Draft:Way.com
Hi Graeme.
You recently undeleted this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Draft%3AWay.com and I started working on a draft based on this https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Business_and_economics/Companies/T-Z&stable=0#W. Can you have a look at it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Way.com? Provide any editing advice, help and image upload help, etc before I submit it for review?
Request of restoration of draft:Engr Babalola Olatunji
Hello please i am contacting you in regard of two things, first my userpage Tommygogd that was brought down and my first draft article Draft:Engr Babalola Olatunji this article was done neutrally , and i have been told to do declare a conflict of interest on my user page which i did, i do not understand why the article was brought down and also my page, this is my first article ever and i am doing this on a neutral point , is it possible for a person who does not have any contribution or whatsover to be paid for creating article, please i am pleading kindly restore the page so i can add more citation or for other contributor to be able to contribute to it , i am already getting discouraged because this is my first contribution and i have put so much effort in it than to be deleted, even if i am not given the priviledge to edit it , at least other contributor can for the sake of my effort.Tommygogd (talk). and if not please kindly restore to my userspace so i can continue to use it to pratice. but I wish you know this can make some of us trying to put effort in Wikipedia sad.
- @Tommygogd: I restored the draft Draft:Babalola Olatunji because I failed to notice that it had previously been deleted by Anthony Bradbury as advertising. I see that you have asked Anthony Bradbury for restore. So that is the appropriate procedure. If you rewrite, to improve the tone - do not include text like: "a popular news post", "furthered his career". Also leave off the training courses attended, as that is for a curriculum vitae. Also biographical details such as family should be properly referenced, otherwise it suggests that you know the person and my be outing previously unpublished information. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:39, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: Thanks a lot, you are the most intelligent ones out of all the people that has been denying my post all this while , your explanation and guidline now makes me know all the mistake i made in the article , i cant thank you enought for this insight , because i still wondered what i did wrong in the article , thanks a lot Graeme Bartlett God bless you for this little kinded Tips you gave me , please kindly help me request that Anthony Bradbury restore the draft if you can because he has not responded to me please i will be so glad. i will also do all this information you gave me now and clean up the article better with this guideline Tommygogd (talk) Tommygogd (talk) 22:40, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: hi , i have messaged Anthony Bradbury but he has not replied or even do anything on my comment on his talk page , and according to the wikipedia rules i guess any one of the admin can undo whatever other admin do if you see reason to, please kindly help in restoring my user page and this article if you can please, i dont want to start the article from scratch again after so much work i had put into this, i just want to take my time and edit the article properly till i get it right , then i can now be contributing more to wikipedia on my own without stress , if i have to start all over again i might still make mistake but my previous version will allow me to make corrections and see where my mistakes are because of next time, i am using this to learn and to contribute to wikipedia. thanks , i will be very glad if you can do something about it Tommygogd (talk) 20:36, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- I would not normally reverse the actions of another administrator outside the policy reasons. I might do so if the action was obviously a mistake. WP:DRV is for the situation you have, where the administrator does not respond. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:27, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Request to Undelete Lillee Jean a/k/a Lillee Jean Trueman
Any hope of restoring the wonderful work you were doing on https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft_talk:Lillee_Jean_Trueman&action=edit&redlink=1 - she has alot of news worthy articles on her advocacy for cyberbullying (something she is invested in, being a victim herself), as well as environmental issues, and advocacy against anti-semitism? paste here text of Blink the Mole
What was the most complete revision of the article Blink the Mole (I think it was an article before it became a redirect)? 2005-Fan (talk) 23:37, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Blink the Mole is a fictional character from Spyro: A Hero's Tail. He was rescued from a cage in the Crocovile Swamp by Spyro.
Blink is the Professor's nephew. He loves to be underground, citing "fresh-air-a-phobia" as his reason, along with being a mole. He is a friendly character who helps Spyro defeat Red the Dragon. Blink is sometimes called "Blinky". Blink is strong and he can do punches and butt bounces. Blink has strong lasers that can defeat most enemies. If the enemies are strong, he can just simply bomb them or zap them with a laser. Blink also has first person targeting goggles, which can detect enemies and can zoom in up to five times than normal (which helps with aiming lasers as well). Blink might say things like "Can I explore below ground?" or "You know I love it down there."
Appearances
Blink has so far only appeared in three games: Spyro A Hero's Tail, Spyro: Shadow Legacy and Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy (and Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage).

- Hello?
Wojciech Karlowski
Back in March you edited the article on Wojciech Karlowski, rewording a sentence that you considered puffery. It was indeed puffery, and it's not the only example in the article. On checking the history I saw that the article was created by Msciszewianka, and she has made a very high proportion of the edits. According to her user page her married name is Dorota Karlowska, a name that strongly suggests who she is married to, without proving it, of course. In the past I've seen tags on articles suggesting the creator is too closely associated with the subject, but I can't find an example now, and I don't know how to put such a tag. Do you have any advice? Incidentally, although Professor Karlowski is not totally insignificant, I'm surprised that he was considered notable enough to have his own article. Athel cb (talk) 16:47, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

Yes, I am a native Russian speaker. I am not a professional chemisist but respect the subject starting from my classes in the school. As for my recent articles, yes, I have translated many of them from the Russian wiki and added some other info that I managed to find. I do believe that these articles need some professional review, so I am thankful that you are around to fix the mess that I my leave unchecked.
I would also like to add visuals, but I don't know whom to ask for help.

Digital Journal wikpedia page restored and deleted?
Hello Graeme, for some reason the Digital Journal wikipedia page was deleted. You restored it, but it was deleted by someone again. It was here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Journal
Could you kindly assist in restoring? There is no reason it should be deleted.
- Not done β this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took placeΒ at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digital Journal (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, PremeditatedΒ ChaosΒ (talkΒ Β· contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. @Chrishogg18: there was a second debate. Also, out of curiosity, what was the latest text of Rare Candy (a Pokemon item). 2005-Fan (talk) 23:21, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Rare Candy is an item found in PokΓ©mon games that is rare (as its name suggests). When used on a PokΓ©mon, the PokΓ©mon will gain experience and go to the next level. Rare Candies are usually found in hidden places, and because they are hard to find they are often used in the Missingno. item duplication trick for the Red and Blue versions (when a player encounters Missingno. or 'M, his or her 6th item will be duplicated). They are also often used in the PokΓ©mon/Item Cloning Trick|Item Cloning Trick for the Gold and Silver versions ([1]). The Master Ball (the rarest item in the PokΓ©mon series) is also often used for these tricks due to its rarity.

Atomic spectra: why no principal series article?
Hello. I notice that you are the main author of 3 articles on atomic spectroscopy: sharp series, diffuse series and fundamental series, which gave their names to s, d and f orbitals respectively. However there seems to be no article at all on principal series, which gave its name to p orbitals. Do you know if there is any particular reason for the absence of an article on principal series, or is it just that no one happened to get around to writing one? Dirac66 (talk) 16:22, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Dirac66: The reason that I did not write it was that principal series was already existing to a redirect to an unrelated topic. I did not want to just add a useless stub. I thought about writing using the title Principal series (spectroscopy) and added it to my to-do list User:Graeme Bartlett/to do under Spectra topics. You can see the list of things I planned to write on and in the history what I actually did. But I have not done much of that list as I started on geology and now chemistry writings. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:44, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- OK, I have started a new article Principal series (spectroscopy). As for the redirect from Principal series, I have converted it into a disambiguation page, pointing both to the new spectroscopy article and to the math article where it pointed already. The reader can choose either. Dirac66 (talk) 21:59, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Support on page Alkali sulfur liquid battery
Hi Graeme, I'm Rachel the only female electrical engineer born and raised in Knoydart in Scotland. It's an isolated peninsula, which is not connected to UK's main grid. I saw this battery technology being prototype tested in Knoydart in 2014 an to be honest I have an emotional bond with this battery type as it supported and isolated island community such as ours, which was suffering from fuel poverty. I created this article after conducting lot of literature research and getting in touch with the original inventors. I would be very grateful to you if you can give me some tips to further improve this. You had commented indicating the the article reads like an advertisement. I would highly appreciate if you can indicate which parts you are concerned about, so I can improve it. I started this as a little project, so I can help wikipedia as a reviewer in the future. So this is great experience for me. I have added a problems and criticism section, which I plan to populate in next couple of weeks. Many Thanks and Thankyou very much in advance. Rachel Rachel.stop.extinction (talk) 14:15, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Rachel.stop.extinction: I assume you are talking about Alkali sulfur liquid battery. Some things to think about: this is an encyclopedia, so put in there what our readers want to know. For example I want to know what substances are used in the electrodes and chemicals and their reactions. I want to know how it can respond within 1 ms to power line changes. How can it be scalable in power? How is it compare to vanadium flow batteries? Some inappropriate text is the bit on what it is "not using". Instead say what it is using. There is a theoretical energy density, but give the actual density for this implementation. "crucial to fight the present climate crisis" is puffery on at least two fronts. Most of the "Invention, awards and inventor" section is promotional in tone. It would be excessive to have that big quote from Society for the Environment, but what is actually factual in that quote should be described in the article. There is quite a lot of "according to" and x "reports". You don't need to mention that unless the statement is controversial, or is opinion. Otherwise just leave it to the reference to identify where the information came from. Also the "Edinburgh energy firm powers up with EDF in Perth innovation challenge" does not mention most of what is in the text it references. (incl 100 million tons). Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:37, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: Yes, that was the page I was referring to .Thanks so much for your comments and now it's very clear to me. I agree with all your comments. I will remove all ambiguous and unnecessary text. If you ever get a chance kindly review the page again once I notify you after the changes...Many Thanks Rachel.stop.extinction (talk) 15:10, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Graeme Bartlett: Hi Graeme, thanks again for your guidance to improve this page. I have done a research over a month and have improved the page, addressing all the points you have highlighted above. I have collected, verified and validated a range of technical information about the battery, which the inventors agreed to share with me for sharing publicly. I have removed company names and quotes from other websites. In addition I have removed everything I could think of which were promotional in tone. Would highly appreciate if could do a review and give me some feedback. No hurry and please do when you get a chance ...Many Thanks in advance . I'm working with an editor on IRC chat about this page now. I agree that it's probably unsuitable content, but I noticed you deleted it and then restored it. --Salimfadhley (talk) 15:18, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- It was deleted by Fastily and Liz due to expired draft. I restored it due to request by CompVisExp, not because I thought it was good. It appears that CompVisExp did edit it. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:06, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Request to reset Draft:The Holy Kingdom of Judah page pre bias opinion rejection
I recently had a page I was editing restored after a justified deletion. I made an edit and summited it for review. The reviewer deleted references then rejected my submission for lack of reference. The deleted references where material and pertinent to why the person was due acceptance. The reviewer unnecessarily destroyed work and now the research is lost. Please restore the page back to piror the bias rejection or if possible review the last submitted page. Thank you. SalihaRosio. βΒ Preceding unsigned comment added by SalihaRosio (talk β’ contribs) 23:44, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- @SalihaRosio: What appears to be deleted was links to Wikipedia, Wiktionary, and online dictionary, and another online encyclopedia. Since these links are just giving more info on the words you attached them to, they are not really references on The Holy Kingdom of Judah. Instead you should link to the Wikipedia page with [[ ]]. We probably don't need external dictionary links, but if the term is obscure, just explain it in your article. You can link to Slave Coast of West Africa instead of a Britannica article. Orphaned non-free image File:Room 13 cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Room 13 cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

File:DingiriBandaWijetunga 1.jpg
Hi Graeme. I'm not quite sure what's going on at File:DingiriBandaWijetunga 1.jpg. This edit overwrote the previously uploaded non-free file with a completely different file and this edit removed the copyright license all together. It might be that the editor-in-question thinks that photos found on an official Sri Lankan government webiste are PD or otherwise freely licensed, but that's not what the source website says. Is a split needed here or can the file just be tagged with {{furd}} to get rid of the replaced version? -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:43, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- the previous image appears to be a crop of File:DingiriBandaWijetunga.jpg. So it means there are three non-free images. Two will have to be deleted. I wouldn't bother with a split, just delete.Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:52, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- Fair enough and thanks for taking a look. I'll tagged the overwritten file with {{furd}}. Just for reference, there is now also File:DBW-S.jpg which is missing a rationale and is orphaned. If neither of those things are addressed, it's going to end up deleted as well. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:46, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

GHS phrases by module now
I have introduced Module:GHS phrases at the backside of {{H-phrases}} and {{P-phrases}}. There should be no change wrt previous usage & behaviour: same result in the 2600 articles. Also, some new options are introduced, such as:
- List all available phrases (Template:GHS phrases § Templates)
- Remove formal overlappings (Template:GHS phrases § Omit Rules)
- List options added like inline, bulleted (Template:GHS phrases § List options)
Some more features are under development (such as: remove doubles). Of course, you can ping me if you encounter an issue.
BTW, could you take another look at [2] (Potassium ferrioxalate)? The GHS text added does not seem to be in place. thx.
-DePiep (talk) 06:54, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- @DePiep: THanks for the heads up. For that Potassium_ferrioxalate I tried 501c, but it did not work - perhaps 501c is a propriety code. But there seems to be no way to add the extra text as I thought you mentioned. 501=text doesnot work as I hoped. the idea is the extra text only appears when you hover. I also included your omit rules in the javascript translator (User:Graeme Bartlett/monobook.js P-phrasefmt and H-phrasefmt) I use to make the template content from more freeform input. I am responsible for some of the duplicates, but I decided I should look at what I put in there, rather than try to automate a deduplicate. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:14, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

|P264=text
is not implemented yet, but anyway does not allow free text. It will only allow for substitute text like|P264=hands
into P264: "Wash ... thoroughly after handling."
- - Doing duplicates is no death penalty. We have computers to resolve these. Don't worry. And: let the (future) deduplicate do the job, don't spend time on this.
- - I don't understand your "more freeform input" js, but if a module adjustment is needed, I'll hear. -DePiep (talk) 07:34, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- My .js lets me paste text from other reference lists, and it converts it to the | separated list for the templates to use. It strips out the H and P, but it appears that that is no longer needed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:43, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Great. And: yes, H and P now preferably kept prefixed. -DePiep (talk) 08:20, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

File:Chucky (Child's Play).jpg
Hi Graeme. Would you mind taking a peek at File:Chucky (Child's Play).jpg and check whether it needs a split. The file was recently over written with a different image of the same character. Thanks. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:51, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Well it only needs a split if someone wants to use the old image. Otherwise it can be removed from view/deleted. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:53, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Thanks for clarifying. One possible issue though is that the older versions will eventually be deleted per WP:F5 which is almost always not an issue because the versions are essentially the same. In this case, though, the "old file" has been essentially removed and made orphaned by being replaced by a "new different file" which means most likely the original uploader isn't going to end up notified by {{Di-orphaned fair use-notice}} since bots don't tend to issue notifications for {{Orphaned non-free revisions}}. It appears from the file page's history that there might've been some other attempts at overwriting that have been reverted; so, perhaps that will happen this time around as well. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:23, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- It was overwritten yet again by the same editor with another different version of Chucky character, but then was reverted back to its original version by another editor. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:43, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

What was the original text of this article? 2005-Fan (talk) 00:05, 11 December 2021 (UTC) @2005-Fan: The text had this (crediting ZeWrestler and Cuahl):
- The following is a list of key items in the Final Fantasy series of role playing games produced by Square Enix (originally Square Co., Ltd.). Key Items are objects that can be or is used, but only at specific points in the storyline. Usually a key item has only one purpose in the game and is only expendable at a certain point, and are usually part of the plotline development of the game.
- ==Final Fantasy VI==
- ===Slave Crown===
- In Final Fantasy VI, the slave crown is a mechanical device used by the Empire to control the wearer's thoughts. When the game begins, the character Terra is wearing a slave crown, but after she comes in contact with the Esper Tritoch, she falls unconscious and gets nursed by a man who removes this device, surprised to find how swiftly she has recovered from it.

GHS updates: depr old parameters?
There are some 200 chemboxes to update (petscan, YMMV).
Would it help if I deprecate the bad parameters already? |EUClass, RPhrases, SPhrases, RSPhrases=
. The articles with 'bad' input then will end up in Category:Pages using Chembox with unknown parametersΒ (0) (with other such errors). Acceptable for some months, I guess. -DePiep (talk) 08:54, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think that will help, as no one is adding these values any more. I think that we should be able to empty these out by the end of next year, and possibly within a couple of months. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:06, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- OK for me. BTW it's not about adding, but about listing articles that use them. Of course we have other ways to find those articles. -DePiep (talk) 11:17, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- Flagging may help find empty parameters like |EUClass= as they probably wont trigger the DHS data cat. But a search with regex can probably find itGraeme Bartlett (talk) 11:26, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

G4 deletions
Please undelete Template:R3 and Template:R4. The G4 criterion did not apply as my recreation of the page had nothing in common with the version that was previously deleted at TfD. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:48, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- I thought it was a very bad idea to recreate these templates while the delete of the other Rx templates is still in progress. By having those redirect, it causes the history of many pages to show the speeddy delete notice. It would be much much better to just show a red link. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:37, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- That might be a valid argument at RfD, but it doesn't make the G4 deletion any more acceptable, because redirects to speedy deletion templates and r-phrase templates have nothing in common. My reasoning for recreating them was that most speedy deletion templates have a redirect from their two-letter code when there's nothing else competing for that name. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:12, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- We can now be please that where it was showing as a blue link indicated undeleted in Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Holding cell/R-phrase now has everything deleted! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:15, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- GKFX had already removed those templates from the list, so that's irrelevant. Anyway, it's clear this discussion is going nowhere, so ... * Pppery * it has begun... 21:21, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

CSD deletion rationale for drafts
Hello, Graeme,
I've started to look over expiring drafts and deleting ones that appear to be an attempt at creating a social media profile like you'd see on Facebook. They aren't article drafts in any way shape or form, but they also aren't really "advertising". They appear to be the result of a very new editor not knowing what an encyclopedia is or what it is for.
The article title is always their name and they have information like their parent's names, their high school and what they want to do after their schooling. So, they have autobiographical information like you would have on a Linked In or Facebook profile but they are often the editor's only edit on Wikipedia. So, somewhere they got the idea that they should create a personal Wikipedia page. I've marked them both as "test edits" and "promotional". If there is even a hint of an actual draft of an article, I leave it to be deleted via G13. I sincerely doubt that any of these editors will return and make a request at WP:REFUND for the return of their draft but I wanted to mention doing this to the admins who regular patrol REFUND in case you come across this combination of deletion rationales. I wish we had a CSD rationale of "attempt at a social media profile page" but we don't so this is my temporary solution. If you have strong objections to this approach, let me know. They just don't seem like pages that should be restored as regular G13s because they aren't article drafts that will ever be moved to main space.
Thanks and I hope you have a great holiday season! Liz Read! Talk! 02:54, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- Well this sounds also like too much information disclosure from a minor. If I notice an article on someone under 18, I will decline to restore, especially if it's an autobiography. I will treat such a G2 G11 deletion as final. Maybe even needs an oversight. Happy Christmas to you too @Liz:. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:47, 22 December 2021 (UTC)

Stripmarker error
This is a minor issue, but you have made a number of recent edits with the edit summary "clean stripmarker error", such as this one. I don't understand what this means for editors. Should Template:CO2 not be used? Has it been or is it about to be deprecated? Or should it just not be used in some specific circumstances? Does the same apply to other companion templates, such as Template:CH4? β Epipelagic (talk) 00:15, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Epipelagic: These templates are currently incompatible with cite templates and are causing that stripmarker error in the references section. I have proposed that the CO2 template should not use CHEM2 template, as that is what is causing the "templatestyles stripmarker in" error. But the same issue is in all those templates like H2O H3O CH4. The discussion that triggers these edits is at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Chemistry#Help needed, so please join in. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:34, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. I'm aware these templates don't work in cite templates, but many of the reversals you made didn't involve cite templates. β Epipelagic (talk) 02:09, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I use a regular expression matcher that changes all of them. {{CO2}} to CO2. I really dislike chem2 (and chem1) because of many problems, so at any convenient opportunity I will change them to use sub mark up. If CO2 template changes to not use chem2 template, then this change will not be needed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:31, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

The article National Catholic Church of America has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Clearly fails WP:NCHURCH. No mention to be found anywhere of this denomination outside of its website; no mention in the 2009 Melton's encyclopedia of American religions or in Google books or Google scholar.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Veverve (talk) 14:29, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

How we will see unregistered users
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you donβt miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

- hmm, my guess would be probably not? Just off memory, I think it got that number over a 24-hour span instead of a half-day hook, so it only counts for half the number of views per hour (the threshold is 416+2β3). theleekycauldron (talk β’ contribs) (they/she) 09:30, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Naval Piranha credit to user:Jagresta@bigpond.net.au
Naval Piranha is a fictional magically empowered Piranha Plant who first appeared in the video game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island with many vines growing out of him.
Attacks and Appearances
Naval Piranha has three attacks, the first of which is a ramming attack. In the second attack, Naval shoots Nipper spores out of his mouth which become Nippers if they touch the ground to make Yoshi's fight more difficult. For Naval's last attack, he sends his vines to attack Yoshi.
A very easy way to beat him is to have an egg, carefully aim at the piranha plant (which becomes Naval Pirahna), and destroy it. Kamek will appear, scream "OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!" and run away. You then get the key.
Naval Piranha also appears in the video game Tetris Attack, as the second of four bosses. He appeared as a villain along with Hookbill the Koopa, while Raphael Raven had turned good.
Naval Piranha is not to be confused with the Lava Piranha boss from Paper Mario, despite the two looking almost identical.
Electrokoopa credit to user:Rtkat3
Electrokoopas are types of Koopas from Super Mario Sunshine.
They are the kind of koopa that have two electric spikes on their back. They come in different varieties: blue and red. The blue ones launch their electric shells at you, the red ones climb walls and ceilings. The best way to defeat a blue Electrokoopa is to wait for its shell to launch and stomp it. Otherwise, be in long distance and hose it down with its shell off and when the shell returns, the blue Electrokoopa will get shocked and die.
They caused a lot of trouble in Pinna Park which caused a lack of visitors. One green one slept on a door at the top of the ferris wheel causing it to spin. If you open from underneath, the green Electrokoopa will fly into the ocean.
Hookbill the Koopa credit to user:Jagresta@bigpond.net.au
Hookbill the Koopa is a magically empowered Koopa Troopa, and the final boss of World 4 in the video game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. His name stems from his large hookbill jaw, hence the name.
Attacks and Appearances
To defeat Hookbill, one must pelt him with eggs until he falls over, and then pound under his belly. This must be done three times to win the battle. Hookbill has several different attacks. First, he will crawl to you on all fours, causing you to drop Baby Mario if he touches you. When you pound his stomach, he will withdraw into his shell and start bouncing around before proceeding to his next attack. After being wounded once, he gets up on two legs and starts running, again causing you to lose control of Baby Mario if he comes in contact with you. For his final attack, he will jump and attempt to body slam you. Once Hookbill is defeated, he falls off of the edge.
Hookbill appears in Tetris Attack as the first of the four bosses, along with Naval Piranha, while Raphael Raven became a hero instead of a villain.
Fierce Deity's Mask credit 68.210.248.127; 81.152.83.56; Red Phoenix (usurped); Chris Russo
The Fierce Deity's Mask is a fictional mask in the video game The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It is the most powerful and final mask that can be collected in the game.
This mask is that of a warrior god, and has an unknown past. In the Japanese version of the game, it is referred to as the mask of an ogre god; while the name 'Oni Link', derived from this, is a fanon term for Link's transformation at this point, there is no similar reference in the English versions of the game. When Link is on the moon, he is met by four moon kids. Link gives his twenty normal masks to these four, and then meets a fifth moon kid. When the fifth one sees that Link has no masks, he offers to give Link a powerful mask: Fierce Deity's Mask. The powers of this mask are rumored to be as horrible as those of Majora's Mask, and when Link puts it on he grows into a large being resembling the adult Link from Ocarina of Time, but with a bluish-silver tunic, no pupils, and a giant, double-helix, two-handed sword. This sword can shoot magic orbs and is very useful against the three forms of Majora. It is equally effective against the other bosses in game, but cannot be used any further than the boss battles. Link's Fierce Deity form is considered to be the most powerful form that he has ever taken so far, while at the same time, his most mysterious form.
Cataquack credit: 62.195.1.136 and Rtkat3
Cataquacks are creatures from the game Super Mario Sunshine.
They appear at Gelato Beach where they are an irritating pest. Once spotted, they follow you around until they throw you high into the air. A fun way to beat them is to lure one, and then run to a tree and quickly climb in it. The cataquack will slam headfirst into the tree and will immediately be capsized. Only the red cataquacks damage you. If you lure a Cataquack to a sand bud and capsize it followed by your watering of the sand bud, it will fly into the air, and die landing on it's back (It turns to sand upon impact).
In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, the Cataquacks are obstacles in the Peach Beach course and they'll flip you in the air. They can be capsized by a powerful weapon.

Internet Archive Scholar vs. JSTOR
Hello, I see on your user page that you use JSTOR and I'd like to know more about your experience. By my calculations, a good 70Β % of the main JSTOR content is now available for everyone at Internet Archive Scholar, with full text search provided e.g. at https://scholar.archive.org/ . The service is still in beta, but I've used it for some source-finding and it seems quite usable to me; I wonder whether that's just my experience. If you have a chance, the next time you'd be looking for a source on Google Scholar or JSTOR or similar, to perform the same search on IA scholar instead, I'd be curious to hear how it ends up. Thanks, Nemo 19:07, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Is it ok if you undelete the page history of this? it had some content before & might be eligible for Wikibooks inclusion. 2005-Fan (talk) 14:54, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

- Thank youΒ :) I was also wondering about Donkey Kong's animal buddies and List of non-Kremling Donkey Kong enemies page history. i think i have it as a user subpage, but page history might have revisions that had some info that was cut or trimmed for "game guide" reasons (and "game guide" is like for Wikibooks) 2005-Fan (talk) 22:12, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Vandalism at Edit filter/False positives/Reports
Hi, I've noticed a vandal IP 2001:8003:2225:9501:6562:6C0C:D657:390D vandalised the Edit filter/False positives/Reports page, the thing is that they did it at such a time (or in such a way) that led the bot to archive a vandalised report by someone else, and now I'm not sure how to reverse it.
Can you revert it, or instruct me in how to? I'm not sure if reverting both that page and the archive has any consequences for the bots.
Thank you β 2804:F14:C060:8A01:44CA:6E00:BBE0:33A (talk) 08:54, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Looks like edits were reverted already. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:09, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but what I meant is that this was archived by the bot after the IP I linked edited it, only their last contribution/vandalism was reverted and I'm really not sure if reverting the vandalised report in the archive (basically deleting it) and then reverting the active reports to before they were vandalised will not accidentally cause the bot to do something unexpected. β 2804:F14:C060:8A01:44CA:6E00:BBE0:33A (talk) 09:34, 8 April 2022 (UTC)

Indefinite Protection on Sing 2 Was Fine
Hello. I was fine if you protected Sing 2 indefinitely, without a date selected. There's been a lot of persistent disruptive editing going on in that page. I think it's better if it was protected until its previous date, which you selected indefinite. Also when all that is finished, don't forget to add {{pp-protected}}. Thanks. 2601:204:203:5110:EC57:FF5B:301:C9F3 (talk) 16:52, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Indefinite was an accident as I changed the number in the wrong box on my protect page. I am hoping a bot will add protection templates! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:21, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Actually, about the bot (MusikBot II), the owner of it is currently attempting to migrate it to ToolForge, and is therefore partially down from time to time, and I'm not sure when its coming back (Im currently having to sort the removal side of pp templates myself, no way i can also keep up with new protections of pages). For now, if you protect a page, please also add the template yourself, so the bot has less catch-up once its back. Aidan9382 (talk) 09:44, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Well between you and MusikBot II, all but one were tagged, so I have now applied the silver lock to the last one. So MusikBot II is more able than we thought. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:01, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

Logo
Hello! Thanks for frequently handling my REFUNDs - I really appreciate it. I am coming directly to your talk page to ask about File:Mercy for Animals logo.svg. The current logo is clearly {{PD-textlogo}}, but one of the upload comments states that the company has changed their logo
. I don't feel like REFUND is the correct venue to request this. For all I know, the previous revisions are nonfree in which case this undeletion request is definitely not "uncontroversial". Would you be able to make that judgement call/undelete the revisions if they can be? Thank you so much! HouseBlastertalk 15:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- You can ask at WP:REFUND as long as you can tolerate a "not done" answer! In this case one upload was PD, but the earliest one was the logo you see here: https://www.openphilanthropy.org/focus/us-policy/farm-animal-welfare/mercy-animals-international-cage-free-advocacy (chicken rabbit fish) which I would count as copyright applicable.
