VP script error

Thanks for the RfA question notice and the support! I've answered the question...hopefully I wasn't too wordy..;)

I had that same script error problem once too after I changed to a new computer, it just started happening. I cleared my IE cache, ran the script error tool on the AmiDaniel site, and I changed to Normal Feed...and it stopped...but I have no idea which one did it...or if it was a glitch with IE or the Wikipedia site. Did you see this info? I didn't have to try it, but mebbe it will help. There is more info here. Dreadstar 21:25, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Air Cadets

There are two articles because another editor, User:Quadra, split that article off with the intent of contracting the repeated material to summary style in the main article with a pointer to more detailed information in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Training article. There was a bit of a discussion here, but nothing more was done with the split article. I wouldn't mind dropping back to a single article. In fact, the material in the training article is a direct copy of a previous version of the original article, so there would be nothing to merge back in. Sancho 04:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I don't think a deletion is even needed. We could just do a trivial merge of the articles and create a redirect from the training article to the original. Sancho 05:03, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RCAirC long service medal undress.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image tagging for Image:RCAirC lord strathcona ribbon.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:RCAirC lord strathcona ribbon.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Personal copyright UserDreamafter.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Personal copyright UserDreamafter.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:58, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I have to agree with the IP here. If you're resetting the box because someone has blanked it or removed the instructions, that's one thing. But if you're resetting it immediately after every edit, that is inappropriate and needs to stop right away. Thanks, Metros 02:36, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Spelling of the suffix -paedia

My dear Dreamafter, I am certain that you meant well, but please allow an old teacher his idiosyncresy: It was my choice to spell the suffix in the archaic form on my user page and, as this is still an accepted practice, I wish it to remain thus. Image source problem with Image:Flight Cadets 1942.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Flight Cadets 1942.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:47, 8 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 13:47, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Battle of Gondar, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/F_BATTLE_OF_GONDAR.HTM. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 19:14, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Copyright problem: Battle of Gondar

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Battle of Gondar, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/F_BATTLE_OF_GONDAR.HTM, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Battle of Gondar and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Battle of Gondar with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Battle of Gondar.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Battle of Gondar/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Battle of Gondar saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Your rewrite was insufficient to avoid violation. Sorry.madman bum and angel 01:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

You have tagged this page as non-notable, in which case to be consistent you should tag all the Japanese Top League teams. (But please don't!!) This is not very helpful. The Top League is Japan's premier domestic rugby competition and notable as such. I agree the article needs further work but that's all.--Historian 23:08, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

AF

Thanks for the invite. I would assume that would be because you were losing so many editors? ;)

Anyway, I was wondering if you could drop me a note about the AF community on wikipedia-- who's the most involved, who replies the fastest, who is most likely to have the answers, etc. I'm sure you understand. Also, is there anything that really needs a lot of work? I've skimmed through most of the articles we have, and though most could obviously stand more details, we seem to have gotten the majority of the necessary articles, if not all of them. justice 02:17, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

I though Laptopdude was gone, due to school work? He stated so on his userpage and in the discuss page of the project. justice 15:20, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Personal copyright UserDreamafter.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Personal copyright UserDreamafter.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — madman bum and angel 04:14, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Flight_Corporal_RCACS.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Flight_Corporal_RCACS.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:32, 13 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 07:32, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry

Forgive me for being rude on the main talk page. I did not expect it to be taken that way. Sorry. Marlith T/C 16:13, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

I didn't know that, but

Other users have them, and they all link to this page. You should check it out and see who are the other violators. And not only that, there's this IP who has been messing around with the sandboxes. In the meantime, I will attempt to remove the You have new messages box. (Most of them are templates, anyway.) Goodshoped35110s 01:31, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Oh, and thanks for the signature, but I don't know how to program it.

I do not think it is working.

I tried it. One of the syntaxes got cut off, and, if I save, it comes out as unformatted text. See here: I get this: Invalid raw signature; check HTML tags. Do you have any idea? Goodshoped35110s 02:58, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

And one more thing. I think it may work if the links are built in like this: Goodshoped35110s 02:58, 14 October 2007 (UTC). Thanks!

I am trying a new, "fitting" version because the previous copy didn't work. Goodshoped35110s 03:10, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

I'll try with this one, but it needs color on it, thanks! And the other one did not work because one of the syntax got cut off, so, it ended up in a syntax programming code. Goodshoped35110s 03:14, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
It works now, although one is changed to blue because it would not fit with the syntax box. Goodshoepd35110s 03:18, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for all your help! Did you check the Poorleno link with the other users?

Your recent edits to my user page

Discuss first, before you edit my user pages. Show me the policy I am supposedly violating. I have discussed this with a number of administrators in the past and they have said there is no definite policy on the faking of the user interface on a user page. At worst, it is frowned upon. But most users manage to find a reason to smile about it. The last time someone removed the fake interface from my user page, they were blocked for their personal attack in the edit summary. I reported that user to an administrator and explained to him what that user was trying to do. The administrator blocked the user in question for his personal attack, but made no attempt to remove the fake interface again. Another user nominated the page that the fake interface links to for speedy deletion. Another administrator came along and removed the speedy deletion tag, pointing out to the other user that it was a user page and no attempt had been made to discuss it with me first. Again, this different administrator made no attempt to remove the fake interface from my user page. I would say that is pretty concrete evidence that they don't mind the faking of the user interface on a user page. In future, unless there is actual vandalism on a user page, discuss changing the page with the related user before editing it yourself. Thank you and have a nice day.--Just James T/C 03:57, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Before removing items from disambiguation pages it is best to click on those redlink and then click on "what links here" to see if other articles reference the same article. Per the manual of style red linked articles are approbriate for disambiguation pages. Also per Wikipedia:Red link, red links are OK. They should only be removed for topics that will never have articles, not ones that just don't yet. In fact red links can be helpful so multiple articles about the same person are not written since a uniform nameing convention has been adopted and hopefully an editor will find the red link instead of making one up, I know I've seen it several times doing assessment work. This is the entire reason the disambiguation page was created for Courtney, about four different Courtney's were referenced to the single Peter Courtney page, so those who were not the US politician were changed and the disambiguation page created. I hope that helps. Aboutmovies 20:33, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Regarding edits to your userpage

Hi. You may remember me with the fatal flaws over at my pages. You see, at first, I was trying that blue floating thing you had on your userpage, so I tried it, got a message telling me to take it down before someone getting me in trouble because, what the blue thing is annoying (although it does help in some way) that can get you in trouble in some way. Talk to User:GlassCobra. --Goodshoped35110s 03:21, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes, you're right, there's no policy against it. I was wrong to say that Goodshoped could get in trouble; however, those boxes are definitely pretty disruptive and make reading your page kind of tough. Yours isn't quite as audacious as his was, though. So, you're right, I guess nothing will really come from it, but maybe you could take yours down anyway as a courtesy to those who view your page. Also, could you perhaps be a bit more civil on my talk page from now on? GlassCobra 13:07, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

How Can I Avoid Conflict of Interest?

I am new to Wikipedia, and just need some direction as to how I can avoid any conflict of interest. You are listed in the Help section as someone to contact, so I hope that this is the right place to be! :)

I want to provide some information about the company I am with, which has had it's entire domain blacklisted for abuse by one of our members. I respect the policies and just want to find out what my options are for providing more information, or to find out if there actually are any options. It looks like the decision (found here) to blacklist our domain was made based on one member, while our author community actually consists of over 70,000 authors.

I am not sure if there any process for this, thus my request for help. From what I have researched and have read on the policies, I do know that there is a conflict of interest for appealing this on behalf of EzineArticles, but I would like help in determining any avenue that might help the authors that DO provide informative and factual content the option for their published works to be available.

Unlike the majority of other online author communities, we have a staff of Associate Editors that hand approve every article, as well as a team of Quality Control Specialists providing a "second set of eyes" to each article that is approved. We do understand that there are authors who are going to try and take advantage of the system, who will use their articles for spamming, or other unethical practices. However, we work hard to monitor this. We have a ZERO tolerance for members of our site that spam Wikipedia or any other website or service, and will investigate, terminate, and ban any member who abuses our Terms of Service.

If you have any insight for me as to how I might be able to address this without violating any policies or guidelines I would greatly appreciate it!

The other question that I have is about setting up my talk page in order to provide transparency. My contributions are not isolated to the above question, so I want to be sure to point out the connections to my company so that there is never any misunderstanding or question of intent. Again, ANY help you can provide, or direction on where to look for more information on all of this would be greatly appreciated!

Need comment on excessive tagging

Hey, I noticed a user that tags about 300+ pages a day (literally) with typically "needs citations/sources," etc. This person isn't a bot. Something about this irks me. Adding tags to pages really doesn't get people to suddenly edit them. The article should be allowed to evolve without adding ugly tags. At this user's rate, I'm afraid 95% of the articles on Wikipedia will soon have a citations tag. What's your view on this? - Cyborg Ninja 16:01, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

I found you on some community page here where editors suggest help for other editors. I don't remember the exact page, but you should remember since you posted your name there recently. I don't know what to do with the above user. Their name is Mattisse. He or she has caused other problems here and doesn't appear to be who they say they are (claims to be a grandmother and psychologist, but edits Wikipedia ALL DAY?) Check out their contributions. Also check out the copyvio entries for October 20th, where they nominated their own articles as some kind of retaliation against a bot. It's just... weird. - Cyborg Ninja 02:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use on Tom and Jerry template

The image that you added on the template does have a fair use rationale for the article Tom and Jerry but it does not have fair use rationales for every article that uses it. A separate fair use rationale for each article must be on the image description. See this. The images can also be used only in articles, not on templates. See Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. Just wanted to explain why I removed the image. P.Haney 01:55, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ontario school of communication skilss, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ontario school of communication skilss is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Ontario school of communication skilss, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. After reviewing what the member adoption program is for, I'm not quite sure if it is meant for people like me, who only really want someone to double check to, say, see if they edited a picture right to fit fair use rationalles, or to ask about various policies. --The Listener 20:24, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcoming

Hey, i think you copy-pasted the Welcomeg template to Bam9193's user talk. This adds the user to the category Welcome Templates. I've fixed that instance and, for future reference, user talk templates are added using the syntax {{subst:''template name''}} (in this case {{subst:welcomeg}}, as described in the instructions on the template page). Thanks, CaNNoNFoDDaTalk 23:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Kittyloves adoption details

Thank you so much for offering to adopt me!!! I don't know how to upload pictures, and would love your help with that. Secondly, I would really like to learn how to change the color of my signiture. Also, I would like to know how to become an administrator. By the way, why and how does the wiki jigsaw change when i'm on your page.

I would like to know haw to do that with the jigsaw. Also i would like to know if you have to type in all the formatting all the time, ofr if you can somehow set your username to do that automaticly. If so, how? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kittyloves (talkcontribs) 20:22, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I feel so hopeless. I tried, but i can't figure it out. Do you think you can post exactly what i would put in if i wanted light green edwardian script that linked to my talk page. i believe if you put one tilde after it it will show up how it would be tiped out and i can just erase the tilde.

Kitty 21:00, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry about the tildes. Thank you for the signiture, but it's not working. This is what it does:

Re: Contest Department at WP:MILHIST

It's somewhat short on details, in my view; there's no context (what campaign was this part of? how did the armies wind up in Gondar? what were they attempting to do? etc.) and little tactical detail (what units were present? how did they maneuver? etc.). A reader not already familiar with the episode winds up getting only a very rough picture when reading the current article. Kirill 01:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Question about editing

Hi,

I am trying to post links to a site that has bios and information about a bunch of artists, but my posts keep getting removed. For example I posted a link to Magritte's sketch "Untitled (pipe)" [3] and bio under the 'see also' section of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Treachery_Of_Images

do you know how i can edit without being removed?

thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jkcollection (talkcontribs) 20:21, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Explanation for reverting external links

Hi, I've left a message on User talk:Jkcollection [[4]]. Two separate editors and an IP address have been adding www.collectionnewyork.com links to various visual arts articles. The site looks very like an art dealer to me. OK, no prices are given, but the request to email for more information kind of gives it away in my view. On it's own I wouldn't have looked twice at The Treachery of Images external link, except for the fact that similar links have been appearing on other articles.--Ethicoaestheticist 20:38, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Exactly, its not my understanding.--Vintagekits 18:55, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I've read through the mediation. People made their initial arguments, and you said on Domer48's talk page discussion would take place based on those arguments. Where's the discussion based on that? There hasn't been any. One Night In Hackney303 18:57, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Please show me where the promised discussion took place, none of those pages show any discussion after the date in question. One Night In Hackney303 19:05, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Domer48 said "Are the arguments presented going to be discussed?" on 21 September. You said "We will of course be having the discussion at length" on 4 October. Where is the subsequent discussion? One Night In Hackney303 19:24, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

A very good question One Night In Hackney303, just seen the article. What is happening? --Domer48 19:27, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

What is Tag & Assess MMVII? We'd better explain. A month or so back, we ran a script to list all the articles in categories related to military history. This gave us about 165,000 articles. Some of these are already tagged and assessed as military history; some are military history but not yet tagged and assessed; some are not military history articles at all. This huge project — working thorough 165,000 articles — is called Tag & Assess 2007. To make it manageable, the list has been broken down into 330 ranges each of 500 articles. This is where you can help.

Just... adopt-a-range from the available worklists then keep track of your tally on participants' list. The tagging is easy, just follow the simple instructions. Afterwards, as our way of thanking you, you'll be presented with service awards and barnstars based on the number of articles you process. Remember... the ranges are broken down into sub-sections of ten articles, so you work through them at twenty or thirty articles a day if you wish. To make Tag & Assess 2007 a success, we need your help. Please sign up now. Thanks.

Yes, I will yell at you. What you did was vandalism.

To start with. it is my user page. It should be treated like a discussion page, you wouldn't edit someone's message if it contained a misspelled word. It is also unique to a specific user who set up an account, and therefore is special to that single user. The user can do what he or she wishes as long as it follows Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines.

Likewise, look at how I initially spelled the word: "wikipod." A huge difference from "Wikipedia." It is an intentional typographical error, based upon the idea that people who have Wikipedia accounts come from pods.

So don't edit my user page.

As an afterthought, how did you even find my user page? Are you looking to get awards for the most edits, and are artificially inflating your contributions by editing people's user pages? That sounds really cheap. Rebelyell2006 21:09, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Pipe major.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Pipe major.jpg.

Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:41, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Nichola Goddard.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Nichola Goddard.png.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:13, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

RBot

First of all, it's an AWB bot, all the things you need to run the bot can be done with AWB, so it's not under my control if you clone it or not. However, substing is not a super important task. In fact, it doesn't almost absolutely nothing to the server load if left for a few days. So, I don't really think a clone is needed. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@ 22:39, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: ^demonBot2

There's nothing to clone really, it's just an AWB-powered bot that I feed regular expressions to that I write as I need to. ^demon[omg plz] 20:35, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Reply

Well, that's just what I have to work on. I can't seem to find a Python script that would do the trick; I imagine AWB would work, but it won't let me login there because I haven't been granted access to that (or have bot status granted).   jj137 (Talk) 23:31, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

OK, I've now done that. Do I have to wait until my bot is approved before I get "bot status"? (That way I can actually use the bot tasks on AWB and not just the ones for the normal user.)   jj137 (Talk) 23:41, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

VOA II bot cloning

I wouldn't recommend it at this point. I have observed too much disruption from this bot with false positives, reverting valid edits and restoring vandalism, improper warnings, etc. (Just look at the talk page.) The only thing in its favor is that the developer is actively improving it, so I expect it will eventually become an excellent bot. But not now. I suggest waiting before cloning it and unleashing yet another tendentious bot on Wikipedia. Just my opinion. -Amatulic 22:58, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: WPMILHIST Banner for talk pages

Well, the part that controls the link is the category= parameter here:

{{{{WPArtemis Fowl/Class|{{{class}}}}}-Class|category=Category:{{WPArtemis Fowl/Class|{{{class}}}}}-Class military history articles}}

If you want to link to somewhere other than the categories—and I'm not sure whether that would really be worthwhile, given where all the other banners link—you'd need to do a #switch: statement and generate that line for each class individually. Kirill 02:48, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't mind doing it so long as you can give me a complete list of where each class needs to link. Kirill 02:55, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Ok, done. Kirill 03:13, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

ArbCom questions

Hi. I'm Ral315, editor of the Wikipedia Signpost. We're interviewing all ArbCom candidates for an article next week, and your response is requested.

  1. What positions do you hold (adminship, arbitration, mediation, etc.)?
  2. Why are you running for the Arbitration Committee?

Spelling
