Uxbridge High School (UHS) is the only high school in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, United States. The school is a part of Uxbridge Public Schools. A new high school opened in 2012 at 300 Quaker Highway.
Academics
UHS give students the chance to progress in academics in all subject areas, especially the sciences. Introduction to Physics and Technology is one such a class that is normal to every Spartan's schedule.
UHS has recently received a grant to run more AP courses, giving every Uxbridge student the opportunity to take an AP course in their area of academic interest, or even as many as 4 AP courses junior and senior year. UHS also gives juniors who excel in English to take AP English at the senior level. Some AP programs, such as French, are even offered online. The ranking of Uxbridge High for AP classes was recognized within Worcester County[5]
Athletics
The Uxbridge High School mascot is the Spartan. UHS participates in the S.W.C.L. division, of athletics.[6] It is home to the following teams:

Extracurriculars, clubs, and organizations
NHS - Students in the National Honor Society at Uxbridge meet in the mornings and discuss NHS events and community service opportunities. Members graduate with honors.
Performing Arts - UHS Performing Arts includes three main subgroups: band, chorus, and drama. Students involved in performing arts usually participate in multiple instances of the after school performing arts program.
UHS Band includes the concert band, the pep band, the marching band, and the jazz band. All band members are required to attend rehearsals, pep band events, marching band events, competitions, and concerts. Elite members of the band participate in extra rehearsals to play in the jazz band.
UHS Chorus includes the concert chorus and the Spartones. Members of the Spartones must perform adequately at a Spartone audition to participate in the group.
UHS Drama annually performs a musical in March after months of intense rehearsal. Auditions are required for lead roles.
StuCo - UHS student council plans school events, organizes school fundraisers, and provides students with community service opportunities.
Yearbook Club - Students in the yearbook club gather photos, format pages, and add content to the yearbook.[8]
Demographics
Uxbridge High School contains 493 students and their age groups range from the year 9-12. Their education is in the middle, to higher proficiency: Math 74%, English 92% and Science 71%. Niche grades give information for newer citizens who are thinking about moving to the area and they give these families good ideas of how well that school is doing. They have a variety of races throughout this school such as:
