Regarding your question on my talk page, I have moved the page to Hudson Utility Coupe as you asked. As far as I can tell, you have the authority to rename a page (we call it "Moving" a page). To do so, locate the down arrow at the top of the page you would like to move, next to the links to Read and Edit the page. Hover over that arrow, and you should see a "Move" link. The picture to the right provides additional detail; this explanation assumes that you are using the default Vector skin. See also WP:MOVE.

The two B. Vance articles in Hudson Utility Coupe mentioned as being in LexisNexis/Academic Universe still need to be reliably-sourced, removing the dead Lexis-Nexis links won't be enough to bring up the References to WIkipedia standards. I am trying to get the information from someone who might have the actual original articles. Anyone with access to the LexisNexis database can look up the specific bibliographic information (especially publication name/place/page) on the two Hudson articles - "Hudson produced innovative light trucks"(September 14, 2000) and "A vehicle for gentlemen farmers:Ranchero was a pickup that was as luxurious as a car"(May 10, 2002). School question

Hiya! I think the good people over at WP:SPI might be misinterpreting some usernames that have popped up; could you take a glance at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Leslie81285 please, and perhaps lend some insight? Looks to me like there are class projects at GA Southern U (how do you differentiate your initials from Georgia State?) and students have signed up with their class numbers as part of their usernames, leading to an assumption of sock puppetry. On behalf of our vandal-fighting community, I'd like to apologize for this misfire; there are a remarkable number of pests who delight in abusing Wikipedia, and in this case your students, through no fault of yours or theirs, were mistaken for miscreants. As the admin who made these blocks, i would like to apologize personally for this incident, since it was my own "Jump the gun" response that caused this entire situation to occur in the first place. I equally believe that i owe you an explanation as to what caused this: I tend to monitor the list of new users trough an automatically updating javascript script that shows the last 10 users names is a box on the left side of my screen. Normally this shows the occasional inappropriate name that merely attacks other editors or subjects, or an occasional set of accounts that appears to be extremely similar (I tend to write those down for later examination)
In this case however, my entire script was filled with apparently related user names, and even more were appearing by the minute. Due to the amount and the creation speed i initially believed some automatic process was creating a lot of accounts for some reason. Long story cut short, i went into "Defense mode" (if i may refer to it as such), and blocked all the accounts on the suspicion that they were being created for malicious purposes.
In retrospect it is quite clear that i overreacted, and i hope that this hasn't caused irreparable damage to your intention to use Wikipedia as a class project. As jpgordon mentions above, class projects are always appreciated as history taught that the results are often excellent. Besides the advice to have a look at the Wikipedia:School and university projects page (it is an excellent place to find some general information on school projects), I would equally advice that your students mark their user and talk pages with some information that they belong to a school project. Editors who see that a new account is editing constructively may be able to offer some advice or assistance, or they may simply wish to relay feedback (Or compliments :) ) regarding the school project.
Regardless, i give you my best wishes for this project, and i sincerely hope that the unfortunate start will not set the tone for the rest of the project. If you, or your students would have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. You can also use the Help desk, the {{helpme}} template or the IRC chat channel for assistance. Other editors will be happy to offer some assistance, and it may be a good way to reduce the reaching load of this course a little bit.

 Done! I added licensing information and a fair use rationale for this image. These steps are important to keep the image from being deleted; for better or worse the Wikipedia community is very sensitive to non-free images and tends to delete them rapidly if they do not have fair use rationales. If you click "edit" on the file page you can see what I did; Template:Book cover fur and Template:Non-free book cover do basically all the work and you just have to fill in a few fields on the book cover template. I also added the image to the book's infobox. Thanks for adding the image; additional pictures is in my opinion one of Wikipedia's greatest needs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Need to create caption for Lives of Animals article

I've placed a photo of J.M.Coetzee on The Lives of Animals article, but cannot figure out how to create a caption. The caption needs to say: John Marks Coetzee is a Nobel Prize winner and a two-time winner of the Booker Award. Photo by Mariusz Kubik.

Need a higher education code

For interest, which page did you find? I was looking for an answer to your question, and was about to suggest Outreach:Education and WP:Assignments for student editors; but I agree, from not enough advice a year or two ago, there now seems to be rather a lot. JohnCD (talk) 15:10, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
JohnCD, the place I recommend pointing people to now if they are interested in Wikipedia assignments is Wikipedia:Training/For educators. That's where we've been focusing on consolidating as much of the basic getting started info as possible.
Georgiasouthernlynn, I'll assign you the instructor userright right now. Sorry about the confusing workflow involved with the instructor right request and the feedback. If you could elaborate a bit on why you ended up at the feedback page twice, that would be helpful; you're the first person to go through the training since we switched around the flow a little bit and integrated to rights request into the main body of the training. So any ideas about what flow would have made sense for you would be appreciated. The idea is to have the instructor leave their request for the instructor right before continuing on to the end of the training to leave feedback (and an indication that they completed it).

It looks like that IP has hit the limit for account creation in a 24 hour period (6 accounts per day per IP). You'll need someone (with the account creator right) to manually create the accounts, if it's important to have them today. If it's not critical to get them done immediately, I suggest having students either create them at home (if they are not still on the same IP) or spread them out over several days.

I just saw how good of an article Gone Girl (novel) is. I would suggest running it through a good article review. Writing a good article is a good way to get your work reviewed and polished by one other member of the community, and sometimes even substantial feedback! Terms of Use update

Hi Georgiasouthernlynn. Just as a quick heads up, the Terms of Use were changed on June 15 to require disclosure from anyone engaged in paid editing. There is room to move in regard to how this is done, as you can do so on the talk page, your user page, or in the edit summaries, but you are required to disclose the employer, client and affiliation. Isn't getting templated by the photo rights volunteers dreamy? One of my least enjoyable things about this place... Maybe the worst of all, actually...

Anyway, I have been in contact with User:Lmccullough in connection with the deletion debate over the WP biography about her, Laura McCullough. She is a poet and an English professor in NJ. I've been preaching the Wikipedia gospel to her and she seems interested in making contributions to poet biographies in the future. It is outside my normal area of subject interest, so I'm trying to find someone for her to communicate with. She's very busy with an immense workload and not able to start until fall, but I did want to see if I could hook her up with somebody in the Poetry Project and found your name. Would you be interested in getting in touch with her and helping her get going?
