Cherry Ripe is a brand of chocolate bar currently manufactured by Cadbury Australia. Originally produced by the Australian confectionery manufacturer "MacRobertson's" in the early 1900s, it is now Australia's oldest chocolate bar and is in the top three chocolate bars brands sold in the country.[2] The bar contains cherries and coconut smothered in Cadbury's Old Gold dark chocolate.

History

Cherry Ripe was one of the products offered by Australian candy manufacturer MacRobertson, along with Old Gold Chocolate and Freddo Frog. It is now manufactured by Cadbury after MacRobertsons was acquired by Cadbury in 1967.[3] It would carry the MacRobertson brand until 2002.[3]
