May 2021[edit]

  1. Cousin Sarah: nominated at AfD; notified JenniferTK (talk · contribs) 02:47, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I can't find evidence on IMDB that there is any film by this name or any film that stars the actors listed here in the cast that goes by a different name. The only references online I see are sites that seem to be lifting Wikipedia's article as a description. This article was PROD'd but dePROD'd as it was previously deleted by a PROD 11 years ago.

June 2021[edit]

  1. SadGranth Sahib: nominated at AfD; notified TewariKamal (talk · contribs) 01:40, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This entry reads more like Sikh theology than an encyclopedic article. I went to see if editors at WikiProject Sikhism could help with it but that project is inactive.
  2. Miss and Mister Supranational: nominated at AfD; notified GRuban (talk · contribs) 00:34, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I tagged this article CSD as a recreation of a deleted article (see the many AFDs at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miss Supranational (2nd nomination) but was challenged by the page creator that it was significantly different. But given the fact that the subject has come to AFD so many times, I'd like to get a consensus decision from AFD regulars on whether the article should be deleted or if this subject now warrants an article.
  3. Jew killer: nominated at RfD; Target: Adolf Hitler (notified); notified FizzoXD (talk · contribs) 02:30, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This seems like an unlikely search term and is inappropriate.
  4. Semen Hitler: nominated at AfD; notified Penii (talk · contribs) 01:33, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think having a strange name is a good enough reason for a WIkipedia article. It doesn't help that the main source states that his first name is "Semyon", not "Semen" so I question the total accuracy of this article. Written by an editor (Penii) who edits articles regarding penis torture so that might be a factor in the name change. There are some copyright issues with this piece, too.
  5. Denver Wolverines: nominated at RfD; Target: USA Rugby League (notified); notified Youndbuckerz (talk · contribs) 00:20, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm posting this RFD for C87d98b10. His rationale for this redirect deletion is: "my rationale is that the team in question was proposed (at least according to the original article) to be a development team for an amateur league a decade ago that never materialised. It basically never went any further than an idea as far as it's possible to tell. It was only redirected to the USARL article on the basis that this article had a mention of it, but I had to remove this as the source provided was a deadlink and I was unable to locate any other RS's to verify that this club even existed as an idea and isn't pure OR. I hope that helps, many thanks for your assistance.
:::Same rationale for Seattle Force, Dallas Dragons, Orange County Outlaws and Houston Hornets, which have all been de-PRODed by another user. c87d98b10"
  6. Category:2021 storming of the United States Capitol: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:2021 United States Capitol attack; notified Pokelova (talk · contribs) 17:26, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This category was moved out-of-process to this new title, an action I reverted but since the main article is now titled 2021 United States Capitol attack, I thought I'd officially propose this move to see if there is a consensus to move the category as well.
  7. Template:Uw-ani: nominated at TfD; notified Anonymous Dissident (talk · contribs) 04:36, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: While this has the potential to be a useful template, I think this 14 year old template is unknown and unused in recent years.

July 2021[edit]

  1. Template:US Alternative Albums: nominated at TfD; notified DetoFr (talk · contribs) 16:13, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
  2. Joey Diggs: nominated at RfD; Target: Always Coca-Cola (notified); notified UserTwoSix (talk · contribs) 02:42, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I can't find any reference of "Joey Diggs" to Coca-Cola or anything else and this is also a double redirect.
  3. Stinky crack: nominated at RfD; Target: Anal hygiene (notified); notified UserTwoSix (talk · contribs) 02:59, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think this is a likely search term on Wikipedia.
  4. Billy Cosby: nominated at RfD; Target: Bill Cosby (notified); notified UserTwoSix (talk · contribs) 06:06, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't believe that anyone refers to Bill Cosby as "Billy" or would search for him under this name.
  5. Upper crack: nominated at RfD; Target: Intergluteal cleft (notified); notified UserTwoSix (talk · contribs) 06:09, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think a buttcrack is separated into an upper, middle and lower crack. I'm not sure human biology supports this division of anatomy or if anyone would search Wikipedia for "Upper crack".
  6. Man cream: nominated at RfD; Target: Semen (notified); notified UserTwoSix (talk · contribs) 06:13, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Granted I haven't checked the Urban Dictionary but I don't think any reader will search for Semen under "Man cream".
  7. Amity International, Noida: nominated at AfD; notified Unitedroad (talk · contribs) 23:30, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced, non-notable school. This article had substantially more content that was removed because it was promotional. This change didn't leave much more than a description of the function of different buildings.
  8. Category:LGBT Roman Catholic bishops: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Natemup (talk · contribs) 03:05, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: A category full of original research and speculation. It is doubtful whether all of the bishops in this category identify as gay or bisexual, especially those from centuries ago.
  9. Template:NoEdits: nominated at TfD; notified Template1011 (talk · contribs) 01:57, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This template was plastered on dozens of pages. It is very visible and detracts from the readability of articles.
  10. Wikipedia:WikiProject Carnival: nominated at MfD; notified Martian-2008 (talk · contribs) 00:01, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is not just an inactive WikiProject but the creation of a sockpuppeteer who was only active for one month on Wikipedia. It did no article assessments or have any associated pages under this WikiProject. It does have 3 associated templates/userboxes which I'd also propose be deleted.
  11. Template:WikiProject Bull riding: nominated at TfD; notified Kyerjay (talk · contribs) 05:04, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a template for a defunct WikiProject, Wikipedia:WikiProject Rodeo/Bull riding is literally a blank page, no articles were assessed and this template serves no function.
In the future should pages like this be speedied as an uncontroversial deletion or does it warrant discussion?
  12. Wikipedia:1MT: nominated at MfD; notified Alsee (talk · contribs) 03:04, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I've been on Wikipedia for 8 years now and I've never heard of a "One Month Test" and don't understand why this would be abbreviated to "1MT". It's unlikely that anyone would stumble upon this page as it is only linked to from one archived talk page and Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia essays/Assessment/Links so I don't think it is serving any purpose.
  13. Wikipedia:WikiProject Geography of the United Arab Emirates: nominated at MfD; notified Mar4d (talk · contribs) 05:07, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: It looks like this WIkiProject never got off the ground, it only contains a Version 1.0 bot report.

August 2021[edit]

  1. Wikipedia:WikiProject Eritrea/History and politics: nominated at MfD; notified RainbowSilver2ndBackup (talk · contribs) 04:25, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is apparently a WikiProject task force page but the only edit to the page was to create it so I don't believe there is any support for this task force. It also has no talk page which is another sign of inactivity.
  2. Wikipedia:GQ: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia:WikiProject Equatorial Guinea (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 03:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: GQ is not an abbreviation for Equatorial Guinea that I am aware of. Editor who created this redirect then went to this WikiProject and added it as an WikiProject abbreviation which seems backwards to me.
  3. Wikipedia:KI: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia:WikiProject Kiribati (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 03:39, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Similar to Equatorial Guinea, this redirect was created and then added to the WIkiProject as an abbreviation. I think this is unnecessary for little visited WikiProjects like this one.
  4. Wikipedia:MZ: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mozambique (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 03:41, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This WikiProject has an existing abbreviation (WP:MOZ) and doesn't really need another.
  5. Wikipedia:Q28: nominated at RfD; Target: User:Q28 (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 03:57, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Individual editors don't need redirects from project space to their user account page.
  6. Wikipedia:FH: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia:Fordham (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 04:04, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: One final nomination, I don't believe this project page, that contains details about Wikipedia workshops at Fordham University that occurred several years ago, warrants a redirect. I doubt that any reader will be looking for this internal information page or use a redirect to locate it. Not every page needs a redirect especially in project space.

September 2021[edit]

  1. Tex Brown: nominated at AfD; notified Werldwayd (talk · contribs) 02:43, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was tagged as a hoax but apparently existed but the only sources I could find for this TV show are blogs and IMDb and concern how shabby and unprofessional the production team was. I think it doesn't meet our notability standards. Existing isn't enough.
  2. Nirmalya Sengupta: nominated at AfD; notified Kalapaharindia (talk · contribs) 18:51, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This new article, which has received 114 edits in the 24 hours that it has existed, is full of BLP-violating claims that get put in and taken out. I've checked some of the sources through Google translation and they don't support the statements. I'm not sure that notability is established here, aside from the crime complaints, but it's clear that this article is the result of a news story or a discussion on social media. Given the flurry of activity, the article will probably undergo a lot of changes during the period of this AFD discussion and I'm hoping someone more familiar with Indian online sources can discern if there is anything here that should be retained. Thanks.
  3. Wikipedia:Silly things/Sir Jimmy Wikipedia: nominated at MfD; notified Huff slush7264 (talk · contribs) 01:21, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I like humorous pages and have argued for several to be kept. But this isn't humorous, it's just dumb and it was created by sockpuppeteer User:Huff slush7264 who has stated he was a minor when he created his accounts. I really don't think it adds anything positive to the project and I think deleting it would actually make our editors smarter.
  4. Sham marriage in the United Kingdom: nominated at AfD; notified DinosaursLoveExistence (talk · contribs) 19:23, 21 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: We don't have articles on sham marriage in other countries and I don't see anything in this article that makes the situation in the UK look unusual enough to warrant a separate article from Sham marriage. The argument for the first AfD still holds, I think the Delete/Merge arguments were stronger and this article has not been greatly improved in the 2+ years since the last AfD. Finally, 2 of the 3 "Keep" votes (User:E.M.Gregory and User:A.Jacobin) in the first AfD were sockpuppets and so I'd like to see if there is sufficient support now to keep this article.
  5. Dazza Chesty: nominated at RfD; Target: Darren Chester (notified); notified Donnellan0007 (talk · contribs) 00:10, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I did a quick search and didn't find any mentions of this person by this nickname and it isn't mentioned in the article.
  6. Category:MISSION 33 Templates: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified MISSION 33 (talk · contribs) 01:39, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: New editor has set up categories for themselves. I'm not sure if there is a CSD criteria that fits this situation.
  7. Category:MISSION 33: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified MISSION 33 (talk · contribs) 01:40, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

  8. Futha Mucka: nominated at RfD; Target: Samuel L. Jackson (notified); notified Computermusic1999 (talk · contribs) 21:53, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Granted I haven't seen every Samuel L. Jackson movie and I do know he swears many of them, this doesn't seem like a plausible search term if someone comes to Wikipedia, looking for the Samuel L. Jackson article.

October 2021[edit]

  1. Holy ejaculation: nominated at RfD; Target: Ejaculatory prayer (notified); notified Bruhpedia (talk · contribs) 22:20, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page was speedy deleted as an R3 because I thought it was a misnomer or vandalism but Uanfala appealed the deletion and a discussion ensued my talk pages. Although Uanfala had a link to some uses of the term, it seems to be archaic to me. In considering this request, ask yourselves if "ejaculation" is ever used in a religious sense in the 21st century. I don't think we'll have any Puritans searching Wikipedia.
  2. Extreme Obscenity: nominated at AfD; notified D97931478 (talk · contribs) 02:57, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I couldn't find usage of "Extreme Obscenity" online, and there isn't much in this article that distinguishes "Extreme Obscenity" from regular, old "Obscenity". I think this article should be deleted or redirected to Obscenity.
  3. Template:Apeejay Schools: nominated at TfD; notified Rait (talk · contribs) 21:43, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is an unused template now. All of the schools listed are long-standing red links or are articles that were recently deleted through PRODS.
  4. Template:Al-Ameen educational institutes: nominated at TfD; notified Muhammad Mahdi Karim (talk · contribs) 19:56, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: All listings on this template were PROD'd and deleted. Template no longer used on any articles.

  1. Category:Wikipedians who loves noodles: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Richard M William (talk · contribs) 21:40, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this is destined to be a small category and I don't see how it serves uniting editors on Wikipedia. Better as a userbox than category.
  2. Category:Wikipedians who use Acer laptop: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Richard M William (talk · contribs) 21:44, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't believe we categorize editors by the brand of computer they use. At least, when I looked for other similar categories, I couldn't find them.
  3. David Radosavljević: nominated at AfD; notified Serbiawiki (talk · contribs) 23:50, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I haven't read the Serbian sources but placing 5th in a national reality show doesn't demonstrate notability expected for musicians on Wikipedia.
  4. Kontol: nominated at RfD; Target: Penis (notified); notified Beezanteeum (talk · contribs) 05:19, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: An editor tagged this for speedy deletion, explaining that this was Indonesian slang for "penis". This isn't a valid CSD criteria but I thought I'd send it to RFD to see if this was a valid argument for deletion. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 05:19, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
  5. Ervin Fodor: nominated at AfD; notified Joanna Monsoon (talk · contribs) 00:49, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm tagging this article for an AFD deletion discussion because two editors, one a created account and the other an IP, have asked for this article to be deleted through speedy deletion and through a PROD, stating that it contains incorrect information and also that they do not want an article on Wikipedia. The identity of these accounts has not been confirmed but I thought I'd bring the issue to AFD to see if there is a good argument for keeping this article should the subject wish to see it deleted. This isn't a typical AFD rationale but in 8 years I've only encountered a subject asking for article deletion 2 or 5 times before so I think it's worth considering the request.
  6. Hayweauhdfkjakdahakhaya: nominated at RfD; Target: Kirby (series) (notified); notified Sima Yi (talk · contribs) 04:07, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect was tagged for speedy deletion as nonsense, which it seems to be, but since it has existed since 2008, I thought it deserved to go to RFD in case any editor could understand why it was created and has not been deleted in 13 years. I couldn't find any reference to "Hayweauhdfkjakdahakhaya" on the target article or anywhere on Wikipedia.
  7. Fred Scarf: nominated at AfD; notified Alwaysjoykiller (talk · contribs) 01:26, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm not sure what is the least impressive about this individual, his career as an entrepreneur, philanthropist or phone sex operator. While he seems to have received some coverage, I don't think he reaches Wikipedia's standards for notability.
  8. Category:48 Hrs.: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Batrocfrogg (talk · contribs) 22:54, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think that the 48 Hrs. film could be considered big enough of a franchise to warrant its own category. Liz Read! Talk! 22:54, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
  9. Yang Xiu (Sui dynasty): nominated at AfD; notified Nlu (talk · contribs) 03:39, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this article because it was unsourced. Now, a few sources have been added to the bottom of the page but the content of the article is unverified and could be original research for all anyone can tell. It makes a lot of historical claims and tells detailed stories without any evidence of its accuracy.

  1. Category:Coast to coast highways: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Kaydenuy (talk · contribs) 02:54, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: It seems like this category's title is vague and should specify if it is for the United States or all countries. But I'm asking for deletion as I can't see this as a potential new branch in our coverage of roads and highways.
  2. Category:Cat People: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Batrocfrogg (talk · contribs) 02:10, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This category either should be deleted or the title changed to something that explains what "Cat People" are or who they are. Is this a franchise? Is this about thematic content? We don't have categories for films that have similar names. Liz Read! Talk! 02:10, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

  7. Nick Hodge: nominated at AfD; notified Jfreiert (talk · contribs) 00:48, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this article and the tag was removed so I'm nominating this page for deletion. This is a financial adviser who has done some writing, which they all do, and published some books but hundreds of business books are published every year. I don't think that he is particularly notable except for those who subscribe to his newsletter.
  8. Hossein Tabrizi: nominated at AfD; notified Mehdi torabi2 (talk · contribs) 00:58, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I admittedly do not read Persian but from what I can see, these references are generally passing mentions that do not establish notability. I had PROD'd this article but the tag was removed by the article creator. In my BEFORE search, I only came across other individuals named Hossein Tabrizi, not this film director.
  9. Wikipedia:YELL: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia:Assume good faith (notified); notified MoonlightVector (talk · contribs) 22:19, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: As far as I can see, this page has only be referred to once but it's strange because it occurred in 2013 and this page was only created in October 2021. I don't think it is known to be a redirect or what the connection is between yelling and assuming good faith.
  10. Khaled El-Ahmad: nominated at AfD; notified Knotarlly (talk · contribs) 18:59, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this article because I don't believe this "digital marketer, social media influencer and reputation management expert" has SIGCOV but the tag was removed so I'm initiating this deletion discussion. Usually folks in this field have published a few books that might have some coverage but that is not true in this case.
  11. Nate Nehring: nominated at AfD; notified TrufForEveryone (talk · contribs) 19:03, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Apparently, a previous version of this article was deleted by PROD so the new version is ineligible to be deleted by proposed deletion. I don't believe Nehring meets WP:NPOL for notability which primary rests on the fact that he was very young when he was elected to a country council seat in Washington state.
  12. Memes about Greta Thunberg: nominated at RfD; Target: Greta Thunberg (notified); notified Kympubs (talk · contribs) 17:12, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is a lot of information in this article about the public response to Thunberg but there is no mention of "memes" about her on this encyclopedia. This may be a misleading redirect. I'm sure there are other words that better capture the response in art, politics and social media.
  13. Jose Ortiz El Samaritano: nominated at AfD; notified Jimmie.johnson37 (talk · contribs) 02:57, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: In my search online, I mainly found social media sources of information and user-generated sites, not newspaper articles and nothing indepth. We don't have a notability standard for astrologers and psychics but I'm surprised this article has been around for 7 years because there is really nothing here.

  1. Penpals (band): nominated at AfD; notified Hindijux (talk · contribs) 02:08, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: As far as I can tell, the only feature of this group that meets WP:NMUSIC is the composition of a 1:15 minute long theme song for a 24 year-old anime Berserk (1997 TV series). This act doesn't seem like enough to warrant a Wikipedia article but maybe AFD regulars who review deletion discussions about musical groups can assure me that this accomplishment does make them notable.

  1. So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right: nominated at RfD; Target: When the Pawn... (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 20:40, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think this redirect will be used or is useful especially since So when you go solo, you hold your own hand already exists. The chances that a reader will search for this entire 45 word phrase when a shorter version will immediately pop up is doubtful. Liz Read! Talk! 20:40, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
  2. The Boy Bands Have Won, and All the Copyists and the Tribute Bands and the TV Talent Show Producers Have Won: nominated at RfD; Target: The Boy Bands Have Won (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 20:46, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Another overly long redirect title page that leads to the much shorter and more likely search term that is the actual title of the page. I think it is unlikely for the longer phrase will be typed in a search bar when the article title will pop up after the first 5 words. Liz Read! Talk! 20:46, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
  3. $ $: nominated at RfD; Target: List of emoticons (notified); notified Q28 (talk · contribs) 20:49, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Neither "$$" or "$ $" are listed at the target page. On the other hand, $ is a redirect to Dollar sign which is logical target. I don't know what readers looking for a double dollar sign would be looking for but they won't find it at List of emoticons. Liz Read! Talk! 20:49, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
  4. Govno: nominated at RfD; Target: Mat (Russian profanity) (notified); notified Ethanbas (talk · contribs) 01:17, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page was tagged for speedy deletion under "unspecified criteria" but I thought it best to send it to RFD. The reasoning was "The word "govno" is not discussed is this article, and it's NOT a russian mat word". I'm not sure what "mat" refers to but it is true that Govno is not mentioned at the target article.
  5. James Herndon (media psychologist): nominated at AfD; notified Artnouveau (talk · contribs) 20:57, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: First PROD'd in 2006 for failing to meet standards of notability and being promotional, I think this "contributing faculty member" (I'm not sure what that means) fails both WP:PROF and WP:AUTHOR. In a search, I found other James Herndons more notable than him and even searches for "James N. Herndon" turned up more mentions for a dentist by this name than for this media psychologist.

  8. Category:Dictator: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Editor in Myanmar (talk · contribs) 06:27, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Vague and subjective designation of a political leader. Seems to be the same articles classified under Category:Burmese Dictators which is redundant.
  9. Sheyla Hershey: nominated at AfD; notified Kiwipat (talk · contribs) 04:58, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this article but found it had already been PROD'd and deleted before but was eventually recreated. My PROD rationale was "Non-notable actress, sources cover her health issues with breast implants, not her career. At best, a cautionary tale about extreme breast surgery."
AFDs require more than a PROD rationale does so I'll just say that Hershey doesn't meet WP:NACTOR standards.
  10. Noguera Ribagorzana/Noguera Ribagorçana: nominated at RfD; Target: Noguera Ribagorçana (notified); notified FarSouthNavy (talk · contribs) 21:21, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is an overly complicated redirect that I believe is left over from a page move. No pages link to this page so there would not be any link corrections if this page was deleted.

March 2022[edit]

  1. Sergio Michel: nominated at AfD; notified Koustave (talk · contribs) 20:05, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I came across this article because of a lot of recent BLP vandalism to it and was struck by the fact that this guitarist doesn't meet WP:NMUSIC, at least from what I can see. Looking for sources, I found this and this, neither of which are cited in the article and I don't know if they are sufficient to establish notability for this musician since they don't focus, in depth, on his musical skills or performance. Other sites had just passing mentions, were details about tour dates or were social media accounts.
Previous AFDs resulted in "Delete" and "No consensus" decisions and the last was in 2017 so I wanted to see what the current opinion was on the notability of this artist. Liz Read! Talk! 20:05, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
  2. Second War of Ukrainian Independence: nominated at RfD; Target: 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine (notified); notified Scooteristi (talk · contribs) 04:10, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This was tagged for speedy deletion CSD R3 but I thought it was better to discuss whether this redirect is appropriate than judge it as a "misnomer".
  3. Elijah Long: nominated at AfD; notified Nicolerodriguesdubai (talk · contribs) 04:22, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Like another AFD candidate, Jeff Gum (actor), Long was "Executive Producer" for both Rambo: Last Blood (24 Executive Producers) and Tesla (2020 film) (14 Executive Producers) and the page creator of this article (with 27 edits) has also voiced a Keep vote at the Jeff Gum AFD. I'm sensing both paid editing and some sockpuppetry but the bottom line is that I don't think Long meets WP:CREATIVE or WP:AUTHOR. And I should probably file an SPI, too.
  4. Mark Mathis: nominated at AfD; notified Paper45tee (talk · contribs) 19:00, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: A producer notable because of one controversial film (of which he was an associate producer) and I think the article for the movie is sufficient. References are either passing mentions, don't mention him at all or are dead links. As a whole, not a notable career as an activist, film producer, DJ or media consultant, worthy of his own article on Wikipedia.
  5. Ukraine Is Not Yet Dead: nominated at RfD; Target: Shche ne vmerla Ukrainy i slava, i volia (notified); notified Amitchell125 (talk · contribs) 02:43, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page was tagged as an implausible redirect and it is the translated title of a national anthem. I thought the editors at WP:RFD would be the best judges of whether it was indeed implausible. Thank you.
  6. IShowSpeed: nominated at AfD; notified WaddlesJP13 (talk · contribs) 00:04, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page was tagged CSD G7 by an IP editor and the page creator protested, asking for it to be taken to AFD instead so I'm obliging them. I don't think this article has WP:SIGCOV for this person though I think that is common with streamers, especially the numerous teenage streamers. He is mentioned as being a "rapper" but there is no information in the article about any music produced or released by him so I guess he is an amateur rapper. This article probably should have started as a Draft and gone through AFC review but here we are.
  7. Psychological operations (Russia): nominated at AfD; notified Pavlo1 (talk · contribs) 01:46, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Almost unsourced, seems to violate Wikipedia:No original research completely. Translated but without the additional sources of that article. Moved to Draft space where it could be worked on but moved back to main space, I think prematurely. Liz Read! Talk! 01:46, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Dear Liz, "Translated but without the additional sources of that article" - it is original research? Little deceiver You could transfer the sources from the original article yourself. Are you aware of the template's existence? I will transfer them, but later. Now it is inconvenient to do this - I am in a bomb shelter, we are being bombed. 8. -2 (number): nominated at RfD; Target: 2 (notified); notified Xayahrainie43 (talk · contribs) 00:50, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect was tagged with a speedy deletion tag with no valid criteria offered. So I untagged it but I also question the usefulness of this redirect so I thought I'd send it to RFD for evaluation, if you can see a reason for its presence on Wikipedia.
  9. Bibliography of psychology: nominated at AfD; notified APH (talk · contribs) 17:48, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Over 18 years, this list has been expanded and recently gutted of most of its content. But, looking at the talk page, the criteria of what should be included here has always been sketchy and I don't see the page fulfilling the content guidelines described at Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists. This is a decent subject for Wikipedia to cover but even if some editor or some WikiProject wants to take it on as a project, it might be better to start from scratch. Right now, it promises information that it doesn't deliver and its presence on Wikipedia is not a positive.
  10. Kyle McMahon: nominated at AfD; notified FrankNSteinJr (talk · contribs) 23:02, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Lots of weak references that I don't think add up to WP:BASIC. Being a guest on a show that won an Emmy is not the same as winning the Emmy. He touts himself as a musician but I aside from joining a band on tour, I don't know what his musical skills are. His main claim to fame now seems to be as a podcaster but his bio is really all over the map, with periodic columns on websites and listed "appearances" which I don't think can establish notability. I guessed at what categories to assign for deletion sorting as he mainly seems to be known for being known.

  3. Category:Religious buildings by constituent entities of the Russian Federation: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Boxes12 (talk · contribs) 01:18, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm hoping the regulars here know whether or not Wikipedia categorizes according to "by constituent entities of the Russian Federation". In my quick search, I could only find this phrasing on 5 categories created today by editor User:Boxes12. If there is another appropriate category, this category could be merged. Liz Read! • Reason: To me, the way this is worded makes it look like these are symbols of "AFD Hate". These are symbols designated as hate symbols by the AFD but are not "AFD hate symbols". I know that redirects can be abbreviations of phrases but I think this one is misleading.
  2. Robert W. McGee: nominated at AfD; notified BlackAmerican (talk · contribs) 02:44, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: A new editor tagged this article for speedy deletion as "vandalism". I removed the CSD tag and thought it was better to consider this article at AFD. It is so superlative (a novelist! a professor! a champion martial artist!) that it reads like a hoax article. I found evidence of his academic articles that have been published but nothing about the 900 gold medals he has supposedly earned. If it matters, much of this same content is repeated in his Amazon profile. It's unusual for an academic bio to be such an over-the-top exaggeration, I mean, it sounds like there is a super hero teaching at Fayetteville State University.
  3. Tom k musau: nominated at RfD; Target: Raila Odinga (notified); notified Postcard Cathy (talk · contribs) 22:57, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect was originally pointing to Tom K. Musau but somehow, through a series of page moves, it has become targeted to Raila Odinga, a politician and businessman with no connection to Musau. Tom K. Musau was deleted through a PROD and this redirect should have been deleted but because its target had been changed, it wasn't deleted and now needs to go to RFD to reaffirm that there is no connection between the redirect subject and the target article. Thank you.
  4. Mammoth TV special: nominated at AfD; notified Djrory (talk · contribs) 22:21, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I thought this was a hoax article but apparently, it is a television show that has an outlandish premise and very little coverage. It was PROD'd, which I'd expect these days, but was de-PROD and so I'm bringing this to AFD to see if any program that airs on a television network is notable enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia.
  5. Template:Ferris Bueller's Day Off: nominated at TfD; notified Telugu Telugu (talk · contribs) 22:42, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one movie, not a movie franchise and an unsuccessful TV series was attempted. Many of the links here are to lists of episodes of other TV shows that have allusions to this film or no connection at all to this film. I don't think this template serves a needed purpose or is likely to be used on many pages.

June 2022[edit]

  1. Gurdwara Bibi Veero Sahib: nominated at AfD; notified Jamiebuba (talk · contribs) 01:34, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This unsourced article was moved to Draft space and recreated it main space. It was PROD'd and de-PROD'd so I guess AFD is the next step for this local "holy place".
  2. Wikipedia:American Heritage Dictionary representation: nominated at RfD; Target: Phonetic notation of the American Heritage Dictionary (notified); notified Nardog (talk · contribs) 13:45, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect is the result of a page move discussed at MfD here. It was discussed previously at this RfD five years ago. It was kept because of concern about existing links to this project page but the ones that exist now are from archived User or MOS talk pages or from pages that track cross-namespace redirects. Since the MFD, the target page, Phonetic notation of the American Heritage Dictionary, has had several other moves so I think whatever rationale existed in 2017 is no longer pertinent. Liz Read! Talk! 13:45, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
  3. Wikipedia:Failing Flesh: nominated at RfD; Target: Eric Forrest (notified); notified Mushroom (talk · contribs) 13:59, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Because of the nature of this page title ("Project: "), this page is also classified as Wikipedia:Failing Flesh which is confusing. The only link to the Project page are from User space. I suggest either deletion or removing the colon from the page title so that this doesn't appear to be a cross-namespace redirect.
  4. Wikipedia:Geouf: nominated at RfD; Target: Geo (microformat) (notified); notified Pigsonthewing (talk · contribs) 14:04, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Another cross-namespace redirect, yes, it has existed for quite a while but the only links to this page are from two User space subpages. And I also can not find the term "Geouf" any where on the target space, as either a word or acronym.
  5. Anthonie Palamedesz.: nominated at RfD; Target: Anthonie Palamedesz (notified) 23:40, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't see the point of this redirect which is just the name of the article with a period at the end. The only link here is from a User page. Its existence would just confuse readers searching for the actual article Anthonie Palamedesz.
  6. Uncle Clarence: nominated at RfD; Target: Clarence Thomas (notified); notified Dippiljemmy (talk · contribs) 22:22, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I was just correcting broken redirects that resulted from vandalism page move of the Clarence Thomas article and came across this one. It is recently created but isn't the result of a mistake, misnomer or typo so I thought I'd bring it to RFD as it seems as inappropriate as moving the Thomas article to a new title that has now been revision deleted from the page.

July 2022[edit]

  1. Shi Hao: nominated at RfD; Target: Posthumous name (notified); notified Ktsquare (talk · contribs) 18:59, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is not a clear connection between "Shi Hao" and Posthumous name as far as I can see by Googling. There is Shi Hao (bobsledder) who is a living person. This mixup caused this page to be tagged as an attack page but I'm sending it to RFD in case there is some connection between the page name and the target that has been missed here. This redirect has existed for quite a few years without challenges so perhaps there is something here that we are not seeing. Thank you.

  1. User:Beaneater00/Sandbox/Dražin barjak: nominated at MfD; notified Beaneater00 (talk · contribs) 00:47, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This user page is an eyesore and has a quote in Serbian that Google translates as "If Draža's flag were flying, there would be no Albania - and there would be Ravne Gora on the three southern Serbian seas!" This apparently is a reference to Draža Mihailović a revolutionary who was executed for treason and war crimes.
While I have a relaxed view on User pages, I think this one is non-neutral and serves no purpose, especially since the editor is a blocked sockmaster. Other userpages have come through MFD and been deleted.

  4. Template:Swimming at the 2009 Maccabiah Games: nominated at TfD; notified NYC2TLV (talk · contribs) 18:16, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

  5. Template:Events at the 2013 Maccabiah Games: nominated at TfD; notified CLalgo (talk · contribs) 21:09, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unused except for on 2013 Maccabiah Games, it is just a collection of redlinks and one article that is likely to be deleted at AFD soon. A recent trend at AFD has been to delete sport specific articles connected to the Maccabiah Games so it is unlikely that these redlinks will become articles in the near future.
  6. User:Polycarpa aurata/Letha Weapons: nominated at MfD; notified Polycarpa aurata (talk · contribs); notified GoldenAgeFan1 (talk · contribs) 02:24, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a complicated story. The article Letha Weapons was deleted via AFD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Letha Weapons. Then it was recreated soon after by Polycarpa aurata. I deleted it as a CSD G4 but it was restored to User space after a Deletion Review. It was then moved to main space where it was again quickly nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Letha Weapons (2nd nomination). In a highly unusual move, the page creator closed the AFD themselves and moved the article back to their User space.
For some reason, GoldenAgeFan1 is listed in the page history as the page creator but they actually nominated this article for deletion in the first AFD. I'm not sure why it's not Polycarpa aurata because they actually wrote this draft. The page history of this page is kind of mixed up with Letha Weapons's as GoldenAgeFan1's AFD shows up in this User space version, not the deleted main space version and the article has been deleted and recreated and moved several times.
The reason why I even nominated this page for MFD consideration though is that Polycarpa aurata was identified as a sockpuppet of World's Lamest Critic. But I don't think this page is eligible for CSD G5 because, technically, GoldenAgeFan1 is listed at the page creator even though they sought to have a previous version of this article deleted. I was going to try to sort this out with GoldenAgeFan1 but they are an inactive editor so I decided to just send this to MFD as is and see what the MFD regulars think. Thank you, in advance, for reviewing this long nomination statement taking the time to review it.

September 2022[edit]

  1. Max Madsen: nominated at AfD; notified Malibu310 (talk · contribs) 23:13, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't meet WP:NACTOR standards. His notability comes from being in a famous family, not his acting. Also, an ongoing problem of article subject editing his own article (which he created) so COI involved here. Originally PROD'd but an IP editor removed the PROD tag.
  2. Kim Klassen: nominated at AfD; notified 216.55.213.203 (talk · contribs) 00:57, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This stub was PROD'd and I de-PROD'd it after seeing in the page history that this article had been subject to a previous VFD (the predecessor to AFD). But, apparently, it was an incomplete VFD proposal and no discussion occurred. So, I'm following through on my mistaken de-PRODding and nominating this stub article for a full deletion discussion.
The deletion rationale for the PROD was "non-notable, could find no news articles on this artist".
  3. Template:2021 FCF season by team: nominated at TfD; notified LaneFrost00 (talk · contribs) 19:03, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Only transcluded to one page, an article that has been nominated for an AFD deletion discussion, most listed articles are red links, it's just too soon for this template to serve a useful purpose.

October 2022[edit]

  1. Totaljerkface: nominated at RfD; Target: Happy Wheels (notified) 21:10, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't quite understand this redirect, apparently http://www.totaljerkface.com is a source used for some citations but I don't see the relevance of the term Totaljerkface to this game enough that readers would be using it to try to find this article.
  2. Template:Basingstoke Bison seasons: nominated at TfD; notified Schierbecker (talk · contribs) 21:19, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: All of the articles this template once listed have been deleted and it is unlikely that these season articles will be recreated given the current consensus about notability in sports/athletes.

November 2022[edit]

  1. Template:Noble nicknames: nominated at TfD; notified Kizor (talk · contribs) 21:48, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: All of the alphabetical pages listed in this template were deleted in an AFD discussion so I don't think the template really serves a purpose any longer. It's only transcluded on one article now which is also listed on this template.
  2. Category:Anti-white racism: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Bohemian Baltimore (talk · contribs) 07:47, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I was looking at all of the redirect deletions that were a part of this RFD discussion and one of these "anti-white racism" redirects pointed to this category. I know the guidelines for redirects are different than that guidelines for categories but I thought since all of these associated redirects were deleted, I would at least raise the question here at CFD. Thank you.
  3. Planet Fun: nominated at RfD; Target: Minimax (notified); notified Seffi ditch (talk · contribs) 22:51, 14 November 2022 (UTC)

  4. Sabal Singh Bhati: nominated at AfD; notified Sabalbhati (talk · contribs) 23:42, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was tagged as a CSD G4 but when I looked at the previous version it was different from this one. However, this version is equally promotional and I don't believe it meets WP:GNG so I'm renominating it.
  5. Joe Forte: nominated at AfD; notified Bbartelt (talk · contribs) 04:42, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This was previously at AFD last year in an interesting AFD that saw substantial participation from the article subject and an AFD closure by a sockpuppet of Expertwikiguy. In my BEFORE search, I found passing mentions and even going to Forte's own website, to the Press section, found very few articles of substance. During my search for Joe Forte, I primarily found references to a basketball player with the same name, Joseph Forte. I'm suggesting that this page be redirected to Firewall (film), his only major success that, unfortunately, got poor reviews.

  6. Template:Edward W. Hardy: nominated at TfD; notified Guarneri Fan (talk · contribs) 21:50, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Little used template, created by a now stale sockpuppet of Maximum023. There are four separate links to The Woodsman but they are are all links to the same article. Other mentions on this template are to articles by sockpuppets that have now been deleted. There are two films where he is listed as a violinist but he is not mentioned at the articles.

December 2022[edit]

  1. User:Setswana/Hindu Rashtra of Constitution: nominated at MfD; notified Setswana (talk · contribs) 06:32, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This User page has already been brought to MFD with a closure of No consensus. However, since that time, it has become evident that this editor sometimes makes up their own content that is not supported by sources, hence, OR. If this hadn't already been brought to MFD, I'd tag this as a hoax article but since it has been to MFD already, I'm sending it back for further review now that their other contributions have been reverted or sent to AFD. I have no confidence that this article is based in fact.
  2. Rewards for Justice Terror List: nominated at AfD; notified Coriantumr15 (talk · contribs) 04:50, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this list because I was concerned about the lack of sourcing. There are many individuals named on this list as having a bounty on their heads and we don't have articles on that individual on Wikipedia that could be used as some sort of verification (and I realize that Wikipedia can not be used as a source but it would have citations on it). This seems like a potential BLP nightmare to be identifying individuals by name as terrorists without any referencing to a source. There is a DOS website listed as the source of information for this "Terror List" but I didn't have much success navigating it to find confirmation for some of these people. I think there should be direct citations or this list should be deleted.
  3. List of every Wikipedia article: nominated at RfD; Target: Special:AllPages (notified); notified Roost (talk · contribs) 23:34, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page is showing up on a Quarry query we use as a broken redirect, I assume because it is an article page redirected to a Special page. I'd like it to not show up every time we run the query as an error page so I'm just bringing it to RFD to ask whether it's acceptable to link an article page to Special pages which are not-articles and I don't think are intended to be used by readers. I doubt that this is even a useful redirect as it lists millions of pages in alphabetical order which is not how readers want to search for an article of interest. Thanks.
  4. David Weintraub (producer): nominated at AfD; notified Shylocksboy (talk · contribs) 03:15, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: David Weintraub seems to primarily be known as a talent manager, having celebrity friends and for working on a variety of reality shows. But besides the two sources listed (one passing mention but the LA Times cite is decent), a quick search came up with other individuals who share his name and his LinkedIn profile (and a sexual assault charge). He seems to have a decent career in Hollywood but I don't think he meets WP:CREATIVE. I'm frankly surprised that this is the first time it's been nominated for an AFD discussion.
  5. Miles Quaritch: nominated at AfD; notified 129.241.122.38 (talk · contribs) 02:38, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Ten years ago, the consensus was that this article should be a redirect to the main Avatar article on characters. It was just recreated so I wanted to see if opinion has changed. This page was created in one edit which led me to think it was a copyright violation but using Earwig, it seems that only a portion of the article seems to be taken from another source.

January 2023[edit]

  1. Religious bias on Wikipedia: nominated at AfD; notified It's Keya (talk · contribs) 20:30, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: While I don't doubt that over its 22 year history there has been religious bias on Wikipedia, the majority of the claims in this artice are vague and unsourced. I think the article should be moved to Draft space until the accusations in the article can be supported with reliable sources because right now it seems like a lot of original research. I could have just moved it to Draft space but page moves can always be reverted if the page creator objects so I'm bringing it to AFD to get a more consensus-based verdict on what should happen to this article. I see potential in the topic but there are just a lot of general claims of bias and I don't think it is main space-ready. I can see this article appearing on Wikipedia in 2006 but it's 2023 and Wikipedia now requires more verification, especially on potentially controversial subjects. I ask that it be moved to Draft or User space for now.
  2. MediaWiki talk:Abusefilter-degrouped/sandbox: nominated at MfD; notified Awesome Aasim (talk · contribs) 18:25, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm not sure what this talk page is intended for but it appears weekly on Wikipedia:Database reports/Orphaned talk subpages. I posted a query about this on Pppery's talk page and they stated they thought it was useless and suggested nominating it for deletion at MFD so here we are. If it is serving a purpose and should be kept, perhaps someone knows of a way to ensure it doesn't appear every week as an orphaned talk page on the database report. Thank you.
  3. Category:Adultism: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Goldsztern (talk · contribs) 19:28, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I see this as falling into WP:SMALLCAT and can't foresee it holding any other articles other than the one that defines what "adultism" supposedly is. The other categories in the parent category Category:Prejudice and discrimination by type are full of related articles that pertain to those subjects but I don't see the potential for growth for this category.
  4. Template:Elizabeth Haydon: nominated at TfD; notified PresN (talk · contribs) 15:16, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Most of the articles listed on this template have been deleted through Proposed Deletion and have been unlinked. This template now appears on just three articles and I don't it is needed any longer.
  5. Template:Symphony of Ages: nominated at TfD; notified Mirjam Amalthea (talk · contribs) 15:19, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is related to the previous nomination, all but two articles listed here have been deleted and unlinked. This template isn't transcluded on any pages.
  6. Jenia Meng: nominated at AfD; notified Effortshitconsistentinvest (talk · contribs) 01:52, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I am not sure how to categorize this individual's profession but given the weight of this article upon her education, I'm going to say that she doesn't meet WP:PROF. In my online search get mentions of her in "the media", her website and social media accounts but being in the press doesn't equate to notability on Wikipedia.

February 2023[edit]

  1. Template:2023 WTA 125 tournaments: nominated at TfD; notified 0add0n (talk · contribs) 02:16, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

  2. Human goat sexual intercourse: nominated at RfD; Target: Zoophilia (notified); notified Elsweyn (talk · contribs) 04:34, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I was looking at all of the other "goat sex" redirects that were deleted tonight and decided to look at the contributions of the editor who created at least some of them. I don't think this is a likely search term though it technically is correct.
  3. Template:Egypt squad 2017 Arab Nations Basketball Championship: nominated at TfD; notified BiggySmoov (talk · contribs) 20:54, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
  4. Draft:Philip Cross (Wikipedia Editor): nominated at MfD; notified Msaroff (talk · contribs) 02:24, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I wasn't aware of this editor and the media coverage he received in 2018 for his editing focus until I did a CSD G13 deletion of this draft yesterday. I thought that was the end of it. But then an IP editor immediately went to REFUND today to ask that the draft be restored so I thought I would bring it to MFD to start a discussion on the appropriateness of having draft articles on our fellow unidentified editors. While we do have List of Wikipedia people for individuals who edit the project and become notable, I'm doubtful that it is wise to have articles written about anonymous editors even if their activity is covered by mainstream media. While I have doubts that this would ever get to main space, I'm proposing that this draft get deleted to set an informal precedence against articles on anonymous editors, especially ones that don't receive lasting media coverage.

March 2023[edit]

  1. Talk:Desperate Journey/Temp/Temp: nominated at MfD; notified Bzuk (talk · contribs) 08:26, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I was just clued into the existence of these subpages marked "Temp" that no one would ever come across while editing the articles they concern. I assume that this one is no longer needed but don't see a relevant CSD criteria that would cover its deletion. So, I'm starting this MFD to weigh in on this particular page but also see if there is a general opinion on what to do with these Temp pages, most of which are from at 8 year ago (or older). I guess it was a common practice back then to put questionable content on a subpage but when no editors know that it even exists, I don't think it serves any purpose to help improve the article. Thanks.
  2. Template:YARA navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Gobautista (talk · contribs) 20:49, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this template was created prematurely before main space articles were created. Currently, the main article on this group is in Draft space.
  3. Category:Nationalist musicians: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Johnny281993 (talk · contribs) 17:38, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think it is appropriate or consistent with Wikipedia's category structure to categorize by occupation and political philosophy unless an article subject is associated with politics. I just got done tagging an empty category for Category:Nationalist journalists and found the same editor had created this category for Nationalist musicians.
  4. Island Boys: nominated at AfD; notified BlackAmerican (talk · contribs) 18:34, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: These men are more well-known for their controversial behavior on social media than their musical careers so they fail WP:BAND. Also the first AFD that was held soonafter this article was created was less than decisive in determining to Keep this article. I think their notoriety might have increased in the past year but not their musical success.
  5. Nick J. Townsend: nominated at AfD; notified Nickjtownsend (talk · contribs) 00:37, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article for musician created by the article subject (User:Nickjtownsend) whose edits focused on their autobiography and an article on their band (Weak13, now deleted) and one of their albums. Admins can see their deleted edits. Online search found social media accounts and two Q&As but nothing I would consider SIGCOV. I see no lasting coverage of this musician.
  6. Mark Gessner: nominated at AfD; notified Eliyahu S (talk · contribs) 07:22, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't believe this actor meets WP:NACTOR. He hasn't had significant roles in films and has only appeared in a few episodes of TV series, nothing lead or recurring. I don't believe he meets our standards of notability for actors.

April 2023[edit]

  1. Mirza Mohammad Abu Tayyab: nominated at AfD; notified Palabjah (talk · contribs) 00:27, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Academic who doesn't meet WP:NPROF. While this isn't a reason for deletion, this article has been a magnet for sockpuppets who've created a lot of articles on local professors.
  2. Revisionist Zionism Draft: nominated at AfD; notified Dolphin372 (talk · contribs) 03:26, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I move this obvious draft article to Draft space but the page creator insists on moving it repeatedly to main space despite its unsuitability and I expect a PROD tag would be removed which leaves AFD. I'm not adverse to Draftification if the article creator agrees to allow the AFC process to occur instead of just putting AFC tags on their page.
  3. Category:Democratic Party city council members of California: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified PacificDepths (talk · contribs) 03:51, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: In my quick check through several other states' city council members categories, it looks like we have category trees by city and sometimes gender and race but no category division by political party. I think in many locations, these are non-partisan offices so I'm not sure if this is a new category tree that should be created.
  4. Ivanova and Olga Tamarin: nominated at AfD; notified Silent-Rains (talk · contribs) 07:58, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article survived a PROD but several editors who researched this article believe it is a hoax. It was tagged for speedy deletion but I think it deserves the consideration that an AFD can bring rather than a quick admin evaluation. Please review the talk page for the ongoing discussion.

  2. Template:Venezuela at Mister Global: nominated at TfD; notified Mauriziok (talk · contribs) 17:28, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

  3. Template:Venezuela at Mister International: nominated at TfD; notified Mauriziok (talk · contribs) 17:30, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

  4. Template:Venezuela at Mister Universe: nominated at TfD; notified Mauriziok (talk · contribs) 17:33, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

  5. Arrest or arrests of Ulysses S. Grant: nominated at RfD; Target: Arrests of Ulysses S. Grant (notified); notified Tamzin (talk · contribs) 04:25, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this is an unlikely search term for "Arrests of Ulysses S. Grant".
  6. Template:Venezuela at Mister Supranational: nominated at TfD; notified Mauriziok (talk · contribs) 16:47, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I nominated similar templates for Venezuela at male pageants on Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2023 May 3 and there was almost unanimous support for deletion so I thought I'd nominate this one as well. Unlike the others, this template lists some existing articles but I think it's limited scope of subject matter will make it used on very few articles.
  7. Combatives: nominated at AfD; notified Vforcescs (talk · contribs) 03:27, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I PROD'd this article with the statement "I was going to remove the unsourced content but that is basically the entire article so instead I will tag it for Proposed deletion as Original research." The PROD tag was removed and it was suggested that I bring this to AFD. Undoubtedly, a decent article on this subject could be written but this version seems to be almost all original research on the subject with some bits taken from a military archived page. It would be nice if editors who focus on the military could take this article on as a writing project but we can't dictate to other editors how to spend their time. As an alternative, we could reduce this to a stub, keeping just the sections that is supported by sources.
  8. Javad Safaee (Cricketer): nominated at RfD; Target: Jawid Safi (notified); notified Dl2000 (talk · contribs) 19:56, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect exists because of a sockpuppet hijacking an article about Jawid Safi, a cricket player, and trying to turn it into an article about a Javad (or Jawid) Safaee, a singer. I think having this redirect from a bad-intentioned page move is just encouragement for future attempts from this sockfarm to turn this redirect page into an article. I don't think it is a likely search term either. Thanks.
  9. Jawid Safi (Javad Safaee): nominated at RfD; Target: Jawid Safi (notified); notified Ortizesp (talk · contribs) 19:59, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

    • Reason: This is a convoluted article title but I can't delete it via speedy deletion as it is the result of a page move. So, I'm sending it to RFD to see if anyone agrees that it should be deleted. By the way, there are a ton of other redirects to this article as well that link to this page.

July 2023[edit]

  1. Shafiullah Orakzai: nominated at RfD; Target: Lalbazgaray (notified); notified ForsythiaJo (talk · contribs) 02:23, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This page was tagged as a CSD G6, a page made in error. But it wasn't obvious enough to me. Frankly though I don't see a connection between this page and the redirect target.
  2. Gothic hilted British infantry swords (1822, 1827, 1845, 1854 and 1892 patterns): nominated at RfD; Target: Gothic hilted British infantry swords (notified) 17:40, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unnecessarily long page title, unlikely to be a search term.
  3. Elizabeth Ambatukam Siddall: nominated at RfD; Target: Elizabeth Siddal (notified); notified Taivorist (talk · contribs) 02:20, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect was originally tagged as vandalism. I don't see how it's vandalism but I also don't understand how it is a valid name for this historic person. I did a search for "Elizabeth Ambatukam Siddall" and got no results.

August 2023[edit]

  1. Wikipedia:Wikipedia ban speedrun: nominated at MfD; notified Brachy0008 (talk · contribs) 19:10, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think that essays in Wikipedia space, even those tagged as "humorous" should encourage vandalism. "Humorous" shouldn't be a "Get out of jail" card that allows you to say all sorts of things that would otherwise be considered improper. I have no problem if this is moved to User space but I don't think it should be in project space.
  2. Vlad Zachary: nominated at RfD; Target: Frank Satire (notified); notified BabsonAlum7 (talk · contribs) 03:41, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

  3. Trump Crime Family: nominated at RfD; Target: Family of Donald Trump (notified); notified WWGB (talk · contribs) 04:55, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect seems very POINTY and reflects a political POV. Also as only Donald Trump has been indicted, and not other family members, it seems inaccurate.
  4. Daniel Razon's group: nominated at RfD; Target: Twice (notified); notified JaredLucas (talk · contribs) 05:16, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this is some in-joke but I see no connection between Daniel Razon and this group. Also, the redirect creator created a number of questionable pages and is currently blocked.

  1. Category:Undesirable Wiki Ed Articles: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Abishekdascs (talk · contribs) 00:49, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This category, with its unclear scope or purpose, only seems to be for the use of the category creator, User:Abishekdascs. I removed inappropriately categorized User pages but was reverted so I'm sending this case to CFD.
  2. Marat 'maratik' Sharafutdinov: nominated at AfD; notified TheElvisBelievingBumbleBee (talk · contribs) 23:57, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: While this article subject won a huge amount of money in one poker game 11 years ago, I think they are a good example of WP:BLP1E fame. I also don't think the sources we have are independent reliable sources, they seem blogish to me.
  3. Category:People by ethnicity and nationality and century: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Thedarkknightli (talk · contribs) 16:24, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: These categories have always only contained categories for Jews. It would be fine if they were expanded and contained categories for other ethnicities and nationalities but as they exist now, they seem redundant to only contain one category for one ethnicity.
  4. Category:Muhammad Ilyas Kandhlawi: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Owais Al Qarni (talk · contribs) 03:24, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

  5. Category:User removes ampersands: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified JacobTheRox (talk · contribs) 16:33, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This category seems to exist for editors who use one particular userbox which right now is one editor. The category is uncategorized so I'm not sure where it fits into User template categories and whether or not this is a proper use. I don't know whether there is the likelihood of expansion.
  6. Template:Servant of the People: nominated at TfD; notified Joker Ukr (talk · contribs) 02:50, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I question whether this template is useful or whether keeping an up-to-date listing of every People's Deputy is going to be easy to maintain. Ideally, at least in my understanding, templates should not need to be frequently updated. Also, this template is simply used on the article of everyone mentioned on it so it doesn't seem to serve an informational purpose when their position can just be mentioned in the article content.

October 2023[edit]

  1. Template:Taxonomy/Nanopusillus: nominated at TfD; notified RigelArcturus9 (talk · contribs) 02:21, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

  2. Template:2024 Southeastern Conference baseball standings: nominated at TfD; notified Rylesbourne (talk · contribs) 17:55, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Isn't it a little early for this template? This is the only spring 2024 standings template we have for baseball for any conference or league. It would seem more appropriate to create these in 4 to 6 months.
  3. Wikipedia:KIDINAFRICA: nominated at RfD; Target: User:Skomorokh/thekidinafrica (notified); notified Skomorokh (talk · contribs) 22:28, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This Redirect, which looks like it's coming from project space, is linked to a User page with a questionable essay that is currently being discussed at MFD. Since it's unclear whether or not the User page will be deleted, I thought I'd go ahead and nominate the Redirect. I don't think essays in User space should have redirects coming from project space. It's also highly unlikely that this User page will be moved over to project space at this point without a complete rewrite.

  2. Template:User UdelaR: nominated at MfD; notified Fadesga (talk · contribs) 21:30, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I was just tagging Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: University of the Republic, Uruguay as an empty category (CSD C1) and noticed this template which isn't being used by any editor. Are these university userboxes typically deleted or retained in case there is a need for it in the future? By the way, Twinkle is posting this at MFD even though it is a template. I guess this is where userbox discussions go.
  3. Template:Elisa Jordana: nominated at TfD; notified Isatoya (talk · contribs) 00:22, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

  1. Pakistan-Israel Dogfight (1967): nominated at AfD; notified DeepstoneV (talk · contribs) 17:54, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: It seems like a small incident in a much larger conflict and could be Deleted or at best Merged to Saiful Azam as it is already mentioned in less detail at Six-Day War. If the consensus is that it should kept, I think a different title might be appropriate as Pakistan wasn't a major participant in this war. This also might be a borderline contentious topic as Pakistan isn't an "Arab" country this did involve an Israel-Arab conflict. I don't deal much with articles in the contentious topic area so I thought a discussion would be best.

    • Reason: There is no Dem article so I'm not sure where this category belongs in the category hierarchy. Should it be deleted or merged somewhere else?
  5. Karthik Naralasetty: nominated at AfD; notified Raviind03 (talk · contribs) 01:12, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Karthik Naralasetty has some sources on his life and company, a 30 under 30 article and some promotional content, he won an award 13 years ago, I don't think it provides SIGCOV or establishes GNG.
I was going to PROD this article until I found that it not only has been PROD'd but has had two previous AFDs, one closed as Delete, the second as No consensus. The article on his company, SocialBlood was Soft Deleted after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Socialblood. I thought it was time to reexamine this article and consider whether it meets the stricter standards of today's Wikipedia.
  6. Category:Films about diseases: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Films about diseases and disorders; notified Stefanomione (talk · contribs) 01:41, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't understand why we have two such similiar categories. I'm finding articles put in both categories. Either the categories need to be renamed to make their distinction clear or one needs to be merged into the other.
  7. Cadenhead's old raj: nominated at RfD; Target: Springbank distillery (notified); notified Brudelman (talk · contribs) 03:13, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I see only a loose connection between this redirect and the target article. There is a link with the Cadenheads but "old raj"? But I might not be up on lingo for distilleries. I came upon this redirect, one of many created by this editor while tagging some of the category creations.
  8. Template:Hiroden style: nominated at TfD; notified Sw2nd (talk · contribs) 18:28, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm not sure if this template is necessary as the page is blank. There is hidden code but I don't know whether it is serving any purpose.
  9. Institute for Macedonian language "Krste Misirkov": nominated at RfD; Target: Krste Misirkov Institute for the Macedonian Language (notified); notified Super Dromaeosaurus (talk · contribs) 01:44, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this is a very awkwardly phrased redirect that is unlikely to be the way a reader would search for this article. This page title is close to the actual name so if a reader used these words, the article would appear in the search results so I don't think this redirect serves any useful purpose.

April 2024[edit]

  1. Category:Company editors: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Brudelman (talk · contribs) 01:18, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I'm nominating this category and, by extension Category:Italian company editors and Category:Italian company editors by type because I can't find a definition on Wikipedia of what a "company editor" is and so I don't know who would or would not be included in this category. Categorization on Wikipedia is not supposed to be ambiguous and so I think either a definition should be included on a main space article or this category needs to be deleted or renamed.
  2. New changes: nominated at RfD; Target: Special:RecentChanges (notified); notified Alon Alush (talk · contribs) 20:23, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't think a redirect from main space to a special page is useful for our readers and the page title is so ambiguous that it isn't clear at all that it pertains to the editing process on the project. There is already a link in the left-hand side menu and editors who watch recent changes know where to find this page. Readers who have nothing to do with editing are more likely to think that "New changes" pertains to something going on in the world. I also think we need to be careful with redirects that point outside the main space of the project.

May 2024[edit]

  1. User:UBX/Comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany: nominated at MfD; notified UBX (talk · contribs); notified Lionel Messi Lover (talk · contribs) 05:13, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this userbox crosses the line into controversial and unacceptable. And it is morally offensive.
  2. Hermie and Friends: nominated at AfD; notified Pastor Kam (talk · contribs) 22:50, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Granted that I don't know what reference sources would discuss this Christian animated children's show but I didn't find anything in my online search that wasn't either user-generated content, product-focused (promotion) or sites that allowed users to view episodes. I found no secondary sources or SIGCOV. One site called it an "award-winning" show but I never could locate what that award was. Given the detail of content about the characters, I think this article mainly serves as a nostalgia page for IP editors to write about a series they might have watched when they were younger. Dare I say it? I don't think it is notable or encyclopedic.
  3. Donald Von ShitzInPantz: nominated at RfD; Target: Prosecution of Donald Trump in New York (notified); notified GobsPint (talk · contribs) 06:20, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This redirect was tagged for speedy deletion but the tag removed with the statement that this nickname is "a real thing". I doubt this so I'm sending this to RFD. I can't see where the legitimacy of this insult is documented. There seems to be a long history of insulting redirects for political figures and I'm hoping that the redirect experts at RFD will be able to make a judgment on this one.
