Backlogged?

This page often seems to be backlogged. Where is my hook?

If you can't find the hook you submitted to this page, in most cases it means your article has been approved and is in the queue for display on the main page. You can check whether your hook has been moved to the queue by reviewing the queue listings.

If your hook is not in the queue or already on the main page, it has probably been deleted. Deletion occurs if the hook is more than about eight days old and has unresolved issues for which any discussion has gone stale. If you think your hook has been unfairly deleted, you can query its deletion on the discussion page, but as a general rule deleted hooks will only be restored in exceptional circumstances.

      • I preserved the term used in the source. The only time I have heard of them (I study in the UK) they were just called filter beds but this manufacturer calls them percolating filter beds so perhaps it is a British only term. That's the problem with obit writers, they're not chemistry or bio experts.
