Woopa is a social network mobile app that allows user to create a wishlist that can be seen by connected users, allowing users to make gifts between them. The app is most commonly used as a shopping gifts app but has branched out to provide more services, making it more of a general social media application. User profile creation is based on Facebook profiles.
Originally started in a basement appartment in South Korea, the app was launched in 2017.

Operation
[edit]Using Facebook, Woopa is able to build a user profile with the profile photo that has already been uploaded. Basic information is gathered and the users' social graph is analyzed.
Features
[edit]- Swipe is central to Woopa's design. The app's algorithm provides, users swipe right to add to "wishlist" the items you like and swipe left to continue on their exploration of other items.
