Reporting an incident
Hi, Tito! I am here to seek help regarding a situation. For the last whole week, I have been noticing an IP address user who has been continuously and repetitively adding unsourced content to several Wikipedia articles related to the Indian television. And the IP address goes on changing every time with the article changes being same or similar. I reverted many of the changes and left a warning on the IP address user's talk page but today I notice there is an user account adding similar (rather, same) unsourced content repetitively to several Wiki articles. Going by the Wikipedia guidelines I see this as nothing but disruptive editing and vandalism. I am not sure how to proceed with this situation. If you allow me I can also provide you with necessary links and also the name of the user. But this user has been continuously spamming the articles and adding unsourced content, mostly "Tashagala Productions" or some producer name which is no doubt fictitious as no info exists on the web of a producer or person by that name. Even there is no production house called "Tashagala Productions". I really really need your help with this situation, and I will be looking forward to your reply. Thank you, Tito! --Tamravidhir (talk!) 06:03, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes please do provide the necessary links. If you want to provide confidential email, please send me an email.
BTW, how are you and how's your life these days? --Tito Dutta (talk) 06:09, 17 January 2017 (UTC)- That's great. Give me some time. I will provide you with the links asap.
And BTW, I am great. Thank you so much for asking! I didn't think you would still remember me. :P Presently I am studying Law. It's really really hectic, due to which I don't get much time at all to be active often on Wikipedia. I just keep on visiting occasionally. But life's good. I have moved to a new city, and the place and people are great. :D I hope you are doing great too. :D --Tamravidhir (talk!) 06:20, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- That's great. Give me some time. I will provide you with the links asap.
The Links
The following are the links to the various changes I was talking about, which I would rather call "disruptive edits" or "vandalism":
- Link #1
- Link #2
- Link #3
- Link #4
- Link #5
- Link #6
- Link #7
- Link #8
- Link #9
- Link #10
- Link #11
- Link #12
- Link #13
- Link #15
- Link #16
- Link #17
- Link #18
Phew! This is not the end. If you go to the individual contributions list there are many many more such changes.
If you go through these links, you can find the IP address users. Two of these links, one of them being link #18 also shows same changes made from a user account. And another interesting thing which I notice is that this person is changing the producer's name to "Daniel Amos" and "Lerato Moruti" in all these articles, following which there is another IP address user who edits the article after the first person edits and replaces "Lerato Moruti" with "Nitin Keni". I can provide you with the link of one such instance here.
I hope this helps. :) If you need any help further do ping me. I will be there. :D But these edits are really really disruptive and they are everywhere. Nothing less than an annoying spam, an annoying sham! --Tamravidhir (talk!) 11:56, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Ummm. Tito? The vandalism is still being continued continuously on several Wikipedia articles. Please guide. I would be looking forward to your reply. --Tamravidhir (talk!) 18:04, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
- Apologies for delay in reply. I have watchlisted these pages. Hopefully the SPI will help. --Tito Dutta (talk) 22:13, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Your edits to the page "Priyanka" and the actual references to some of the content
Hi Titodutta, I saw your edits for this page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priyanka). You've written two things:
1) This word is derived from the Sanskrit word Priyanker/Priyankar. 2) Priyankar is also used to describe the white variety of the 'Kantakari' flower (Sweta kantakari
I'm genuinely curious to know if there are credible references for this information. What books/texts you got this information from? I could not find anything on internet about this.

Humble Request to Restore Article Named "Akshay Bardapurkar"
Dear Sir, I am requesting you to restore the Wikipedia article page named "Akshay Bardapurkar". From my little knowledge, I think the person is eligible to be on Wikipedia. He has lot of news articles available on Google India news search. Blocked or banned users created his Wikipedia article & that was the reason for the deletion. His article link was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akshay_Bardapurkar .Because of banned users, this person is not able to get his Wikipedia page Live.

Speedy deletion nomination of Mahila Samity auditorium
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mahila Samity auditorium requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://en.banglapedia.org/index.php?title=Theatre_Stage. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Worldbruce (talk) 19:03, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- I don't remember exactly, but see the first revision history, most properly I took it from another Wikipedia article giving attribution WP:Copying within Wikipedia. I am unsure if the mentioned source is a mirror or something. --Tito Dutta (talk) 03:27, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- You received the automated speedy deletion notice, but the copyvio wasn't your fault. You spun Mahila Samity auditorium out of an article, Bailey Road, Dhaka that was a mass of copyright violations. Long-dormant Alvirahmankhan ripped off Banglapedia back in 2011. If you're unfamiliar with Banglapedia, it's definitely not a mirror of Wikipedia, but a 14-volume printed encyclopedia (also available online) first published in 2003 by a highly respected scholarly body in Bangladesh. Unfortunately it has been pilfered liberally for Wikipedia articles by people who don't know any better, or don't care. This one, at least, has been found and can be deleted. --Worldbruce (talk) 04:59, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- I am not saying that the Banglapedia article is a mirror. I am saying that I did not use that site to create an article. Yes, the article can be deleted. Regards. --Tito Dutta (talk) 05:20, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- I was thinking to delete it myself under G12 (and perhaps G7 too), but let another admin do it. Regards. --Tito Dutta (talk) 05:22, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
Capitalisation in 'Temple'
Thanks for your initiatives at TTT17. I have a question for you. Could you please guide me whether the page of a temple should have capital or small T. For example, there is a page located at Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Padmanabhaswamy temple redirects to it. I feel that it should have been the other way round. As of now most of such pages have capital T in the name while there are a handful of pages used small t as in Goan temple, Palitana temples, Bisaldeo temple, Ajmer Jain temple, Oondreswarar temple, Thiruvazhmarban temple, Kalugasalamoorthy temple, Kallazhagar temple etc.
I would be glad to know your views in this regard. DiptanshuTalk 14:35, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
I would also request inputs from Rjwilmsi. You have moved some of the pages to the capital T version. DiptanshuTalk 15:21, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Looks like there is no consistency, and we are using both of them. Perhaps you can inform WT:INB and get inputs from there. Regards. --Tito Dutta (talk) 18:16, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
