Dredd Video Clip -> Here

Hey T to the Trizzle, I wanted to add a clip to the Dredd page to demonstrate the Slo-Mo effect including the color satuation and underlying theme of the people tkaing the drug because it makes the world more beautiful and such. I added a few clips to the talk page but noone is participating, was wondering if when you had time you could take a look at them, see what you think? If you've seen the film I could also use the ending slo-mo scene, I'm just not clear on how gory you can have a clip and while to me it isn't gory, I know that to others all that blood would be. I got a job so won't have as much free time and Id like to try and take it to FA as soon as Prometheus and Arkham City either pass or fail. Thanks for reading. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 21:21, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Happy new year to you too. I think a clip is important in this case because if you say slo-mo, you might think of Matrix style bullet time, but as far as I'm aware this is a unique film use of extreme slow motion, nature show style video capture with complete colour saturation and other effects and it is intended to (paraphrase) "make excessive violent appear beautiful". So I think it is a good case for Fair Use, IMO.Darkwarriorblake (talk) 14:04, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, tried to move CAp to see if I could do it, sometimes I seem to be able to move over a redirect and sometimes not. For some reason its adding Wikipedia to the start of it. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 22:37, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Can I ask for your informed input Talk:Dredd#Poll: value of crediting unnamed characters when you have a moment. uKer is causing me untold grief again over a non-issue because I undid his edit where he removed some of the cast because he doesn't believe they are important (He initially thought they were completely separate characters and oh god, the discussion has gone on and on) or he's alternatively argued they aren't explicitly named in the film even if they're named in the credits. He's trying to argue they are indiscriminate and I think they are far from it, they have names, they are in scenes involving main characters, they have dialog, they're not "Diner #1", the actors were fine for months until he decided he didnt know who they were. I mean Jaspet Sitwell doesn't do anything in Avengers, I didn't even know who he was, but I wouldn't try and argue against his inclusion.
Honestly he's just depressing me, do you get this many ignorant and unrelenting people on the articles you edit? I always seem to get them and its over such a minor issue that has no policy support that I can see but he just keeps coming back with another excuse to prolong it. I need to just go into full retirement I think. Can't take these people anymore. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 01:20, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year

I just spotted that you referred to this in an edit summary, and thought you may like to know that the guideline has been WP:BOLDly changed and any reference to the usage of protagonist and the like is no longer mentioned! The Hangover 2

Hi, I added a change to The Hangover 2 page. The name of an actor, Brody Stevens, appearing in the film was removed. I understand that the amount of screen time is limited. But, this is a prominant role in the film, widely discussed in the media. Stevens is also a well known comedian, so the performance almost works as a guest spot. Would it be more appropriate to add his name in a different section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christie Bell (talkcontribs) 13:48, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is determined by coverage in reliable sources. If his role was widely discussed in the media, please readd it back with the appropriate references.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:02, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Issue template

I'm not sure we need the issue template after every paragraph there, so I reverted it. If it's that much of an issue, maybe discuss it on the talk page? That many templates clutters the article. –TCN7JM 23:33, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Would you part me some time to explain what did you mean by "tabloid" while doing this revert? KP is a newspaper from Moldova. Gikü (talk) 23:47, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Komsomolskaya Pravda is a tabloid, not a reliable source.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 23:53, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So what RS should I search for to reference the info? That thing really happened and KP seems to be the only online resource to have it published. Gikü (talk) 00:13, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just because it happened, doesn't make it notable. If it were truly notable a RS would pick it up. Wikipedia is not a indiscriminate collection of information.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 02:14, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on Guardians of the Galaxy (film) .

While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and edit wars may be slow-moving, spanning weeks or months. Edit wars are not limited to 24 hours.

If you are unclear how to resolve a content dispute, please see dispute resolution. You are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus.

If you feel your edits might qualify as one of the small list of exceptions, please apply them with caution and ensure that anyone looking at your edits will come to the same conclusion. If you are uncertain, seek clarification before continuing. Quite a few editors have found themselves blocked for misunderstanding and/or misapplying these exceptions. Often times, requesting page protection or a sockppuppet investigation is a much better course of action.

Continued edit warring on Guardians of the Galaxy (film) or any other article may cause you to be blocked without further notice. Toddst1 (talk) 21:35, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the concern, my last edit was a self-revert and am seeking resolution through discussion. Cheers.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:39, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

unrelated thing but didn't want to create a new section, I noticed that the various MCU articles that are GA are not listed as part of a Good Series like the [of the Caribbean] films are, how do we do this? Darkwarriorblake (talk) 19:44, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:GT, all articles included in a good topic must be of Good Article-quality or higher. MCU is still growing with new articles, so I doubt it can be considered also it makes it difficult when people create articles like Iron Man's armor (film) and include it in this topic.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:10, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, nevermind then, thanks for the info. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 22:34, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually there is a three month grace period after the release of a new film, for example the James Bond films were left as a good topic while Skyfall was still developing. To get the MCU up to a good topic we would need to get the cast list up to FL, the main article up to GA, and the Marvel One-Shots page up to GA. I don't think we would have to include all the soundtracks and video games as long as we specify that the scope is the film series, although it would be nice to make those articles a bit better. -Fandraltastic (talk) 22:57, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Can we limit it to the feature films? I likewise foresee Marvel One-Shots being problematic.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:26, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think so, yeah. I just looked through all of the current and former film series good topics and it looks like they only included the feature films. -Fandraltastic (talk) 16:00, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Red Dawn box office gross

Hey look man you don't know this so I'll inform you. The gross on box office mojo is wrong. BOM basically contradicts their own box office gross and here's the proof please click on it and carefully check all the information on this link(http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=reddawn10.htm). As you can see in their foreign box office gross summary it has given the box office gross for many countries however it has stated that the foreign boxoffice gross is n/a. The actual worldwide box office gross came near $50 million when I added all the numbers manually. The site is contradicting itself. This is not the only example. Foreign gross and total gross of may movies has been show wrong on BOM. Some exaqmples are Dredd(2012), Bullet to the head, Man with the iron fists and Safe haven. I don't know why it has started doing this. It's basically contradicting it's own results. Therefore this source that you have used does not qualify as a reliable source since it itself cotradicts it's own information. So I ask you again not use it. Boxoffice.com is however a much more reliable website since they update their box office figures regularly and their numbers are backed up by TheNumbers.com. Please do not use Box office mojo on the article again. I'm not using boxoffice.com because I personally interpret it as a reliable source, but because other users have proved to me that box office gross for some movies on Box office mojo is incorrect and therefore it does not qualify as a reliable source. Thanks for uploading File:Psylocke-20050603013519041.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Jack the Giant Slayer

Hello again Triiiple Threat. You recently reverted my edits at the above films. I don't know what you mean by imprperly formatted refs. First of all that is no reason to revert my edits. Also when you said cannot verify I think you should know that both the sources are reputable news websites. Boxoffice.com's budgets are somewhat inaccurate. Only BOM mentions the budget to be $195 million while all other sources state it to be $200 million. Either the budget of BOM is inaccurate or the budget of all other sources is inaccurate. The latter is completely impossible. Either way the budget difference is very small. So I can't understand why you reverted my edits. KahnJohn27 (talk) 03:40, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you see anythinh wrong in formatting of sources then please correct it. Also using multiple sources is always much more acceptable than using a single source. Instead of straight away reverting your edits I've formatted the budget as $190 - $200 million since no website can accurately confirm the budget of a film. Thank you. Disney issues

Hello, TriiipleThreat. I'm here to ask you for your assistance in resolving a few matters in some Disney articles. Below, I've provided links to the respective talk pages where the two main contentions are being discussed and a brief description of the issue at hand.

A. Issue #1 - Whether or not Disney Enterprises, Inc. exists as its own functioning entity, operating as the parent of The Walt Disney Studios but simultaneously as an active subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.

B. Issue #2 - Whether the studios' distribution unit as a whole or one of that unit's specific film banners (e.g. Disney, Touchstone, etc.) should be identified as the distributor in the respective infobox parameter for all film releases.

I would greatly appreciate your input since neither discussion has gained any traction without there being disagreements and edit reversions erupting every now and then, hindering the chances of a consensus ever being reached. I'm also asking the same from other editors, in an effort to gather as much diverse opinions as possible, in the hopes of reaching a consensus that satisfies every editor's concern. Thank you, ~ Jedi94 (talk) 18:18, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am kinda annoyed at his edits. Even though I don't mind articles like Iron Man in film and Captain America in film existing. I do wish they could be their own words not obvious copying and pasting from other parts of Wikipedia. Hopefully it will be sometime. Still waiting for that Hulk in film. Jhenderson 777 18:13, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just redirected Thor in film and thinking about PRODing Captiain America in film. Iron Man in film, was an exception because of its length and number of films. But the other two are not necessary especially Thor in film. It seems he thinks that Iron Man in film greenlit they way for every XXXX in film.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:51, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yep that's my problem. Although Captain America does appear in quite a few films so I am not totally against it. Outside of that I think Hulk is the only one who needs it. He appeared in animated films the most and had three films along with a crossover cameo etc. At least three feature films should still be the extent. Jhenderson 777 20:35, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MCU continuity

Just curious. Does MCU have an official continuity thing going on with it. An MCU administrator on facebook is like we don't focus on video games on our page (yet the tv series counts in it) because they aren't official MCU continuity. Do you know anything about this? Jhenderson 777 22:37, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not to my knowledge, what we do have is RSs that say something is a part of it. In case of the video games, they are the ones that were marketed with the films, though Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is a stretch, and probably can be removed.-TriiipleThreat (talk) 10:58, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've never made an article for a publication before, but there seem to be a bunch of sources and interviews about this, even though it doesn't come out until October. Stuff like this and this. -Fandraltastic (talk) 03:13, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you think there are enough sources to atleast create a decent stub, then I think so. The book is already in production, so that should settle any WP:CRYSTAL concerns. And you can argue that you plan to expand, once it is released.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 07:44, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. -Fandraltastic (talk) 18:20, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Falcon in Cap 2

Here's the link. It's page 3 of the article: http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/06/18/captain-america-the-winter-solider-anthony-mackie-falcon/3/

"Over the decades in comics, the backstory of the Falcon has been revised and retooled but in the Marvel Studios universe he is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., making him a professional peer of Black Widow and Hawkeye although his sense of duty makes him less cynical and closer to the salute-the-flag sensibility of Rogers."

I changed the description in the beginning from "A Harlem native" to "A SHIELD agent." Hope that clears it up. Richiekim (talk) 15:30, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

episode article

How good do you think you can do on creating tv series episodes or digging up some sources for it? Jhenderson 777 20:20, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Depends, what do you have in mind?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:29, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure you ever watched it...but The Spectacular Spider-Man tv series was off to a good start with having good articles on almost all their episode articles. See here on how far it went. Although the user who was making those articles then got less active so we never had it done complete. It still feels incomplete that we got almost all the episodes of season one have their own article but not the rest of season one and definitely season two. Can we hopefully fix this? Jhenderson 777 20:44, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would try using the sources he used to find information for the remaining episodes. And try to emulate his style as much as possible.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:59, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh goodness. I agree. Although it does look hard by myself. Jhenderson 777 21:11, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't much about the show so I can't help much but remember there is WP:NORUSH. Work at your own pace, it'll get done eventually.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:37, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Infact you can start it in your own userspace until you are ready to take it live.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:40, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Personally it is one of my favorite superhero animated series. I am digging for sources on "Persona" right now. Some of those sources he used are dead now unfortunately so that doesn't help. Jhenderson 777 21:48, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Avengers TreCoolGuy

Look if you look on Marvel's The Avengers - Trailers, Videos, and Reviews ComingSoon.net Movie Database you will clearly see that Paramount is listed as one of the studios that helped make the film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TreCoolGuy (talkcontribs) 20:52, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes they are listed but did not work on the film. This is covered extensively in the article and the article's talk pages.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:57, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why cant we put Paramount in Avengers its on every website it promotes the film and got box office money from Avengers — Preceding unsigned comment added by TreCoolGuy (talkcontribs) 20:58, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disney is contractually obligated to list Paramount. Wikipedia has no such obligations. Paramount did not distribute the film, Disney did.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:01, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I began the GA review for Jack the Giant Slayer this morning. It went really well — he's articulate, passionate about directing and really down-to-earth. I can't really send a transcript since that'd be jumping the gun on publication, but I did ask him about themes as you suggested, and I'll stay in touch with you about that! --Tenebrae (talk) 21:17, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vin Diesel - FYI

Hey TT. Just wanted you to know, that I have just added into my sand box, here, sources about Marvel requesting a meeting with Vin Diesel, and him reacting to it/dancing around the question. Not sure if anything will be said later at their Comic Con panel (I'm going to try to watch the live blog, but don't know if I'll be available), so if anything is, I wanted you to know that I have those for sourcing. Feel free to go in there and grab them. At the moment, this info doesn't really fit anywhere until we know what role it is for and for what film. (Saw your revert on the MCU page, hence this post.) - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:42, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reference, lets wait to see what film if any he will be involved.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:38, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. Just wanted you to know they were there, to grab them quickly if you need them. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:44, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Evans

Evans has a deal with Marvel to do four films! Including Avengers 2 thats the last film he's in! So technically he's confirmed to be in the film.

Yes he has deal but Marvel does not have to execute that deal. They can still replace him or not use the character.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:07, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, again. Sorry to bother you, but another photo (more like a new set of photos) has been found and uploaded, and added to the choices in the discussion. Guardians in MCU cast table

Just thinking about this, and then I remembered Richiekim added this on ThorTDW page a little bit ago: [2] (1:37 in the video is the question, mention is at 2:14) Is this enough to go on for including del Toro in the table? Is it similar at all to how a set photo of Senator Stern was taken on the CapTWS set, confirming his involvement in the film, but the studio has not officially stated he was in the film? Or no rush? Wanted your thoughts, as this may solve our dilemma. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:37, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's right, he is in both. You can just the same ref in the Thor 2 article.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 23:45, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thor The Dark World poster

I noticed you uploaded the lastest poster with the caption "North American release poster". However this poster has a release date of October 30, which I'm assuming is the UK release date. The Entertainment Weekly poster has the NA release date. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/9757/pdvr.jpg Richiekim (talk) 16:37, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Someone else changed the caption. I did see the date, I'm waiting for a good NA poster without a watermark to show up and I'll switch it again. Also is it just me or has the cache on the article not refreshed yet?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:47, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Cache has not updated for me on my Mac, but the image is loading correctly when I go to the page on my iPhone. Also, have not found any NA posters without the watermark (as I'm sure you haven't either). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:34, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, dude! I didn't know it was you who made that edit at Cobie Smulders! If I had, my summary would have been friendlier and less cut-and-dry-just-the-facts-ma'am. You know how much I dig your work! --Tenebrae (talk) 20:30, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, its fine. The original edit was not mine. I removed it then self-reverted.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:52, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Has this page's cache updated for you yet? I'm still seeing the old poster. I tried purging the page the few times, as well as the image page, and had no luck. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:41, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can see it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 03:16, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Avengers 2 cast

How is he correct when the refs I gave clearly state that Jeremy Renner AND Scarlett Johannson will be in Avengers 2? Lady Lotus (talk) 13:44, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The quoted portions of the article that the author is referencing only mentions the characters, the rest is just the author's speculation.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:49, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
"Whedon shared that Scarlett Johansson’s character would be heavily featured in the follow up to ‘The Avengers’" ... "Natasha is a huge part of the sequel because you do want to concentrate on the people who don’t have their own franchises. Although she's in [‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, and] she’s great" - Joss Whedon.
He talks about her being in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which would be referring to Scarlett. I again don't see how this is just speculation? Lady Lotus (talk) 13:53, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
He is talking about the character "Natasha", only the author says Scarlett Johansson. He is making an assumption, though probably true.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:00, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Bah! If you were anyone else I'd continue to argue but I'll just wait patiently for a more solid source ;) Lady Lotus (talk) 14:09, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DC Cinematic Universe

Hey ;3

The reason I brought that topic back, as due to the recent information we currently have of the sequel to Man of Steel being developed, not to mention it's date of release with that including The Flash and The Justice League and apparently a Wonder Woman film, not to mention the Lobo film that's in development. There is vastly much more information than there was, due to the reason for the topic being closed was lack of information, but there is plenty of it than there was in June. --Bartallen2 (talk) 11:06, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is still only one released film, thus far which is what counts. As of now there is no film series much less a "universe". Also the entire article seems to be based on WP:SYNTHESIS of different published reports. Even the title qualifies as WP:Original research.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:16, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 • Discussion regarding the proper name of Age of Ultron, as seen here. (Will expand below).
 • Ant-Man was moved to the main space (as you must have known). I did some clean up, along with Richie, on the page, Ant-Man#Film and any other necessary pages. Worked to create the DYK with Fandral and Richie, which was discussed here and submitted here and then posted to the front page on 9/11 (as you must have known from the DYK template above this).
 • Users still tried validating moving Groot and Rocket around on the Guardians page. Tried to quell any further changes here. It got really bad with the whole Vin Diesel thing, but it seems to now be confirmed.

That's about it. Obviously minor stuff, usual IP edits, the norm. If you come across anything in your viewing that I missed let me know. Now for AoU. In the discussion I posted, it has been proposed that the "Marvel's" and the "The" be taken out of the title, and in the lead. I'm hesitant, but looking at Marvel's revamped site, here, they only list it as "Avengers: Age of Ultron". And third-party sources are all inconsistent, using with and without the "The" and with and without the "Marvel's". As comparison, on the Marvel site, The Avengers is listed as "Marvel's The Avengers". So far, the official press release is the only one that seems to officially use both. Let me know what you think, or chime in on that discussion.

Hiddleston picture

Hey, what do you think about me switching out the infobox pic with the one in his awards section? The one in the infobox his eyes are all squinty and the one in the awards section shows his face better. Yes? Lady Lotus (talk) 16:11, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say the current image is much more of a head shot but I'm not that particular so go for it, if you feel that that strongly about it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:00, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Lol ok thanks Lady Lotus (talk) 19:07, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Asgardia

Thanks -- I did some checking and was about to undo my edit, but then I saw that you'd already done it. Sorry about that; I really should've done my research before editing, but that really sounded like a mistake to me.— Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)

No problem.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:38, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hatnote vs in Lead - MCU

Just thinking about this, and if we decide to move all the hatnotes to the lead, what should the wording be? I was thinking that using "commonly called" for Thor DW and CapTWS would not really apply, because it's more a case of formerly known as. Would that wording work better, "formerly known as (name)" or maybe "formerly referred to as (name)"? Or can this wording be used in the hatnotes with either Hatnote or Redirect3? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:52, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would say 'commonly called' is accurate as it is still being referred to as such in publications and in the vernacular. The hatenote template would work but I don't know if it is better there or in the lead.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 22:39, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Hulk Avengers.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Hulk Avengers.jpg.

Pictures

Hey, so the reason I put the Hemsworth pic with short hair and took down the other one was because I was told that that was the point of putting up different pictures was to show them with different hairstyles at different angles and what not and to not put a bunch of pictures up that all look the same. Otherwise it would be considered "decoration" and I was told that's a no no. Same reason I added those pics on Hiddlestons page, different hair/angles and whatnot. Now you're saying to NOT to do that and do the opposite, well now I'm just confused lol Lady Lotus (talk) 13:53, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added the image back. The thing I was getting at was cramming images in where they do not necessarily fit. Yes it good to have a variety of looks, but its not meant to be a gallery of haircuts. We don't need to include an image every time an actor slightly changes his/her hairstyle.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:13, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with a lot added in the Marvel Comics and DC Comics section and am worried that it consists of many original research. I invite your opinion on the discussion page if you feel like it. Jhenderson 777 15:21, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mass protection

Hey Triiiple. I've been thinking about what I'm about to propose to you for a while, and wanted your opinion. (I also don't know if this is possible.) I'm been thinking of requesting indefinite semi-protection for all pages related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Is this a bit rash? For all the film pages, and even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. now, any IP edits have been vandalism, unconstructive, or against previously gained consensus or policies. As all of these pages are high profile, I just keep seeing this as a budding problem. If this is possible, would I have enough to back up my request? Thanks. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:14, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, as nice as that would be, it will never fly.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:31, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, I wasn't sure or if it had been done before. But it was a thought. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:58, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So, I got the idea and process started, by going to Mark Arsten, who has been very helpful and accommodating to me, here. As you may have seen, he semi-protected most of the pages for a month, and said to go back to him once those have been lifted if vandalism continues, and he will reevaluate, which may lead to the pages getting indefinites. So it's a step! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:35, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm concerned that after awhile someone will challenge the infinite protection and the ones that really need it like the MCU article will be unprotected.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:46, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well I will be sure to proceed and monitor cautiously, even bring it to multiple admins if I do. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:31, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually would it be possible to extend the protection for Thor: The Dark World since its about to be released and these pages are usually protected at release time anyway. Having it protected now through release would save us from having to go through it again later.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:10, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I had noticed that, and can approach Mark about that, stating that per trends on the other pages, once the protection goes down, someone will be requesting for it to be put up again. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:18, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
....and it has now been done. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:30, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MTV Geek

Did you see this post? It appears MTV Geek is no more. The MCU pages should be checked to make sure if any use articles from them, they have been archived, in case they remove the info from their servers. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:59, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch, that's why Im always saying to archive sources. Atleast it appears we still have MTV Splash Page.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:51, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Hobbit release dates in infobox
