Fantasy RPGs

Hey there!  :) I have been particularly enjoying seeing you popping up again and again on my watchlist as you work on articles I created as well as ones that I am interested in, particularly lately on what you did with Shadowlands. I have started dozens of video game articles, but that was among my first, which I did as part of going through tabletop game magazine "Dragon" to make sure that all of the reviews from their computer game column had articles. I made quite a few articles at that time (and I have done similar things with other magazines since then), but going back to where I started, I made them all as little stubs and most of them have grown out of that to one degree or another over time as other users added to them. Since it looks like you are primarily interested in fantasy RPGs, if you wanted to take a look at and see what you can do with any more like those, I made a (relatively) short list: Dungeon of Death, Dunzhin, Dragonfire II: The Dungeonmaster's Assistant, OrbQuest: The Search For Seven Wards, Realms of Darkness, Tower of Myraglen, Citadel: Adventure of the Crystal Keep, Knight Force, Fire King, The Keys to Maramon, DarkSpyre, Prophecy of the Shadow, Paladin II, Challenge of the Five Realms, and Citadel of the Dead.  :) BOZ (talk) 23:03, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Waxworker! Thanks for your work Die Kathedrale, and I am translating it into my homewiki: non-English text adventure games are always distinctive. And I have a couple of questions:

• The game was inspired by Münster Cathedral or St. Paul's Church, Munich? The source said "Als die bei­den Ende 1989 die Münch­ner St. Pauls Kathedrale be­sichtigten...". I can not understand German and have to use machine translation. Are there any missing?
• In my language, there is no hypernym like "half-brother" - we need to clarify which parent is the same one. Did the game reveal something about Paz and Jan Hus' same parent (or which one is more likely to be the same)?
• What does "legibility" mean in "the legibility of the output text is excellent"? Is this comprehension correct: "output text is also written in native German, so it had a great comprehensibility"?

2. I wouldn't know anything about this, sorry. I haven't played the game, and all information on the game I got from the sources on the article. None of the current sources specify which parent.

3. Your comprehension is correct: "legibility" refers to and praises the game's fluid native German text, while English games that have been translated into German may lack this fluidity due to not originally being in German. I believe the game's support for special characters used in German, umlauts and eszett were also a factor in this point of praise, as they were for Das Stundenglas. @BOZ: Neat! You've done really good work with Next Generation's reviews, I've been doing a similar thing with The One, although I'm far less active at the moment as I'm in the process of moving, among other things. The One's pre-release interviews are invaluable for information regarding a game's development, and some other magazines at the time (such as Zzap!) did them as well, so I'd recommend looking for those in addendum to reviews. @BOZ: I was unaware of that project, but it doesn't really impact my work with The One, as I'm working on going though the full contents of the magazine, including it's interviews and news sections, rather than only reviews. The news sections have frequently mentioned games that end up unreleased or specific release dates for games (which is also useful!), and in the case of Constructor, it revealed the existence of an unreleased cancelled (probably Amiga) version of the game a full six years before the game was ever released. Retro games

I have seen some of the work you do on older games. I have tried with some success to start articles from existing redirects, or restoring old redirected articles, but so far Killer Bees!, and M*A*S*H (video game), and Sorcerer's Apprentice (Atari 2600) and Lifespan (video game) were all redirected no matter what I tried to do with them - do you know if anything can be done for any of those? I definitely think those could be full-fledged articles, but they just need more detail before publishing. Citations need to be properly formatted, there should be an infobox, a reception section that overviews the opinions of reviews of the game, and a gameplay section that goes over how the game is played sufficiently. While I think you definitely already have an alright number of sources (on Apprentice atleast), you need to write more using info garnered from them. For Sorcerer's Apprentice, I've found many additional sources for you:[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. I found these sources through Archive.org, by selecting "search text contents" in the search window with the string "Sorcerer's Apprentice atari". While a lot of irrelevant sources come up, if you take the time to look through the results (like eyeing what's highlighted to see if it's relevant), you can find a lot of sources this way, it's what I always do. I usually also check MobyGames, Kultboy (German source), SpectrumComputing, the Amiga Hall of Light, and just googling the name of the name of the game with key terms such as the system it's on or who made it. Professional citations and tables (if there's atleast 2 review scores) also really help. I've only done a cursory search for the other two, as I feel you should find more sources yourself through Archive.org n such, but typically with Archive.org results it's easier to find sources if the name of the game's less generic. In regards to Lifespan, there's definitely more sources, but they'll be harder to find due to the name. "Sorcerer's Apprentice" was easy to find, as the name's more specific. @Dream Focus: Apologies if I put it on some games that don't have castles enough to be a defining trait - by and large I was going off how much castles were mentioned in the gameplay/plot descriptions, and in the case of Dungeon Siege Castle Ehb was a major part of the game both in my opinion and it came up a lot on the article, but whatever. Sorry to be a bit of an inconvenience - was working on filling an underpopulated category and my determining factor for adding it was how much castles were mentioned throughout the article and my own personal judgement. KCD Biographies

Hi Waxworker!

I noticed you edited a few biographies about historical figures featured in the game Kingdom Come deliverance. I understand that you don't want to include information tying the figures to the characters in the game due to the lack of non-primary sources.

In my opinion, I think a brief mention about the characters being based on the historical figures is appropriate, and citing the game itself, which explicitly states such, should be fine under WP:PRIMARYCARE. The game itself is notable the information is easily verifiable, and I don't believe anything extraneous was included. What do you think? Mbdfar (talk) 18:31, 20 January 2021 (UTC)

@Mbdfar: If you want to add it back, go ahead; I think it's fine on the condition that it explicitly states ingame that X character is based on X historical figure, as the names used in the game aren't exactly the same. Otherwise it seems like original research. The images from the game being used on the article probably shouldn't stay though, as they were uploaded to Commons despite being copyrighted images ripped from the game. In addendum to this, having a video game portrayal as the main image on the article for a real person seems rather inappropriate, especially as we don't know how speculative the depiction of their appearance is, and where they got the information on what they looked like. Moonmist

Thanks for fixing the header name I botched. As you guessed, it should have been Release and not Reception. The reason I removed the line about the invisible ink hint book is because that's not specific to Moonmist. Infocom sold Invisiclues books for most of their games. @Dgpop: I was unaware that the invisible ink hint book wasn't unique to Moonmist, but I'm still opposed to removing info about it. I can probably find a ref talking about the 'Invisiclues' range as a whole and reword it to something like "As part of Infocom's Invisiclues range of hint books, a hint book for the game written in invisible ink was available through mail order." What feels wrong to me, is when each Infocom article has an explanation of "Feelies," talks about how portable the Z-machine is, etc. Maybe Invisiclues weren't sold for all games, so there's a clear reason to only include it in some articles? Dgpop (talk) 21:43, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

@Dgpop: I think that 'feelies' definitely needs an article of its own, as the concept was popular with a lot of RPGs and adventure games in the 80's and early 90's, although it was definitely popularized by Infocom. Hyperlinking to the article for the concept rather than re-explaining it on every page would be more apt, especially as many other non-Infocom games had them, with Ultima and all of Software 2000's artventure games (like Die Kathedrale & Hexuma) coming to mind. @Judithcomm: Please see WP:IMDB - IMDB is considered unreliable as its user-generated, and stills from the film don't show that the appearance of the castle in the film is notable. Generally for pop culture appearances citing the film/media itself isn't considered reliable, and would need a third-party source discussing the work and its relevance to the subject of the article. Schrödinger's cat in popular culture

Hello, back in April you raised issues with Schrödinger's cat in popular culture at Wikipedia:Cleanup. That article was nominated for deletion at least twice in Wikipedia's early years (pre-2010) and survived, largely because of user beliefs at that time about useful pop culture articles. I think WP guidelines have gotten tougher since then, especially WP:INDISCRIMINATE and WP:OR. What would you think about nominating the article for deletion again, this time under 2021 standards? @Doomsdayer520: I think it'd be good to bring it to AFD again, but I doubt it'll get deleted due to the article's age and as it's a large article with references (technically, even if its an unreliable source or just citing the media that mentions Schrödinger's cat itself) and I think people responding to the AFD may take an immediate glance at the article and its sourcing, see the three previous keep discussions, and come to the conclusion that it's a good, properly sourced article. If you do take it to AFD, I'd suggest making a case about why the sourcing is unsuitable and why the concept of 'Schrödinger's cat in popular culture' as a whole doesn't meep WP's notability standards, and that these standards have changed over time. @Macskabagoly: Movie clips on Youtube aren't a reliable source (see WP:RSPYT), and it is also a copyright violation, see WP:YOUTUBE. TV Tropes is an unreliable source per WP:RSP, as it is user-generated. Wired is a reliable source, re-adding info about the film seems fine with the Wired ref, but I encourage you to read WP:POPCULTURE - the article as it stands is rather poorly sourced and should not be seen as a good example of an 'in popular culture' article. Thanks for the info, that's really great help for an inexperienced editor like me. What about Wikipedia content as source? In this case, the movie's WP article contains explicit mention of EMP in the narrative and clearly supports my edit. Isn't that sufficient? All other entries in the movie list refer exclusively to their respective WP articles, which do or do not mention EMP (e.g. in the case of Battle Royale II: Requiem, using EMP and its role in the narrative is not mentioned in the article in any form). @Macskabagoly: Please see WP:BURDEN - unsourced info can be challenged and removed - the rest of the article should not be used as a guide for adding new entries, as it is largely unsourced and may be removed. As I said, re-adding the info you added with the Wired article seems fine, as it is a reliable source. Wikipedia articles should not be cited within Wikipedia per WP:CIRCULAR as it is a user-generated source. Referencing is not only used to show that information is true (e.g. there was an EMP in this film), but also that it is notable. If an EMP is a major part of a film and reliable sources discuss this, then it would be good to add with said sources. If an EMP appears in a film but is not a major part of it/sources only mention the EMP in passing, then it should not be added. In this case, the Wired ref seems to indicate notability. I recommend that you read WP:REFSTART - articles about the alternate ending by reliable sources would need to be added. Multiple articles about alternate endings for the film show up readily on Google, but I was unable to find anything mentioning the ending added in your edit in a cursory search. If you find a source discussing this alternate ending, I recommend that you doublecheck WP:RSP or WP:FILM/R to see if the source is considered reliable by consensus. I recommend that you read WP:NOTCENSORED and WP:COPYLINK - while ISPs may find the site objectionable, Wikipedia is not censored and its sensible for an article about a notable website to have a link to the website in question. WP:COPYLINK states that "In articles about a website, it is acceptable to include a link to that website even if there are possible copyright violations somewhere on the site", and articles about sites with similar legal concerns, such as RARBG and The Pirate Bay, list the site's URL. To take the example further, articles about darkweb markets (such as AlphaBay, Silk Road) list their URLs as well. I noticed that, in recent weeks, you have been adding lots of new categories to a wide range of articles. While these are certainly useful, I catch myself having to sort them alphabetically in accordance with the MoS every time such an edit pops up on my watchlist. I'm not a regular HotCat user, so if there is something you missed, I wouldn't know of it either. The script I mentioned is fairly easy to use. You install it like all others by placing {{subst:lusc|User:Epicgenius/sortcategories.js}} on this page (because of substing it will give you a syntax error warning that you can ignore). If you look at my sources they show that I added a real instance of the video being used and since it is a government propaganda video on PSYOPS (Psychological Operations) then it is not irrelevant. Even if you might not like the context it is still valid. Why not remove the instances where rap videos are cited? Some might scoff at those but not me because they directly point to an instance of the video being referenced, making it a valid entry. I've noticed a report for Special:Contributions/23.133.128.0/18 at WP:AIV, which is identical to Special:Contributions/23.133.128.0/24, and currently even identical to Special:Contributions/23.133.160.0/26. The latest contributions fit into Special:Contributions/23.133.160.0/27.

This leaves me wondering if you know how IP ranges work, and how you create them. The number after the slash is the number of bits that you are specifically referring to. For example, if you are specifically referring to one IP address, you can write "/32", as you are referring to all of the 32 bits an IPv4 address has. If you are referring to all IP addresses in the world, you can write "/0", as you are not referring to anything in specific.

• "1.0.0.0/8" is every IP address that starts with "1."
• "1.1.0.0/16" is every IP address that starts with "1.1."
• "1.1.1.0/24" is every IP address that starts with "1.1.1.". That's 256 addresses.
• "1.1.1.0/25" begins at "1.1.1.0" and ends at the half of the next block, "1.1.1.127". That's 128 addresses. You can halve that block further:
• "1.1.1.0/26" begins at "1.1.1.0" and ends at "1.1.1.63". That's 64 addresses. And once more:
• "1.1.1.0/27" begins at "1.1.1.0" and ends at "1.1.1.31". That's 32 addresses.

All that technical explanation aside, I'm also unsure if "disruption" is really a reason for an AIV report. If you have a closer look at the header of WP:AIV, you'll notice that it generally isn't.

@ToBeFree: I generally describe a report as "disruptive editing" if I'm unsure how to describe the IP's behavior other than 'addition of unsourced content', and to find a range I generally just put /16 after a relevant IP in the URL bar and increase that by 2 until finding a range that seems to cover the disruption without also encompassing constructive IP editors. In the case of 178.90.192.0/18, I reported as 'disruption' as they persistently add excessive plot detail to articles for MGM/Disney cartoons, adding such things as "An inscription On the final screen appeared the end an mgm cartoon made in hollywood u.s.a" or "On Then On Final Screen Goes And Inscription Appeared The End A Walt Disney Production" and I'm unsure how to otherwise describe the persistent addition of this. Apologies if I'm doing IP range reports wrong, I only vaguely figured out ranges a few months ago. Any input would be appreciated. Waxworker (talk) 22:16, 28 December 2022 (UTC)

Ah, no worries. The approach to creating a range is almost fine, but it lacks the important final step of checking if the range is unduly huge. It doesn't always have to be the smallest possible range and the Whois information can help to choose one.

For example, if someone vandalizes in a /27 range and the Whois output talks about a /26 range, blocking the /26 is usually a good way to prevent the user from randomly stepping outside of the range by reconnecting to the Internet. On the other hand, reporting a /18 where a /27 would have sufficed is clearly excessive to the point of making me write a custom request not to do so.

I think in 99% of the cases, you can simply report individual IP addresses, especially if none have been blocked yet. A rangeblock is a good response to block evasion, not the initial disruption. Administrators will also usually notice a need for rangeblocks when block evasion is repeatedly reported. Reporting specific ranges at AIV is often unnecessary.

If the disruption is only caused by the repetition using multiple IP addresses, page protection could be a better thing to ask for than a large rangeblock. At AIV, a quick note like "has been warned before at User talk:1.1.1.1" can be sufficient and even more helpful than a range.

Whatever the person behind 23.133.160.18 is doing and why, it's certainly edit warring, so I have blocked that IP address for two weeks for now. If they return, "blocked for the same behavior at User talk:23.133.160.18 before" could be added to a report about the new IP address. And perhaps that report is best made at WP:ANEW or WP:RFPP, as the behavior is indeed disruptive but not obvious vandalism.

Savage: The Battle for Newerth and Savage DRX / Savage DRX Community Server

Hello, Could you advice how are we're supposed to go about this? Originally S2Games handed development to the SFE team, SFE team handed it to the XR team and finally XR team handed development to DRX team. It's many generations of developers and only way to currently play Savage is the DRX version. When Newerth.com closed down, the XR version became obsolete (if you download the game, it won't even launch because the services auto updater is trying to reach don't exists anymore). If you visit Newerth.com, it tells that "the folks at community-server.info are continuing to support the development of the game and community nearly 20 years after its release! Additionally, we have provided them with the necessary tools to revive these services in their DRX client." Since Newerth.com is the official Savage site according to the wiki page itself, as a trusted source it should be enough to establish that Savage DRX the official continuation currently. I can remove however the feature lists because Discord as a source isn't very good but sadly it's currently the only source. Possible mobile IP vandal?

You'll have to excuse me, as I really don't have a Wikipedia account to begin with and only thought to leave this here instead of as a reply on my IP's talk page when I suspected that you might not see it that way.

But to make things simple, I (personally) don't remember ever visiting either of the two pages that appear credited to my IP's contributions. I myself was convalescing in bed with a cold during the timestamp given by the edit. I've checked the edit history for the vandalized page you're referring to (Mune: Guardian of the Moon) and it appears that several different unregistered IPs have been trying to make the exact same insistent edit every time, so I can only assume it's someone cycling roaming IPs (note the mobile edit tag) and leaving others to take the fall. I'm afraid I hardly ever touch Wikipedia articles myself even when I see cleanup tags I could probably address, and I doubt your culprit is likely to learn their lesson if this message is just going to be left on unfortunate victims' IP addresses instead. 154.20.186.173 (talk) 02:15, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

But I don't think mentioning classical music used in the video game violates anything. I also believe it represents valuable information for readers. Personally, I played the game in my distant childhood, but I still remember the tunes from it and often encounter them elsewhere. In fact, I looked into the article just to identify some of them. Sega Star Trek Arcade

You rolled back my edit citing "doesn't appear to be a reliable source". You used the word "appear" in your reasoning for your roll back. This would show that it is your opinion rather than based on researched fact. I am writing to prove first of my credibility as an owner operator of arcade games is apparent. I have been a long standing member listed in the KLOV database showing that I own over arcade 20 games. Second, and on a light note, I would like to challenge you to a game of Sega Star Trek to prove that my document is reliable strategy. I am not sure how else to prove that to you.

My source was the three episodes or so of the anime I attributed him to that he was a voice actor for, pulled directly from the credits of said anime. As several(most) of the other VC roles attributed to him didn't have citations, it should have been fine. Additionally, reading through the other notes here on your page, it looks like this is something you do to all newer folk, if you don't happen to agree with the edit or it "doesn't meet your standards". I speak Japanese, can read it rather well, and anyone else who can as well can verify my edits. You not speaking Japanese doesn't mean that my edit was invalid, and this anime has been out for a while now. You can sourcechase it yourself, if you're going to be that critical. Such references are hard to find because some of these stations, such as TV Cultura, do not have any mentions online to having ever aired this cartoon. Please see WP:VGSCOPE - excessive gameplay detail is discouraged, specifically "Lists of gameplay items", a table of maps in the game is unnecessary. The table was also unsourced - per WP:VERIFY, reliable sources need to be cited to verify information. @Legoman1092: - WP:DEADREF says to "not delete a citation merely because the URL is not working. Dead links should be repaired or replaced if possible". I've run IAbot on the Spider-Man games to archive links. You also removed magazine refs with dead links - this is inappropriate as including a URL in magazine refs is optional, and just helps with WP:SOURCEACCESS and verifiability, just as a book may be cited without linking to the full text. Please see WP:BURDEN, which says that "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material" - adding citation needed is generally done for existing content, not added in the same edit as the unsourced content. The credits themselves can be cited, but this is a primary source; a secondary source such as BTVA is preferable, partially since it's easier to verify. I don't think this needs to be sourced, as there is a massive "made with Unity" logo which appears every time you start the game. Why are you preventing documentation of Toy Tinker Introduction?

Hey. So, can you explain to me WHY we cann't mention the "From all of us to all of you"'s introduction to Toy Tinkers in the Toy Tinker article? Is it that you doubt the existence? Or that this is not cannonical material from the original release? Or is it that somebody may have forged these animation segments in the disney style to mis-inform the public? It is hard to document by citations, but there's no doubt that this animation exists -- we can all see it online. And we can all see that it was cut by Disney to be part of Toy Tinkers at one point. The different versions available on-line from different sources are evidence that forging the clips would have been expensive. And the clips are entirely benign -- even if they are forgeries, they are entertaining and something to be enjoyed. You reversed the first versions because there were no citations. You reversed the next versions because the citations were low-class. Nobody has written a PhD dissertation on the different versions of Toy Tinkers, so there is clearly no "authoratative" source out there. Any better ones somebody finds are welcome! But those citations don't really have any relevance to the facts of the matter. We can all see for ourselves that this material exists, and is relevant to the page. What language should we use to communicate to the readers that there is this other version of the short that contains material they may not already know about and may enjoy? Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Edits

Hello there. I noticed you reverted my edit on the LSW: The Complete Saga page, claiming that the edit was unsourced. However, I don't necessarily believe the reversion was completely warranted, since I was only elaborating a little bit more on the addition of the Bounty Hunter Pursuit level in Episode II, acknowledging the fact that Episode II only had five levels in Lego Star Wars: The Video Game as opposed to the other movies which all had six levels initially.

I made the edit since I played the Lego Star Wars games passionately, and just thought that adding slightly more detail to compare how Complete Saga differs from its predecessors would make sense, not to extensively and exhaustingly list every single difference though. I understand that sources are needed at certain points on the page (such as how many copies were sold, how high the game's ratings were, etc...), but my edit was merely adding what's (in my humble opinion), general knowledge of the games.

If you read this, I hope you will understand where I'm coming from and take my thoughts into consideration. I most certainly want to make good contributions to the various pages, while also avoiding being toxic and disruptive. This is why I'm addressing this here. Thanks. I didn't want to remove another users external link, as I wanted to give them a chance to make an update.

For example the page - The Funky Phantom.

There is a broken link in the external link section, I made an update, with update information that the broken link was providing, you removed mine, but not the one that takes you to a 404 page. There are others too - so because you removed mine and not the 404s or broken or dead links.

Hello.

I’m one of the reasonable editors for Wikipedia and looking for true sources. Sometimes I correct mistakes and I would never vandalize this site at all. Most of the IMDb sources on the Years in Animation pages were there before me (I’m a big fan of art and I’m an artist). I’ve noticed the unsigned user 213.45.140.31 has victimized these pages and seriously, I cannot stand such vandalism on Wikipedia at all. @104.235.72.114: - The article doesn't mention anything about being badly rated on steam, a source other than steam itself would be needed to verify that it is "the worst rated game on steam", as steam reviews are WP:USERGENERATED - it would have to be discussed in a reliable source. My source for Jeff Bergman are the ending credits of the Animaniacs reboot episode itself, the second episode of the first season, he is explicitly named in the cast list. The credits for the episode itself isn't a great source, but can be cited using Template:Cite episode. A source other than the episode credits themselves would be better, for easier verifiability. I changed on two pages, but ran into a problem: there is no reliable source at all that would mention the second author (Carl Johnson) of this game. The only thing left is to write only in the reference: "See the credits in the game" (in the settings). Is that allowed?

@Kolya Muratov: - Video games can be cited using Template:Cite video game, but if every reliable source gives Rhianna Pratchett as the writer, I don't think Carl Johnson should be mentioned. In general a lot more people worked on the games than are credited in the infobox, but we don't list all of them, only those listed in reliable sources/the lead contributors - Template:Infobox video game says that the writer section is for listing "The popular names of the video game writers". But I would at least then clarify Rhianna as "co-writer" in brackets in the infobox, as I think it's important (this is as important as specifying a second primary developer, if any) - Carl Johnson is the one listed first in the game's credits! GameSpot, a reliable source, says that Rihanna is one of the writers. This can also be mentioned in the article (under Development). Is there an objection? Hi,

You have just undone my edit on Make Way for Noddy. I can assure you this new information is correct - straight from the horse's mouth. I can understand your point, but I have a photo of the email which I will share with you, but I cannot work out how to upload it here for you to see. I have just made an account and all my edits have previously been made without one.

Email 1 is the initial response, Email 2 is when I asked for clarification when Edward Chun took over the role as Noddy (he never voiced in the TV series) and I was just about to add that to the page when I noticed you undid it. I have been working on collecting this information for a very long time now because I knew a lot of the voices were not Ben Small as always presumed - I didn't realise how big the UK cast actually was though!

For verifibility, reliable sources need to be cited - a note on Wikipedia:Verifiability summarizes this well as "the threshold for inclusion is verifiability, not truth" - even if what is in the emails is accurate, it shouldn't be on the article unless reliable sources are found as we go by what reliable sources say. I have proof that these people mentioned in the email DID work on the show via the credits of a Special where they are all credited (we previously didn't know who they voiced).

@EdwardBohan89: - Screenshots on Google Drive isn't a reliable source, and in that screenshot it doesn't specify what roles the voice actors worked on, and thus doesn't really verify anything, especially as those voice actors may have only worked on Noddy's Island Adventure and nothing else. I know Google Drive screenshots aren't reliable sources, I was just using it to show you personally (I wasn't going to link it on the page or anything). I'm sure you can find the special in full somewhere on YouTube or a streaming service where it would be the same. But where's the source for Ben Small having voiced all those characters then? There may be proof that he worked on the show, but it's never been confirmed who he voiced. So surely, that shouldn't be on the page either then? As for Island Adventure, it's extremely unlikely they would re-cast entirely for a special. The voices are the same as the TV show, it's evident when you watch the thing.

See what I don't understand is this: it's not uncommon for cast to be uncredited in animation, so what about old cartoons and such? If there's not on-screen credit, going by what you're saying (or rather Wikipedia guidelines), we wouldn't have information on any show with uncredited actors? Nor on shows where voice talent are not listed alongside the characters they play. It all comes from people like me (I'm a historian of children's television) that track down original cast and crew members and get the information straight from the horse's mouth - that's been happening all the time. Any material lacking an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source" - any unsourced roles on the page for Make Way for Noddy may be challenged and removed. Uncredited roles absolutely require a source. For further insight regarding sourcing, I recommend asking at the WP:TEAHOUSE or reading Help:Referencing for beginners. I got two pieces of evidence that confirms it. In the credits of the short, James Baxter appears in the animation part and there’s pdf that i’ll link that has a selection that is dedicated to returning disney animators and James Baxter was one of them.

Rosamund Pike Audiobook References

Hi there, I'm the person who added the list of audiobooks narrated by Rosamund Pike to her Filmography. I have added all the books narrated by her that are available on Audible as I have noticed her article is until now only providing information about 4 of these narrations. However I am unsure of how to reference each of these books besides adding the ISBN, as most of these audiobooks are available via Amazon/Audible and linking 12 different products as references in the article seemed to be less than ideal.

I have tried to find a help page that deals with referencing this type of work specifically but I haven't found one that can properly help. I used Stephen Fry's page as a reference on how to handle audiobook credits and it seemed like adding the ISBN would be enough. I had the idea of adding the Amazon Standard Identification Number to reference the audiobook directly but on the Template page for book sources it said only to use ASIN if no standard identifier is available and figured the ISBN would be preferred. @83.252.83.44: - I recommend asking about this at the WP:TEAHOUSE, as they would be more helpful with this than me. I reverted your edit as I spot checked the ISBNs and a lot of them appear to not be for audiobooks, but rather other editions of the same book - in the case of Pride and Prejudice, 9798565411881 takes me to this listing on Amazon, and online databases Librarything and Worldcat give me no results, and the audiobook on the Amazon listing is narrated by somebody else, but I was able to find coverage for the version narrated by her here from Glamour. My understanding is that ISBNs can be used as a source in of themselves, but the ISBNs added in the edit don't all lead to the correct edition narrated by her - the Audible edition she narrated only seems to have an ASIN rather than an ISBN, and I think a proper citation would be better in that case. I suggest reading Help:Referencing for beginners for help with citing sources.

For each audiobook, I recommend searching the name of the book followed by "Rosamund Pike" in quotes to narrow the search results to only results mentioning her, finding sources for the older audiobooks will likely be more difficult. Looking up The Dragon Reborn "Rosamund Pike" I found this article from Collider which would be a good source for her narrating The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn. I don't believe that every single line in a list of an actor's film and TV work is "material challenged or likely to be challenged" and are certainly *NOT* quotations! Your deletion of info I added which is easily verifiable by many sources does *NOT* require source citations, which would only cause bloat! Please rein in your overzealous material deletions. I was feeling great as I finished watching Amy's newest Hallmark movie, and was happy to be the first to add it to her and Stephanie Sy's pages, but you've killed that simple joy. Note that the other 23 film and TV entries on Amy's page have no sources cited... like nearly ALL other Wikipedia pages. Please delete ALL of the rest of the entries on her page and ALL other entries on ALL similar pages, or VERIFY ALL OF THEM! Should I save you some time by "challenging" and deleting every single non-cited item I can find on a few hundred pages today, on your behalf? You're actually forcing page bloat by adding hundreds if not thousands of unnecessary characters to every page, which increases Wikipedia's storage requirements, bandwidth and related expenses! That's why the guidance says that not every single entry requires a source citation!!! Wikipedia is already hurting for money, and I am a regular donation contributor, but you're deliberately adding to their costs! You obviously have plenty of extra time on your hands to delete hundreds of entries on a routine basis (I've seen the comments) and it's overzealous unreasonable people like you that make it harder and more time-consuming for people to add content to pages. 'Archive-date' is correct in that it is the date it was archived on Archive.org, but 'date' should be the date the source was published. 'ITMEDIA' should also be in the 'website=' section.
