* Tour de la Banque Royale → Old Royal Bank Building, Montreal. Two articles on the same building. User:MTLskyline tagged this a while back. I'll get to it asap, if one else does. As I mention on the Talk page, my preference will be to retain an English name for the article, given the history of the building in the old English "Saint James Street"-financial era. Requests for comment
Please add new requests to the top of the list.
- Talk:Canadian federal by-elections, 2008 - Can the Green Party of Canada, despite having never been elected to any provincial, federal or territorial legislature in Canada, be considered sufficiently major that the phrase "all three major parties" can be legitimately changed to "three of the four major parties" at this point? How is the phrase "major party" normally defined in such a context, if actually holding seats isn't the standard? Bearcat (talk) 02:24, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- A discussion regarding the layout of Subdivisions of Quebec, please comment at Template talk:Subdivisions of Quebec. --Qyd (talk) 16:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Canadian Federation of Students#Request for comments - I think propaganda is being added. GreenJoe 18:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia talk:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board/Style guide#Neighbourhoods - Can we establish a standard for the title of articles pertaining to neighbourhoods in Canada? Right now the practice is all over the map. Skeezix1000 (talk) 19:30, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Canadian order of precedence#RFC - Should the article include members of the Royal Family other than the Queen when no mention is made of these individuals in the Department of Canadian Heritage's Table of Canadian Precedence at http://www.pch.gc.ca/progs/cpsc-ccsp/pe/precedence_e.cfm ? Reggie Perrin (talk) 18:43, 3 March 2008 (UTC) But is at [1]. --G2bambino (talk) 19:45, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Brad Wall - Arbitrary removal of the sourced criticism section again. The previous iteration of this never spawned any real discussion about the dispute — can we please get a real consensus this time around whether the content in question is appropriate or not? Bearcat (talk) 23:52, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Pauline Marois - Is the number of washrooms in her "opulent" house relevant to an article about her? Bearcat (talk) 18:59, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Mackinac#Other and Mackinaw cloth (see the latter's talkpage).15:14, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Little Canada - maybe spurious, very PoV content.Skookum1 (talk) 15:14, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- List of reservoirs and dams in Canada. User:BlackTusk is adamant that this article should include natural dams, specifically The Barrier, a volcanic dam (he's into volcanoes). All other dam/reservoir lists are built out of articles about manmade structures only. Please see List of reservoirs and dams in Canada for the why and wherefore.Skookum1 (talk) 02:10, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Away from Her - An anon IP has repeatedly readded a highly inaccurate plot synopsis of this film, on the grounds that even a bad one that contains significantly more lies than truth about the film's plot is better than having nothing at all. Bearcat (talk) 17:39, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
These below are getting old now - anyone want to repromote for comment? Else can we remove? Franamax (talk) 05:11, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Rod Bruinooge - Dispute regarding Bruinooge's response to the Kelowna Accord. CJCurrie (talk) 05:32, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- There is nowhere to comment. Perhaps post to the other editor talk pages first. Franamax (talk) 07:19, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Marc Emery - Should Emery be described as a "former drug dealer" in the introductory paragraph? CJCurrie (talk) 05:28, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Ice road - Is there really a meaningful difference between ice roads and winter roads, or should the articles be merged? Bearcat (talk) 02:13, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Mark Steyn - is the article one-sided? Does it require more citations from sources critical of Steyn (see history) Reggie Perrin (talk) 03:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:Jim Karygiannis. Dispute as to recent statements by Karygiannis regarding Canada's decision to recognize the Republic of Macedonia. CJCurrie (talk) 02:48, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- The articles about the provinces; User:ArmchairVexillologistDon has been reworking the lead sentences of these articles to change (for example) "Ontario is a province..." to "Province of Ontario is a province...". The changes have been reverted by several editors, but as AVD is now threatening me for reverting him, I'm looking for other input. Thoughts? --Ckatzchatspy 09:30, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like AVD has given up on us. Can we take this one off the list? Franamax (talk) 07:32, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Template talk:Montreal landmarks I think there's consensus that this template has become far too big and it's time to create such templates as Template:Montreal festivals, etc. Is that the case? How do we go about doing that? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 22:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Talk:List of countries by percentage of population living in poverty#Canada. Dispute on the measurement of poverty threshold for Canada. StatCan's non-poverty LICO measure versus the Fraser Institute's basic needs poverty measure. This also impacts Template:Economy_of_Canada_table, and Poverty in Canada. Deet (talk) 22:13, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:Mark Carney needs attention for its non-neutral tone and its reliance on blogs as sources. Mark Carney is the incoming governor of the Bank of Canada. --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 19:57, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
