Haysimo (Somali: Xaysimo, Arabic: حايسمو) is a newly appointed province in self-declared Somaliland. Before its formation in mid 2014, the Haysimo territory was part of the Sool region.[2] The capital of the region is historic town of Taleh. The region also consists of Sarmanyo, Godaalo, Halin, Arroley and Shahda distticts.

The region is mainly inhabited by people from the Somali ethnic group, with the Dhulbahante and Kaskiiqabe subdivision of the Harti Darod especially well represented.
