Air Carninval is a proposed airline promoted by the CMC group, a Coimbatore based conglomerate. The airline expects to commence operations in April 2015 with the Coimbatore International Airport as the hub and connecting to major regional airports. The airline will initially start services with 2 ATR 72-500 aircraft and plans to add two more by the end of the year.[2] The airline obtained a no-objection certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in June 2014 for the southern region.[3]
