again. I hope this time we receive more input as i will watchlist and keep an eye on that AFD. I wont comment since i'm an outsider on that discussion and just read and analyzed what was exposed by the voters before making the decision. On the side note, thanks for handling my deletion request, i'm not an admin after all :). Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 03:43, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since Hu12 publicly and unjustifiably refers to me as a sockpuppet I want to shortly describe my point of view:
When noticing the article on DVBViewer was nominated for deletion I decided to join the discussion, since in my opinion the application is definitely notable. I never participated in an AfD discussion before and found the atmosphere quite abrasive towards newcomers. Besides Hu12 I also found Dmitrij D. Czarkoff very biased towards deleting the article and therefore judging every source as not meeting notability requirements. All in all I found the discussion not very constructive and the final outcome of the first nomination seems to support my impression.
When I realised the second nomination directly after the first I was somehow surprised since I'm not too familiar with WP policies and didn't thought something like that would be possible. Honestly I think the second nomination is quite unnecessary at this time. There are no new arguments in the discussion yet (besides sockpuppet claims, one directly offending me). Therefore I didn't participate in the discussion up to now.
Can you guide me wether I should post my arguments (even if they are the same) again? Since from the impression I got so far the article could be nominated over and over again even if no reasonable discussion is taking place just to annoy everybody and to see who has greatest staying power. Resources

[edit]

Hey Hahc21! I've been meaning to tell you that I put up a resources pages for new and inexperienced on the WikiProject to show all the charts, certifications, and awards. Anyways, I have to apologize for not being active lately as I've been busy in real life and starting Monday I will be starting college again so I won't be as active until December. Erick (talk) 00:57, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found this. You might remember where we talked about the Mexican singles in the 1990s from a source for Inolvidable (song), but now I find it's published in a physical magazine called Epoca: semanario de México. Oh and sometime posted Media Forest on the talk page that contains Argentina charts. I'll go see if any reliable sources mentions it. Erick (talk) 23:59, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ghost of Sparta GA

[edit]

Thanks again. I'll be listing God of War: Betrayal soon. It's a smaller article in comparison to the others mainly for the fact that the game is much shorter and the platform is much smaller (the game itself is often overlooked). I'm unsure if it'll pass, but let's give it a go. --JDC808 03:24, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Answers to Test 2 (from MathewTownsend)

[edit]

1. What are the three main steps to do when you spot vandalism?

  • Revert to last unvandalised version.
  • Warn the vandal using an appropriate warning template for the level and type of vandalism.
  • Report vandals who to continue to vandalise after receiving a final warning to WP:AIV

2. What does the tools make? And how it was done before the tools existed? I didn't quite understand this question, so here's how I answered:

  • The tools give you a way to monitor a large volume of edits by showing you a list of diffs in a window so you can see if they are harmful. They show you the edits, give you options such as to revert or rollback give you edit summary options (some do). It's possible to follow vandals on IRC, but I won't do that. IRC is not under the supervision of WMF and it seems out of control.
  • The old way was to check the diff links on recent changes and revert if vandalised. This method (without the tools) is slower and the volume that it's possible to evaluate is much less.

Is this what you meant by your questions? If not, straighten me out! MathewTownsend (talk) 02:17, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great answers. Although, what did you not understood of that question? And, now that you've finished this test, you have to read WP:WARN. After you are done with it, come back to me. If you have any questions, please write me. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 02:23, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
well, I guess my understanding of the question was right, since you approve of the answers! ok, I'll read WP:WARN and report back to you. MathewTownsend (talk) 02:31, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I read WP:WARN but I'm a little confused - it seems to cover many things that aren't strictly vandalism. Should I be putting templates for all this different issues also? (I'll have to really study that page. There's a lot on it!) MathewTownsend (talk) 15:18, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Vandalism is a very broad topic. Most actions can be catalogued as vandalism, and actually all those templates exist to warn each type of behavior that results unproductive to the 'pedia. That's how I see it. More than just warning vandalism those templates can be used to warn a brad number of behaviors. Anyway, you just only focus yourself on the ones that are strictly related to vandalism, and avoid the others :) You will eventually see them in the future. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 00:35, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
ok. Should I get a tool, like download Huggle? MathewTownsend (talk) 00:04, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You may. I guess you may, as you have rollback feature. I would recommend using STiki, but Huggle is good as well. — ΛΧΣ21 00:48, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do remove your name, I'm not even sure why on Earth would you ask to be randomly selected to submit requests on articles undergoing disputes. I'm guessing it's because you want to be an admin, well here's a pointer: requesting for articles seeking for commentaries and not even commenting on the issue itself is just plain wrong. Jonatalk to me 17:30, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I do comment when I consider I can give a very interesting or helpful insight on the matter. I do not understand why do you come to my talk page and make such comments. I'm not interested in your opinion on why I asked to be randomly selected, it's just my personal business. So, please, if you don't have something helpful, any question, or some other point worth reading, I recommend you to not make comments on my talk page. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 17:43, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
These comments are based on all the articles this bot has selected for you on your talk page, currently. As I searched to see if you are acting responsibly, I see no such mention or word from you. So, why would you waste people's time who needs someone's comments to help defuse edit warring and such? If you are only going to comment on an article you like then just remove your name and choose one at the queue. Jonatalk to me 17:53, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2 reasons: First, people watchlisting my talk page may also see this notice and comment. Second, I have indeed commented several times, but that doesn't mean i'm bound to comment on every RFC that is put on my talk page. Also, i'm not wasting people's times who needs comments. If someone will comment, it will eventually happen, wether this notices is sent to me or not. They do not expect me to comment, and not every person that receives this notice comments. I have experienced that by myself. Another point, removing my name or leaving my name makes no difference. The bot will just stop writing this in my talk page and nothing will happen. I don't see why you have such a big problem by the fact that my name is in there and i'm not interested in giving some imput at those RFCs. — ΛΧΣ21 18:16, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GA Nomination: New Day

[edit]

Hi,

I've reviewed "New Day" and unfortunately there were quite a few changes. Whilst by article standards it was difficult to fault (good spelling, punctuation etc.) there are some serious content issues, structure issues and general subject matter issues. Effectively I think you've prematurely nominated the article and that uncessary information is included whilst significant information has been left out. As a result because the changes required are more than superficial i've failed the article. There's a detailed review at Talk:New Day (Alicia Keys song)/GA1. I would strongly enoucourage a re-write and then re-nomination. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 00:44, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you plan on doing the changes? If not I'd do them myself but I didn't wanna infringe if you want to GA it again. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:15, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but i don't know when. Well, you can make the changes if you want and then we can nominate it together. I have no problems with you editing the article :) It's not mine hehe :P — ΛΧΣ21 01:02, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Panda Bonanza.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Panda Bonanza.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Just helping out

[edit]

Hey Hahc21! I'm doing you a favor and looking for reviews for any Arjona albums and came across some especially for his older albums. Here's one for Quinto Piso. (NVM, you already have in the article and I didn't see it >_<) Here's a tip for getting an album FAC: Look for an album by Arjona that is either his best-selling or his most-well known work. At least three reviews should be sufficient for FAC. When I starting working for FAC, I was going to do Segundo Romance first instead of Romances, but I could only find two reviews and the coverage was minimal so that's why I did Romances instead. I'll be glad to help out of course especially for older albums. EDIT:Also found this article which contains US sales for two of Arjona's albums. Erick (talk) 05:26, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OMG Great! I will like to make all his albums to FA, but coverage has been scarse. Have you read how is Independiente (Ricardo Arjona album) now? Although it still won't reach FA status soon. The other problem may be that information on his past albums are very rare and difficult to find :( But i'll do my best :) — ΛΧΣ21 06:02, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. Right now I'm browsing through English-language news outlets and from the archives, these are the English-language sources I have found, some of them are pay-per-view, but hey it's a start. I'll go look again for reviews on Independiente. The Latin Grammy nominations will be announced late this month so there's a good chance that Arjona will receive at least one nomination. BTW, I have a confession to make, there is one song by Arjona I like and that is "Acompañame A Estar Solo". Erick (talk) 06:25, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OOh good news :) He always gets nominated but rarely wins lol hehe xD Good, i like that one. Well, i like Adentro, which is the album that contains that song :P I will check the link u sent me, and thanks for the other one with the sales :) I had no sales for 5to Piso in the US, only 1 million worldwide :) I have another issue, the mexican certifications page is still down u.u so I can't take RA discog to FL status :( — ΛΧΣ21 06:27, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's not down, but they removed certifications before 2011 for God knows why and the whole certification sites disappearing just when you were about to use them is really starting to get on my nerves. >_> Fortunately, the year-end charts still have certifications for albums up to 2005. Did the Argentine certification archives ever work or was it still confusing? Erick (talk) 06:40, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, those archives only had outdated certifications for two of his albums and then were somewhat useless. I'n really nervous too with the mexican certs site, it's weird. OOh, yes, the year end PDF has the certifications u.u how didn't I saw it before? Thanks! I have all those pdfs :) — ΛΧΣ21 16:36, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GA review and content dispute

[edit]

Hi, can I get a second opinion on something? I've started reviewing Blur (band) and almost immediately I've found myself in a content dispute. While I can't think of anybody who's article I've reviewed so far has agreed with everything I've said, my gut feeling is there might be a bit of tag-team ownership going on here, which gives me cause for concern. I'll carry on with the main review, but I'm worried that if the discussions so far are indicative of what's to come, I can see myself either holding it pending a second opinion, or quick-failing it due to being unstable (which, if we're arguing about what content to include, suggests it is). Can you offer any further advice? --Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:38, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am out now to some personal business today, but after I return home, I'd be glad to help you out on that review. Until then, just keep reviewing the article but don't pass/fail it until I or another experienced reviewer comes and gives you a hand. You may algo want to ask Grapple X or Jezhotwells for advice in case i'm not able soon. I would recommend Wizardman, but I don't know if he has enough time to help you out. You can hardly award yourself a barnstar, so I'm issuing it on behalf of the organisers. My problem is that I'm trying to get Talk:Arsenic/GA1 & Talk:Montpelier railway station/GA1 finished by Monday morning, but I stop then regardless. (I'm off to practise my Spanish, in Spain and Portugal). I'm happy to help out on the June-July GAN Review after my return. Pyrotec (talk) 10:56, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow hehe Yes, i can't award myself, Thanks :) Thanks for all your help :) — ΛΧΣ21 14:33, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

What to OSA and O/S mean? Probably should be spelled out when first mentioned with (OSA) and (O/S) for general reader. Thereafter use OSA and O/S. MathewTownsend (talk) 20:51, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Im a bit confused since i have some time without playing the game. I will spell out those contractions as soon as possible :) — ΛΧΣ21 03:19, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
O/S stans for Operating system. OSA has no revealed meaning, for what I can see. In the game, they just say OSA and nothing else. — ΛΧΣ21 14:47, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Accessing Billboard.biz

[edit]

I don't know if you know already or if I already told but I found way to access the Mexican Airplay chart on Billboard.biz without the need to archive it. On Billboard.biz, hover the cursor to the charts tab and select Archive. Then select Album Charts Archives (I know it says albums, but..). Mexico Airplay will be one of the charts so you can search for anything on it. Additionally, the singles chart archives contains some charts that you would normally not be allowed to see such as Latin Digital Songs. This is useful for songs that have not already ranked on the Latin Songs or any of its genre charts. I recommend that you archive the charts just in case Billboard takes it off. Erick (talk) 04:34, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe Thanks for the information. I've checked out. Although, i don't need any info by now hehe. I will see if I find anything useful :) — ΛΧΣ21 04:37, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

System Shock 2 FAC

[edit]

I did look over this article again today, and am still undecided about some things, but: my position is currently weak oppose, mostly based on the reception sourcing. I intend to post fuller comments in the next day or two (I've pretty much run out of time again today).

  • I gave my reasons for disliking those two sources already, and pretty much per Hahnchen I think they should be replaced by commentary from leading upmarket print sources Edge and Computer Gaming World, and probably more from PC Zone and PC Gamer (the commentary currently taken from them is pretty minimal). I think there's some scope for taking a deeper amount of material from the reviews generally, rather than just 1 line from each; that said, personally I do like conciseness, so that's not essential from my point of view at least. Oh and you've spelt "fabulous" as "fabolous" from the PC Zone review (I assume it's not that way in the source).
  • Well. I agree with you here. The point is that i'm not too good in prose, and if i rewrite the section, i will damage the prose level. I'd like to have someone helping me rewriting the section so that i can remove Game Revolution and Gaming Age and expand the other, more influential and reliable reviews in the article. If you give me a hand, i'd be very glad. — ΛΧΣ21 16:36, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, cool, I can help out as time allows. Although I can't make guarantees about any improvements being FAC-quality... i.e. I might improve the prose and the FAC reviewers might still not like it enough, but I can try :) bridies (talk) 16:05, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Other thoughts, which I'm still mulling over: the gameplay section can probably be streamlined just a bit. Maybe less detail/fewer examples of the weapons system; and maybe condensing the couple of mentions of RPG elements into one. I'm not 100% decided on this yet; will post at the FAC when I am.
  • I'm undecided about the prose at this point, I think it's mostly good, could be better (tbh, in generally I think there are limits to how engaging one can make gameplay descriptions and such).
  • Haven't had time to read the plot section as yet. bridies (talk) 16:32, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've found a PC Gamer preview you might find useful. Hope this helps. Electroguv (talk) 15:31, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hey, I guess maybe you can quote me stuff you'd like to go in the article, and I can try taking it from there. bridies (talk) 13:39, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Test 3

[edit]

Hi

I finished my Test 3. It's on my talk pages. (copied from my talk page)

  1. Why should new users be given level 1 warnings when possible?
Good faith should be assumed. The edit may be a test edit, an accident, or mistakes made through a lack of knowledge of how to edit wikipedia. New users need to be educated and encouraged to make helpful contributions. Also, a polite and informative warning may dissuade a vandalizing editor from making more vandal edits.
  2. What level(s), if vandalism persists after the warning, can cause a user be reported to AIV and blocked for disruptive editing for vandalizing above this warning(s)?
After the first warning, three more warnings of increasing sternness for additional vandal edits are issued, the level four one being a "final" warning that the user may be blocked without further warning if such edits continue. Any vandal edits after that can cause the user to be reported to AIV.
  3. What level warning(s) mention that an editor could be blocked?
Level three warns that "further disruptive editing or vandalism may lead to a block."
  4. A new user blanking sections.
Since blanking or removing part of an article's content (especially of a BLP) may be done in good faith, {{uw-test1}} or {{uw-delete1}} should be used if examination of the removed content determines the removal was unwarranted.
  5. Nonsense/Repeating characters.
Adding nonsense or repeating characters is considered "silly vandalism" and patent nonsense. Care must be taken not to bite the newcomers, as such edits may be inadvertent. Users should be warned by using a series of {{uw-test}} or {{uw-vandalism}} warning templates and reported as vandals if they continue.
  6. Replacing an article with obscenities.
This is considered vandalism and the series of {{uw-vandalism}} should be used.
  7. How should vandalism be reverted (without Rollback)?
The "undo" button can be used and the edit can be marked as minor. The article history can be examined for additional vandalism.
  8. Should section blanking-edits be reverted?
Not automatically, unless the reverting editor is extremely familiar with the article, is following it closely, and is confident the removed content is legitimate. Otherwise, the the removed content should be examined to see if it's legitimate and returned to the article if it is.
  9. Should test edits be reverted?
yes. They need to be removed as soon as possible.
  10. What is the difference between a test edit and vandalism?
A test edit is usually a good faith edit made by a new user unfamiliar with editing wikipedia. Vandalism is a deliberate attempt to harm wikipedia.

Hope the best of luck. Cheers! — ΛΧΣ21 15:39, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hope I did ok! MathewTownsend (talk) 18:09, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Great! As far as i can tell, all the answers are very very good :) 100%. In answer 7, you can also revert vandalism by activating the rollback gadget in My Preferences. It facilitates rollbacking vandalism when previewing the last 2 diffs on any article. — ΛΧΣ21 18:19, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • hey, thanks! Are there more tests? I don't see the rollback gadget in My Preferences. But I have rollback in Twinkle - is that the same? Also I was granted Rollback, I think.
  • I think we still have another lesson. Well, it is under the Gadgets tab in My Preferences, although you don't need it as you have rollback :) Although i use it sometimes while watching diffs comaprisons. — ΛΧΣ21 18:35, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • But I have a question on another subject that's bugging me now that I saw Suggestbot on your talkpage. Good Article Newsletter

[edit]

Hello, I was just looking at your post on the WikiProject Good Articles talk page about reviving the newsletter. I finished creating the October 2012 newsletter and is now just waiting to be delivered by a bot that I have sent in a request for in October. If you want to expand on it the newsletter is located here. I was thinking of doing the Reviewer of the Month thing like the editor before used to do but with school, it would be too hard for me to keep track of the best reviewers. I'm not saying you have to do it, but if you want to, you could help choose a ROM.--Dom497 (talk) 00:44, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, could you please take a look at the newsletter and give me some feedback about the reference section before I deliver it to users in October?--Dom497 (talk) 00:36, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hahc21. I'm leaving you this message because you have previously been involved as an adopter with Wikipedia's Adopt-a-user program. A clean-up of this program is currently underway, and as part of the process I am trying to find out who is and isn't still interested in remaining an adopter.

If you would prefer not to be part of the adoption program anymore, you need do nothing; when the overhaul of the project is completed your name will be removed from the list of active adopters. However, if you have current adoptees, an active adoption school or an interest in adopting in the near future, then please let us know by signing here.

If you want to remain in the project and can currently take on more adoptees, there is a serious backlog at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user; it would be enormously helpful if you could take on one or two of the users there. Please do keep an eye on the project for upcoming changes, we could use your opinions and your help! Yunshui  09:03, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Razr Nation/2012. Thanks for agreeing to stay on at Adopt-a-user. I've recently updated the list of adopters and I have included you, per your original comments on that page and your comments at User:Yunshui/Overhaul/Adopters staying on. You can see your new profile at the list of adopters. Why not update your profile with an image and maybe have another look at your description? You can also include a list of any adoptees you currently have. If you are also willing to mentor problematic users, possibly as part of a conditional unblock, please include "mentorship=yes" in your profile. Thanks again for all your help. WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)

[edit]

Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.

If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Thank-you. 13:26, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

[edit]

Hi Razr Nation/2012. I'm leaving you this message because you have previously been involved with Counter-Vandalism, and may still be. The Academy project has been restructured, placing responsibility for it on the trainers themselves and as part of the process I am trying to find out who is still interested in remaining as active trainers.

In future, there will be no clerking or coordination, so If you are still active and can respond to requests from students within around 48 hours, you need do nothing until a new student contacts you on your talk page. Nevertheless, if your status changes, please update your entry on the table of active trainers at the new WP:CVUA page. If you no longer have sufficient time to commit to the CV training project, that's fine, but please remove your name from the active list. While on your travels however, should you come across users who are having a hard time with their reverts, don't hesitate to send them a link to the CVUA. Thanks, and happy editing! Sorry for not replying earlier, been busy with college. It's going good. :) Anyways, I got Kww's permission to add acceptable charts on WP:CHARTS. Erick (talk) 21:01, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

U1 deletions

[edit]

Hey, I saw you had some U1 deletion requests and I deleted those pages. One of them had a talk page as well, User talk:Hahc21/sandbox/We Are Young. Would you like this deleted as well? (You probably would, but I didn't just want to go in and nuke it without asking). SpencerT♦C 02:29, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Thanks! I just moved the sources to the article's talk page at mainspace. Now you can delete it :) Thanks again for the advice :) — ΛΧΣ21 02:44, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
