TruJet is an Indian regional airline based at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The first commercial flight was launched on 12 July 2015.[4]

History

The airline obtained a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Civil Aviation on 21 July 2014.[5] It adopted the brand name TruJet in February 2015.[6][7] TruJet has been established as a low-cost carrier providing connectivity between Tier-2 cities using ATR 72 aircraft.[8] It appeals to middle class travellers and pilgrims.[4] TruJet received its air operator's certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on 7 July 2015.[9] The airline commenced operations on 12 July with a flight from its Hyderabad hub to Tirupati.[10]
