nick studio 10
troy Doherty announced on ask.fm/troyd96 that nick studio 10 was cancelled and mrschimpf said its not good enough when troy Doherty send people from his official twitter page to there so that makes it official — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kittychew (talk • contribs) 03:21, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Kittychew, and thanks for dropping by again in regards to Nick Studio 10.
- Source: Troy Doherty did not announce that the show was cancelled, how could he, after all he is only one of the hosts and has little if any executive influence, all he said was
Yeah, I'm pretty sure [it was cancelled].
, and we are not going to use this as a source for the show being cancelled. Read WP:IRS or just take my word or the word of Mrschimpf for it. - Drop it: Kitty, Troy Doherty in a way says what I have said before: as the show has not aired since September, yeah, it's more or less obvious that they cancelled it. But we do not have a source that says so. So you have to settle for a wording that lets the reader read between the lines. How can I help you understand this? Now your IP address has been blocked. You should heed the many warnings you have been given and stop edit warring over this little detail.
- If you think I can help you getting started with editing other articles than Nick Studio 10, let me know, and I will help you the best I can. Why not start taking the tour over at The Wikipedia Adventure? Best, Sam Sailor Sing 11:13, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Sorry for the late response, but I want to tell about this case. Talking with another users, this article ia a some "all-in-one" person, a mixture of real facts and hoax or unreal facts. It's true about the "José Cordero Sánchez" as the president of Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela, but the other dubious facts are almost or totally a hoax from July 2012 es:José Rafael Cordero Sánchez. In the deleted versions, this person was described as TV host, actor or fashion model. In Spanish Wikipedia was created with different names (more or less similar), and the editors maybe are the same (maybe using sockpuppets). And this was the report. --Taichi (talk) 22:00, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Kaleido
I did read the talk page, but I obviously misunderstood. What are you suggesting I do? The current version seems to be the worst of all worlds, but I won't delete it until I'm clear what you intend. Are you suggesting that the Brazilian band is reinstated if it meets the notability criteria? Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:48, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- @Jimfbleak: The Kaleido article we had on a Brazilian act was if memory serves pretty poorly sourced, but that does not meen that it should accidently be zapped because it was hijacked and (I suppose) was deleted at The Wrong Version, should it? The version we have now on that Detroit band has been submitted to AfC, if it gets into main space, and if the Brazilian band article is not AfD'ed before, we could always disambiguate. Your thoughts? Best, Sam Sailor Sing 19:56, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- I see we are back in Brazil now. The new (old?) article is unreferenced and makes no claim of notability. I would normally have speedied it, but in view of our discussions I've AfDed instead. Let me know if that is problematic Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:08, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- Jim, I went hunting in the jungle of sources, but have returned empty handed to the gates of Wikipedia. NawlinWiki grapped the right bottle in the doctor's bag when they reached for the one labled A7. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 14:07, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

JMS merger with providence
Sam: Can we undo the merger between JMS and Providence? As I see it there is no concensus at all for the current article and too much info has been lost from the talk page. Can you rollback /undo / revert (I am not sure what the right term is) the change? Best.MrTownCar (talk) 17:32, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- @MrTownCar: Well, Richwales's copy of talk page discussions is a good attempt to make up for one of the mistakes, but this merger has been a bit bolder than suggested in WP:MERGING. If you think it would make more sense to merge the other way to Jung Myung Seok, continue the late discussion on Talk:Providence (religious movement)#After Merging the two articles. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 18:23, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- thanks for response. I am not sure what the right answer is at this point with Richwales efforts in place. I suppose we can continue to work on the existing article and try to add new sources that are appropriate.MrTownCar (talk) 18:44, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

dont quit youngistaan
why is this page being deleted? it is an upcoming bollywood movie and enough references have also been cited.Kindly go through the references before deleting it.The shooting is almost complete and songs recording is underway..thankyou... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samshersinghbeniyaaz (talk • contribs) 08:11, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- Samshersinghbeniyaaz, I'm sorry that it can be hard to figure out in the beginning what to write about on Wikipedia, but had you followed the link to Wikipedia:Your first article you would have gotten good input. Articles about future events and products are very often deleted one way or the other. The film you wrote about, Don't Quit Youngistaan, had three references, one of them was circular, i.e. should be removed, the two other if my memory serves me well, were both from the webpage of the production company. You could ask the deleting admin RHaworth to WP:USERFY the article, and if I was you I would send it to WP:AFC instead of moving it directly to article space, and likely not before the film has been released and more sources hopefully exist. Swatantra Sarode Page deletion
Swatantra Sarode
This page should be completely deleted. Why when we type the subject name on Google this article appears? It is like an insult to the subject that his page is deleted. My point is that it should be totally deleted and not appear when we search in Google or wikipedia.

Concerning the Providence (Religious Movement article), could you help me to understand why the new translated quotes from third party news articles continually get removed from the wikipedia article? - Your response didn't really address the question mentioned above. You and two previously involved admins suggested I post the issue to WP:ANI so I have done so. I hope that you'll lend your opinion so that we can come to a consensus on this matter. Thanks Macauthor (talk) 12:00, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
- I can understand you, but it's not really helpful for content discussions when you toss accusations around about my editing being contentious and violating WP:NPOV, matters I asked you to address in a wider forum. I will reply on ANI in a moment. I have quickly read your posts on the article talk page. You will please accept that I will answer those issues tomorrow at the earliest due to commitments IRL and pending the ANI discussion. Sam Sailor Sing 13:28, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Moved ... without leaving a redirect
I'm not sure if it is - why? I normally don't leave a redirect in cases where it is just capitalisation, because it's not something I'd expect a reader to search on. Deb (talk) 12:42, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- I agree, Deb. But the reason I asked was, I don't know how to not leave a redirect, and thought it might have to do with you having the tools, me not. That is how I understand the suppressredirect flag on WP:RIGHTS. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 12:46, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oh - well, I can't see what the page looks like for you unless I log off, but for me it's just a question of not ticking the redirect box (ticking is the default). Deb (talk) 12:48, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Fly Me To The Moon
You helped to tidy up some edits to Fly Me To The Moon. Today with nothing better to do I went through the article testing links and found that the links for two citations (references 26 and 28) to Billboard publications were not going to the right place. I have fixed them so they now go to the right page but the way I did the first one is a bit messy. I would appreciate any tidy up that you could do. Reference 26 should be going to Billboard, 16 March 1963, page 66 Reference 28 should go to Billboard, 23 February, page 28Panthus (talk) 08:45, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Panthus. Fixed one, have a look. Check out Wikipedia citation tool for Google Books, does all the work for you. As Billboard is a journal, I changed "cite book" to "cite journal". Best, Sam Sailor Sing 09:13, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
Altered speedy deletion rationale: Jason Brenneman
Hello Sam Sailor, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I deleted Jason Brenneman, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided. The speedy deletion criteria are extremely narrow and specific, and the process is more effective if the correct criterion is used. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Olaf Davis (talk) 17:10, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Olaf, article had enough context,
"Jason Brenneman is an ameriacn"
, to identify the subject, and was thus not an A1. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 17:35, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm. I don't believe that 'is an american' is enough to identify the subject - it seems of no more significance than the example given at WP:A1 which is "He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh." I certainly don't think it was an A3 since it definitely had some content. But since we both agree it should've been deleted and now it has been, there's probably not much point arguing either case. Olaf Davis (talk) 18:44, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- I agree. And it was maybe more of an A7. It's gone, we move on. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 18:47, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
ShopYourWay
Sam: Just a note questioning the addition of ShopYourWay to the Social Networking site page? It seems like it's an e-commerce site and not a social networking? I see no social networking aspect to the page itself.
Also the Wikipedia page for the site is being CSDd. Please review this addition. Thanks for your time. Regards, --Manway 16:46, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- You're right, Manway, I was much too naïve there in trusting the edit request and the info on ShopYourWay. Lesson learned! Thanks! Best, Sam Sailor Sing 16:54, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
RJ Parker publications removal of upcoming books
I would like to understand why the upcoming books keep getting removed? There are numerous actors/actresses/writers on Wikipedia with upcoming films and books scheduled to be released. JK Rowling and Angelina Jolie are among two of them.
These books that are removed are available for pre-sale, meaning they are going to be released. This isn't anything other then giving the viewer the most current information at the time of writing. If you could help me understand the reasoning behind this, I would appreciate it.
Additionally, you re-inserted a template about linking to other articles, but I did as much as possible. There simply aren't any other articles in Wikipedia to link this subject too. I removed the template for that reason before, if you could help me understand why it is back, I would appreciate that, as well.
Jasonwilczak (talk) 17:20, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have linked to multiple other articles, not least A&E and The Killer Speaks were relevant. Not that I think it confers notability in any wider sense.
- When J. K. Rowling announces she is writing a new book or when word gets out Angelina Jolie is to star in an upcomming film, the press will mention it. If we any coverage in reliable sources that are independant of the subject, we can write about it. I have not found anything regarding Parker's upcomming books. That is why they were removed per WP:PROMO. As were the long descriptions on his previous publications. We are an encyclopedia, not a mirror of Amazon or a publisher's website.
- The article as it stands now, this diff, is weak when it comes to sources. Question is if it meets WP:AUTHOR. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 18:43, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- I appreciate the effort you put in to adding the extra links. Additionally, I understand the removal of the lengthy book text. I was actually planning on doing that today, so I do appreciate that.
- As for upcoming books, not every author will get press release, so I can understand that point, but some of them have ISBNs which are a reliable secondary source, no? For example Parents Who Killed Their Children (4/30/2014 ISBN 1494787067. I know Amazon is a store, and that I understand, but for many authors that is their only book outlet that is well known.
- I do, feel, however, that the page you have diffed to is more appreciative of the Wikipedia intent. I am working on getting better wording, with additional detail, for the biography section to help remove the "close paraphrasing" tag
- Jasonwilczak (talk) 18:55, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Press-releases are not WP:RS. An ISB-number in itself is not a source. It's just a mean of ID. I think it would be ok to include an upcoming book in a bulleted bibliography list per WP:NLISTITEM. I'll apply the template
cite book
to one of the titles as a demo. Naturally we can not link directly to any site selling the books. - Gertrude Stein told Hemingway to avoid adjectives. It worked quite well for him. Happy editing, Sam Sailor Sing 19:25, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for that, I will follow your idea of a bulleted list in the bibliography section for upcoming publications that have the cite book template. Again, thank you for all your effort, I wasn't trying to come off angry, I truly am grateful for the insight and work you provided.

- You are very welcome, Jasonwilczak. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any "how's this done on Wikipedia"-situations. If I don't know, I know where you can ask. (The backstage part of Wikipedia is elaborate, always people ready to help out with most questions.) And you did not sound angry. Cheers, Sam Sailor Sing 20:07, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- Press-releases are not WP:RS. An ISB-number in itself is not a source. It's just a mean of ID. I think it would be ok to include an upcoming book in a bulleted bibliography list per WP:NLISTITEM. I'll apply the template
Thanks
Hi Sam Sailor, thank you for the welcome message and your help with the Korina Sanchez page. As suggested, I will work on looking for other references to base intro from. I'll also check out other pages and see how I can contribute to Wikipedia. :) MYT0531 (talk) 01:48, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

hi,
I clearly listed references in my edit. I understand that the language may not be neutral, but I invite you to rewrite it in a neutral tone but keeping the information intact, rather than removing it altogether. - My objection was not to the sources, but as indicated by my edit summary (Rv POV) I found wording
"To some, he was better known as the true peace-maker"
to be in violation of our policies on neutral point of view. Both Nixon and Eisenhower are already mentioned in the article. Now you have boldly added your text, and I have reverted you per our Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. This has the potential to become unpleasant. I have advised the anonymous editor to steer clear of Wikipedia until there are sources. The claims are plausible, but this kind of sniping is not at all in acrimonious splits. You might want to counsel the user who appears to be Parenti, about WP:AUTO and the like. - There is noting indicating that Social Science Cyber Library for the time being merits a stand-alone article, therefor I redirected it to Aligarh Muslim University where I have included it. If somebody e.g. removes material as I did here, do not just add it again as you did here. Read and respect WP:BRD. That material is utterly unencyclopedic and will never be accepted. Updating Semi-Protected Article Abdel Fattah el-Sisi
Hi Sam. Thank you for your review and comment on my edit request on Talk:Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Please let me know how can I get the opinion of other editor(s) as you recommended? Ramy23 (talk) 10:09, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Ramy23, you are currently on 9 edits. Saying e.g. "Thank you" in this thread would bring you up to ten edits, i.e. you would be WP:AUTOCONFIRMed, and could do the edit in Abdel Fattah el-Sisi yourself. If somebody then removes it, please pay attention to Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle: discuss rather than just put it in again. There are plenty of possibilities to get input from other editors. One would be to post on WT:EGYPT. Did you consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Egypt? Best, Sam Sailor Sing 10:05, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
How can I make my article a separate and full article in wikipedia
Although, it is a part of the Aligarh Muslim University but how can I make it a separate page. Because it is a full fledged library and further data has to be added. Besides, I am collecting the citations and the references for the page and the same will be included in the social science cyber library. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muzamil Mushtaq (talk • contribs) 06:58, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- I repeat: there is noting indicating that Social Science Cyber Library for the time being merits a stand-alone article. Please read Wikipedia:Notability. Notice that the notability guidelines do not apply to content within an article, which is why Social Science Cyber Library can be mentioned in Aligarh Muslim University.
- I am sorry to see that you continue to disregard the advice I give, and now in Aligarh Muslim University put in the same unencyclopedic material, here, as you did twice, here and here, after it had been removed from Social Science Cyber Library. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. The sources you have stuck in are all primary. Even if secondary sources could be found - and as far as I can tell, they cannot - this kind of info as to e.g. how the library categorises its material does not belong on Wikipedia. Sam Sailor Sing 10:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

OER inquiry
Hi Sam Sailor, I'm sending you this message because you're one of about 300 users who have recently edited an article in the umbrella category of open educational resources (OER) (or open education). In evaluating several projects we've been working on (e.g. the WIKISOO course and WikiProject Open), my colleague Pete Forsyth and I have wondered who chooses to edit OER-related articles and why. Regardless of whether you've taken the WIKISOO course yourself - and/or never even heard the term OER before - we'd be extremely grateful for your participation in this brief, anonymous survey before 27 April. No personal data is being collected. If you have any ideas or questions, please get in touch. My talk page awaits. Thanks for your support! - Sara FB (talk) 20:48, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Needs help Sam
The Social Science Cyber Library is an initiative of its kind not only in India but also in other nations as well. Its content and the free resources are unique in its own. The main drive of the Library is to provide a free platform for all the social scientists. It is definitely a part of Aligarh Muslim University but cannot it be a separate article in Wikipedia. I have collection a volume of references for its citations and authentication. Sam help me in making it a complete article in Wikipedia and why you said it as an unencyclopedic content. Hope you respond as soon as possible. Muzamil Mushtaq — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muzamil Mushtaq (talk • contribs) 11:14, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

In regard to editing the article on Ahae
In the Biography section of Ahae page, if the paragraph 1 (see below) that you have erased and the the last remaining paragraph 2 (see below) create conflict, I claim both paragraphs to be removed, as the government and the prosecutors in Korea are still investigating the truth. Also, please keep in mind that another wiki article Salvation sect was recently created and deleted short after, as it was considered an attack page, and the main editor of that article is the same editor (user:Junganghansik) who constantly attempts to add the statements that are against the person of the Biography (which cannot be considered objective, as there are still too many contradicting news reports). I started this article as a biographical article of an artist, but it only seems to become a place for debating whether the artist is involved in an incident that is not yet cleared in the Korean society. I suggest that any of such statements that are still in question to be removed from the article until the truth is settled down in South Korea.
Paragraph 1:
- Contrary to media reports, Ahae has no stake in the ferry company and his two sons have an indirect stake of only 10% of the ferry company. The Korean government is known to be influencing the mainstream media to further its own political agenda and to divert attention away from their own responsibilities related to the Sewol tragedy.[1][2][3]
which contradicts with the remaining Paragraph 2:
- Yoo Byung-eon is the head of the family owning Chonghaejin Marine, the operator of the MS Sewol which sank on April 16, 2014.[4][5][6] Due to his reclusiveness, he is known as "the millionaire with no face."[7] Currently, he is wanted for questioning by the South Korean government.[8][9] Testimony states that Yoo ordered the restructuring of the upper floor of the Sewol in order to install an exhibition hall for Ahae's photographs, which may have contributed to the sinking.[10]

- The subject's merits as an artist is, cf. my comments at AfD, something that could need more discussion. What is not in question is the amount of press Yoo Byung-eon has received in regards to the Sinking of the MV Sewol. I will post a welcome message at your talk page, and I warmly suggest you spend some time making yourself aquainted with how Wikipedia works. With a view to the unsourced, hagiographic crap you priviously added to the article, have a double read on WP:NPOV. Also, it could seem relevant to point your attention to WP:COI. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 16:26, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. I do understand that Yoo has received a great amount of press. However, while it may seem that the edits I have made to the article seem subjective and defensive for the artist, the sources I have provided are from credible press releases; and this is why I believe certain statements added by User:Junganghansik should be still considered unclear to be added in a wikipedia article. Also, I do not understand why a part of the Biography section was removed, while the content was referenced from a book written by several authors from the art community in Europe. I believe that the book stands as an objective, third-party opinion/critique of the artist Ahae. Ogtlife (talk) 17:50, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- Some of the many sources available online are quite candid, question the value of Yoo as the artist Ahae, ask how he out of nowhere came to exhibit where he did in 2011-13, and connect the dots to the businessman and religious leader. Especially after the Sinking of the MV Sewol. It then comes as no big surprise that an effort is made from Yoo/Ahae to exercise damage control, issue press releases, redirecting ahae.com to the newly created ahaenews.com, have interviews done with five different art experts and distribute these interviews on Youtube with and without Korean subs in defence of his artistic credability, and revive an otherwise dormant Twitter account. On Wikipedia we write unbiased based on independent sources. When a few days later a Wikipedia article, Ahae, is created as the first edit by a new editor, when this article makes no mention of subject's connection to MV Sewol, and when this article receives editing from Mount Kisco, New York, where a couple of Yoo's U.S. companies, AHAE PRODUCTS INC. and AHAE PRESS INC are based, then I do not pretend to be oblivious to the more than likely possibility of connections. If the book believed to be an objective, third-party opinion/critique is Ahae; Milan Knížák; Iosif Bakštejn (2012). So Simple, So Beautiful, So Perfect: Book on Ahae. KANT. ISBN 978-80-7437-077-9., then I question if it passes as an independent, reliable source for other things than the most uncontroversial facts. This can be brought up on the article talk page for discussion. I am quite sure that several details removed by me in this edit are worth including when reworded. That certainly will never include blurps like
"As a child, Ahae was always seen with pencil and paper in hand"
or"So he began to walk the path of an entrepreneur"
. They should stay in the press releases from where they alledgedly were copied ... they just don't pop up in any online available press releases as suggested, judging from Google. No surprise. If anything added by Junganghansik raises any concern, take it up on the article talk page, and base arguments on guidelines and policies. Sam Sailor Sing 22:42, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

- I would like it made clear that I was not the main editor of the Salvation sect page. Due to a demand for the Ahae page to be more interconnected with other Wikipedia pages, I linked it with the Salvation sect page as well as the Sewol page. I did very little work on the Salvation page, although I did copy some of its information over to the Ahae page. Whether Yoo is guilty of a crime or not, whatever his ownership of Chonghaejin is, whether he is a current or former cult leader, he is wanted by the law. The Korean government has been asking for help from the FBI and INTERPOL to track him down. Once he is found, it can be determined whether he is guilty of anything. A barnstar for you!
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar | |
I'm glad I stumbled across this list when looking at the WP:HOWTO category. So many of the barnstar options would have applied to your efforts, but given how large, useful, and (as far as I can tell) comprehensive your Abc list is, I thought this one was most appropriate. Plus, it moves!
Also, I'm disabled by daily fever spikes, and so when I'm beginning to get fuzzy-headed your Abc list helps me find what I'm looking for before I have to stop WPing for a while. Yay, accessibility! Thanks! Geekdiva (talk) 20:26, 1 June 2014 (UTC) |
- @Geekdiva: Thank you, Geekdiva, that was kind of you and made me glad. What better is there to have been to some little use? And it moves! I revisited the Abc, haven't worked on it or used it much for a while. Feel free to work on it ... or copy it to a subpage of your own and work on it ... in which case I will watchlist it and grab the fruits of your labour! Anything I can do for you, let me know. Happy editing Best, Sam Sailor Sing 21:05, 1 June 2014 (UTC) P.S. For more weird templates, but also a lot of usefull templates, go steal this!

Speedy deletion declined: Prince Adeyanju Lipede
Hello Sam Sailor. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Prince Adeyanju Lipede, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: there is enough assertion of importance here to pas the low bar of A7. Not sure about notability - you could consider AfD. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 13:57, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, JohnCD, and I agree, it's no longer an A7, but it was at the time of my tagging. And looking at potential sources I think subject would survive an AfD discussion. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 14:09, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, it has some independent sources since it was tagged, but they are all basically the same source and amount to an entry in a magazine list of over 100 people. We'll see if more appears. JohnCD (talk) 14:17, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Message re Stanley Enow
Hello , wish you are find please for the article "Stanley Enow" i have seen you added fanpov ;please if you really think the article has an issue can you help me to clean it up. i just took informations from different sources not by my own just for people knowledge and i think is neutral so help me please to make the article be suitable if you think is not! thank you!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by The girl Nini.C (talk • contribs) 22:34, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- @The girl Nini.C: I'll have a go at the lead at least. Take care not to copy verbatim from sources. The tone of writing in say an entertainment blog is almost always not suitable for an encyclopedia. And please stop removing maintenance tags like e.g.
fanpov
. Somebody eventually will remove it when they believe the problem has been taken care of. Don't hesitate with asking, if you have any questions. Happy editing. Hello there, I am not sure why I cannot amend where Stanley is from. On his official page it states he is "born and raised" in the west region but not that he is a "native" of the west region. He is called Bayangi boy because he is from the Bayangi tribe found precisely in Manyu in the South West region of Cameroon. It is rather embarrassing for us that such an important information is written incorrectly. I have even had people query that with me and as his PR, it does not look good. Our names in Cameroon typically dictates our origins and "Ebai Enow" are typically Bayangi names. Please verify this on google or advise me on what I need to do. Thanks ModeMaisonPR (talk) 15:44, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
- We use those sources that are available to write articles on Wikipedia. Enow's bio says "Born and raised in Bafoussam, a city in the West region of Cameroon". I value your input on the Bayangi Boy nickname, but what you are doing is on Wikipedia called original research. Please read all links you are given. You might be his PR manager as you have claimed, but that does not change how Wikipedia works. Please read the the messages I posted on your talk page. Sam Sailor Sing 15:55, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi Sam, wish you are fine! Excuse me to disturb but I saw the changement of the birthplace and you wrote he was born in bamenda I'm a little confused since in his official web site is written he was born in bafoussam help me please The girl Nini.C (talk)• — Preceding undated comment added 19:22, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- As I said on the article talk page, Bamenda is what Enow said is his birthplace in a published interview. You used the same source btw when you initially posted the article. That is a secondary source. If Enow continues his work as he has done so far, more and better sources will come up. Please read the article talk page again, and the links I have provided regarding WP:PRIMARY and WP:SPSSELF. Who knows, maybe he was born in Bafoussam, question then is, why would he say Bamenda? As the article stands now I have tried to mention all those regions, so everybody feels they "get their share of Enow". Now you please tell me: how did you know he was born on 8 February? Sam Sailor Sing 19:52, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much For his the 8february, that was an interview too I saw on TV but I didn't see any link as reference so... The girl Nini.C (talk)• — Preceding undated comment added 20:24, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

About my edit to "Systems of inheritance among various peoples"
I spoke with NQ about this issue, my edit was of good faith. A harsh war of edits seems to be raging in that article; I don't want to be involved in any confrontation with other users, I just wanted to add some information I found interesting. I never thought Wikipedia was such a difficult place. If my edit continues to be undone for no reason, I'll simply leave the article. Graniole (talk) 07:57, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Can you help me make my article better?
i need help as i don't want my article deleted i'm a popular music artist, could you help me out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maniac1992 (talk • contribs) 09:28, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Would like to, Josh, but everything here tells me that an article about you is just WP:TOSOON. My best advice would be: get back to doing the things you like, and if and when you get notable through coverage in reliable sources, someone else will write an article about you. Give WP:AB your consideration. But please read our notability criteria for musicians carefully to understand why your autobio is getting deleted. Any questions? Just ask! Hey there Sam! I was wondering if I can convince you to make a change to your signature so I can see it on my BlackBerry device which drops some deprecated and obsolete HTML elements like the <font>
tag that you are using. If you are willing, I suggest replacing:
--<span style="font-family:Eras Bold ITC;">Sam Sailor Sing</span>
with:
--<span style="font-family:Eras Bold ITC;">Sam Sailor Sing</span>
which will result in a 125 character long signature with an appearance of: --Sam Sailor Sing
compared to your existing 111 character long signature of: --Sam Sailor Sing

Hi, is this really necessary? The statements are already sourced and I doubt that the new citation actually supports all of what is said in the first instance. - Sitush (talk) 21:23, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
- Come again? I don't appreciate the assumption that I should have added a references to a source that does not support the facts. You may want to point out i.e. where in the sources prior to my edit, that you imply was unnecessary, the 1899 establishment of a collage at Muzaffarpur is mentioned, because I failed to see it. Whereas Sen covers it. Sam Sailor Sing 21:53, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
- I added the info a few days ago and, unlike the caste warriors, I don't make up stuff or use unreliable sources. For 1899 please see page 7 of the original source, here:
As there was no provision for higher education in NorthBihar up to 1899, those students who wished to joined a college were obliged to go either to Patna, to Bhagalpur, or to Calcutta. The raid spread of education in this part of the state led the Bhumihar Brahman Sabha to hold a meeting in March 1899 at which it was decided to establish a college at Muzaffapur. The college actually opened in July 1899.
- I added the info a few days ago and, unlike the caste warriors, I don't make up stuff or use unreliable sources. For 1899 please see page 7 of the original source, here:
- Now, please can you show how your source supports the entirety of
The Brahmanic status of the Bhumihars was a matter of debate. They were accepted socially as such but not in ritual terms because they were cultivators. They were not allowed, for example, to perform priestly duties and they had no knowledge of Sanskrit but as they made economic gains it was this recognition that they sought. Like many other aspirational castes, they followed the process of sanskritisation to achieve their ends, forming the Bhumihar Brahmin Mahasabha (BBM) in 1896 as a pressure group.
- Now, please can you show how your source supports the entirety of
- and why, when two sources are already present, there is any need for it.
- These caste-related articles are a nightmare to deal with - you'll probably not find anyone active at the moment who does more and knows more about the subject area - and I appreciate your efforts to control the disruption that has been going on. I just do not see the need for the extra source. The ones already cited can be seen in the UK, US and India on GBooks whereas the one that you have added is less accessible (I tend to check this sort of thing using a GBooks proxy because it can save a lot of arguments in these articles later - that's a product of experience and I don't expect you to know it). - Sitush (talk) 05:48, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
- It looks like you are not going to reply, so I'm going to revert you. - Sitush (talk) 06:17, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Feel free to. I for my part exercise no ownership over the article. But you appear to be ignorant to the intention of my edit. Sam Sailor Sing 06:22, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- It looks like you are not going to reply, so I'm going to revert you. - Sitush (talk) 06:17, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Ownership, eh? Take that implied claim to ANI or apologise. You have screwed up. We all do it from time to time but there is no need for ridiculous attacks like this. Even in the preceding messages here there are two examples of you misunderstanding things and now you've added a third. Not seeing the 1899 reference is particularly galling but I could accept it in good faith if it were not for your general attitude. Got something wrong? Apologise. I do when it happens to me. - Sitush (talk) 00:29, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
Sitush, I'm sorry that this first interaction between us is heading in the wrong direction. Yes, it does not reflect good on me that I did not notice the 1899 mentioned in the last end of paragraph citation. Your references are not only good, they are excellent. What I wish you understood is, that my addition of a reference in the first place was not mainly because I thought something was missing, as you see I did not read yours in their entirety, but mainly meant as a signal to those POV warriors that kept pasting reflist-less, crap-piles of text on top of yours, that someone cares about our articles a bit beyond reverting. I trust the article is perfectly well in your custody. Best, Sam Sailor Sing 03:40, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
