Flag of Valencia

Hi there Banderas,

We are talking in Talk:Flag of Valencia with Zscout370 (a fellow contributor of you at FOTW) about the decree "116/1994 de 21 de junio, del gobierno valenciano, por el que se regulan los símbolos, tratamientos y honores de las entidades locales de la Comunidad Valenciana". In those months, I've searched everywhere to find a translation in english of it. It is the closest closest thing the valencian community has done to describe the ratio of its flags. Ignacio Gavira described you as the president of the SEV (spanish vexillological society)... Is there any chance that you have in your archives pictures from the Senyera coronada fully deployed in an official building? I have found one in the spanish senate and another from the Council of Alcoy, but the other part is not willing to accept them as a proof of the official use of the 2:3 flag.

I've also read in the protocole for flags in the Presidencia del gobierno that it is very strict in government buildings, but it does not explain in other civil buildings such as monuments. Are those flags in civil and public monuments also under the strict code of the protocole for flags? May we state that if a flag with 2:3 ratio is hoisted on government building such as the Palau de la Generalitat or the council of Alcoy, these are the Official ratios for the flag, even if not described exactly at any law? Would you be so kind to answer to these questions in Talk:Flag of Valencia. Thanks a lot! --Maurice27 09:51, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Campion High School

Hi! Campion High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin no longer exists as a Jesuit high School and has not been since 1975. Therefore, I am going to revert your edit which is very inaccurate. Thank you- RFD (talk) 19:26, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your response. Is there a category for Jesuit high schools that are do longer in existence? Thank you-RFD (talk) 13:13, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
There was a similar problem involving the John F. Kennedy High School in St. Nazianz, Wisconsin. That high school was operated by the Salvatorian order but the high school closed also. Would there be a more generic category about the closing of secondary Roman Catholic high schools. I will take the Society of Jesus category off of the Campion High School and leave it at that for the time being. Thank you again-RFD (talk) 13:20, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Somió (Barrios)

Hi. The official laws (which, as you've seen referenced in the article, are: BOPA Nº 229 - Martes, 3 de octubre de 2006 & DECRETO 105/2006, de 20 de septiembre, por el que se determinan los topónimos oficiales del concejo de Gijón) do not talk of 10 neighbourhoods, but of the following 27 divisions:

  • L'Ablanu
  • Candenal
  • La Carbayera
  • Candenal
  • Les Caseríes
  • Les Castañaliques
  • La Corolla
  • El Cruceru
  • El Curiosu
  • Fontanía
  • Foxanes
  • Fuexo
  • La Güelga
  • La Guía
  • La Iría
  • El Molín de Viento
  • El Monte
  • Moriyón
  • La Pipa
  • El Piqueru
  • El Pisón
  • La Providencia
  • El Puentín
  • La Redonda
  • El Rinconín
  • San Llorienzo

(Rough translation: "Article 2.- Official names. The toponyms so established are considered the official names, replacing all the previously valid names if they exist.")

Additionaly, the Council of Gijón / Xixón states:

Estos nomes son agora oficiales a tolos efectos, d'usu obligáu per parte de les instituciones (Ayuntamientos, organismos del Principáu, etc.) en cualesquier comunicación fecha en castellanu o n'asturianu.[1]

(Rough translation: "This names are now effectively official, and of obligatory use by the institutions (City Halls, Principality's bodies, etc.) in every communication (message) made in castillian or in asturian.

Thus, the only official toponyms and territorial divisions of the Somió district are the ones stated on the aforementioned law. No other previous division or naming is official anymore, and no other institution than the Principality of Asturias can enact the official administrative divisions and toponomy of this territory.

Plus, the Wikipedia Naming conventions for places state:

Countries of Europe: (...) In case of name changes, the current widely accepted English name or in absence thereof, the current local official name is to be used.

Besides, since this is an encyclopedia, I think its just a matter of common sense: We must use the official administrative divisions and toponyms for an encyclopedic article about official administrative divisions and toponyms.

Thanks. -- · Ravenloft · talk 19:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

(Sorry for speaking english, I do it just in case any english wikipedia user follows our conversation.)
First of all, are you familiar with Wikipedia:Verifiability guidelines? In this cases, editors should provide a reliable source for any material the want to change into the encyclopedia.
In this particular case, the only official reliable source is the Principality of Asturias through the laws published in the Boletín General del Principado de Asturias (B.O.P.A.) [2]. The Principality of Asturias is the only responsible institution for territorial administrative divisions in Asturias. Evidently, no other institution, neighbour association or civil parrish assembly can enact the official divisions of the Principality of Asturias. If you have the B.O.P.A. (official document) with a different Barrio division for the parrish of Somió -which repeals the aforementioned- please provide it.
You say your map of the Unidad de Integración Corporativa del Ayuntamiento de Gijón has 10 barrios. Ok. I doesn't really matter, but anyway, there are two possible explanations: A) The map was made before the publication of the law in the BOPA 3rd October 2006. B) The map is wrong. It happens. Last week EMTUSA (a municipal company) had to remake hundreds of bus stops signs because some civil servant used a repealed BOPA with repealed toponyms.
But, as you've seen, I don't have any problem at all with having a mention to the 10 toponimic divisions you're kin to in the article. Anyway, I insist the official names must stay: We must use the official administrative divisions and toponyms for an encyclopedic article about official administrative divisions and toponyms. Provide a newer B.O.P.A. with your suggested Barrio division for the parrish of Somió before making any change.
We should keep this talk on the article page. Thanks-- · Ravenloft · talk 20:11, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
"DECRETO 105/2006, de 20 de septiembre, por el que se determinan los topónimos oficiales del concejo de Gijón" states the list of toponyms. A "topónimo" is not a subdivision, it´s just a name of a place. I accept the change in names of the 10 barrios to the new toponyms, but nowhere in that law it´s stated that there are new subdivisions.
I see your point, but the change of the names of the barrios which conform a parrish also implies the change of the administrative division of the parrish itself. Simple math: Same territory + lots of new toponyms = Less territory for each toponym. Anyway, until we find some reliable legal source on the matter, I propose to mention both things in the article. As a temporary measure, we could mention the 10 names you propose as traditional barrios, and the other 17 names the law mentions as places (as you know, the administrative division below "barrio" is "llugar"). Ok? -- · Ravenloft · talk 20:44, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Sounds like a good consensus to me. Ok then. (Btw: fixed Candenal issue) See you -- · Ravenloft · talk 17:59, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Soccer categories

I have no clue what you are trying to accomplish with the college soccer team categories such as your edits here and here, but I see no discussion or consensus on making such changes, and I have reverted your edits that I presume were meant to empty one of the categories in order to eventually be able to tag it for speedy deletion. Please discuss such changes before making similar changes again. Thanks, VegaDark (talk) 04:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok, but I'm pretty sure there is going to be room for expansion in that category tree. An article on men's and women's soccer is doable, and I think there may be a couple women's soccer players notable enough for an article that just haven't been made yet. An article could also be made for the venues that men's and women's soccer is played at at OSU, so I think the category tree as it is currently is reasonable and follows the same system that other college team categories follow. Míchel

Hello. The cited source, written by the Birmingham Mail journalist who specialises in Birmingham City F.C. news, says in the detail, "Gijon accepted a €3.2 million offer (£2.9 million) for Michel, plus a 10 per cent sell-on clause." Do you have a published source to say that's actually wrong? as opposed to the way British media sources, including in the headline of the source cited, approximate the fee to £3million so the British reader will understand it more easily? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:37, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

You're probably right, but the report you linked to is the same one that I mentioned above, which says €3.2 million in the body of the article, even though it says £3m in the headline... I imagine their currency conversion is to help their readers' understanding, rather than based on any knowledge of either club's banking arrangements. Perhaps when the player finally signs, Birmingham City will confirm the fee :-) I couldn't find anything on Sporting's site. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:09, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Isn't it strange? that La voz de Asturias, presumably with information direct from Sporting, have the deal done in ££ , yet the Birmingham Mail, presumably with information direct from Birmingham City, have it in €€ ... Thanks for the links, Struway2 (talk) 10:46, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Michu

Hola BANDERAS, VASCO desde Portugal (now in English),

Regarding this player, i would like for you to please leave my inputs in storyline, for two reasons: first, he was not bought by Celta de Vigo B, B clubs don't buy players, A-teams do then assign players to the reserves.

Second, i think the use of present tense in encyclopedias ("...where he remains.") is not appropriate, hence my changes.

All for the moment, hope we can collaborate together in the future, regards,

VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 13:56, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

  • BANDERAS, VASCO here,

Wow! Did not expect such an answer, but OK...NEVER did (do) i want to have wrong info in WP, so if you say so, i believe you, you are obviously connected to football stuff (since you edit in the field) and are from Spain, so i believe you 100%. Did not understand that approach in your message, at all.

Will now go to Miguel Pérez Cuesta's page and compose stuff according to your sayings, i am here to help and get along with good editors (as i am sure you are).

Cheers, VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 22:15, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey man, no problems, all of us good editors (you and me and i am sure thousands of others) are here to edit properly. And yes, you are right, some articles can be really annoying to get right, just check some of my edit summaries to see how much i also get frustrated sometimes - that's the price you pay in an encyclopedia where EVERYBODY can write; in the end, we'll get it right! Thanks for your "clearing up".

Whistle whenever you need anything, i'll do the same (i edit mainly on football and - don't ask me why - mainly in Spanish), hopefully we can cooperate in articles.

From Portugal, saludos,

VASCO - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:15, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Some help

Hola BANDERAS, VASCO here,

Even though i do not doubt your best intentions, at Milan Smiljanić, you made several mistakes - but who doesn't make mistakes? You redirected club links, both Sporting de Gijón (no "REAL") and RCD Espanyol (has not been called "ESPAÑOL" since 1995).

And, also, the player's move is not a sale, it's a loan, i made all the pertinent corrections.

Take care, keep up the good work,

This article is titled Mean Machine Sailing Team and is about a very successful sailing team with achievements in several different boats. Mean Machine is a boat and hence needs a separate article which can be categorized under "Yachts" or "Individual Sailing Vessels". Replaceable fair use File:CUAcardinals.gif

Thanks for uploading File:CUAcardinals.gif. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Niagara purple

Hi Banderas, I see you reverted the color change I made at Niagara Purple Eagles men's ice hockey on the basis that the new color did not correspond to PMS 268. Unless there's an official conversion chart I'm unaware of, I don't know how you or the community decided that       is the "correct" conversion. When I search the web, I find a different RGB/hexidecimal equivalent at every site. Here are some of them that correspond to PMS 268:
      Texas Christian
      TCU again
      Zedimage
      DAI
      Kansas State
      Wisconsin–Whitewater
      Louisiana State

Niagara itself even uses three different shades of purple on its downloadable logos page. With all this variation, I believe the best solution is to match the color that Niagara uses on its athletics website. Do you disagree? Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 14:17, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

I will accept that 4F2170 is the best match for PMS 268. The issue then becomes do we select the colors based on what the school says, or on what it does? The color used on the athletics website seems to match the actual hockey jerseys, and that's what I used when designing the uniform image. I ran into the same problem with Merrimack, where the differences are even more pronounced... Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 20:21, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi, why don't you consider this club as a multi-sports team?

Gonzaka (talk) 10:30, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Gonzaka (talk) 10:50, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chris Casey, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ctpost.com/sports/article/Chris-Casey-former-WCSU-two-time-captain-named-4454727.php.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. The article Barcelona Búfals has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of meeting WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Category:5.5 Metre competitions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for four days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Welcome!

Hello, Banderas, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Jack (flag), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Jm (talk | contribs) 18:31, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

I know you're more of an experienced Wikipedian, so you're probably wondering why I welcome-templated you. However, the Jack (flag) article that you changed from a redirect currently doesn't have enough substantive content on it to merit its own article, and should stay as a redirect for now. I'd encourage you to userfy the page, or run it through the Article Wizard, before moving it back to its current location. Cheers! Jm (talk | contribs) 18:35, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

I reverted your edits. The Table of Contents (TOC) must go before the first section header per WP:TOC and WP:LEAD. This is an accessibility issue for users of screen readers.

Normally I'd place the TOC in the correct spot, but in this case, it meant alot of text in the lead section. So, I don't know what to move out and the section header should be called, thus the revert and leaving you a message. Bgwhite (talk) 04:55, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cape Florida Light into Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Nulogo white.png

Thank you for uploading File:Nulogo white.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:24, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sea Cliff Yacht Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Copyright infringement

You need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Hello, Banderas,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Sociedad Deportiva Compostela (1962-2006) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sociedad Deportiva Compostela (1962-2006) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Segunda Pro

Notice

The article Walnut Valley Sailing Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable club, fails WP:ORG, fails WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Infobox school athletics

Infobox port

I don't understand this addition to the template? What is your intention by adding it? Fob.schools (talk) 09:31, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

I've found what you were using it for. It's not necessary. Usde location instead. A good rule of thumb with infoboxes and templates is that if you think they are missing a parameter because you want to add a piece of information, just ask on the template talk page. Also if you do add a new parameter, please document it in the template documentation too, so everyone, not just you, understands the purpose of it. Fob.schools (talk) 10:26, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
There is no requirement that location should be limited to land. The documentation currently says 'Nearest city' but that is not followed very well. Changing the definition of location to include any relevant water body would be useful as it would define the location better. The template is now used for dry ports which have no waterbody whatsoever so adding a water specific parameter doesn't make sense. Open a discussion on the talk page and I will step in.

Request reason:

I used the yacht club's website as a reference and took just small parts of the text, editing a ref into the reflist. I also used other websites as reference. I don't understand my blocking. I also see it's mentioned 8 previous warnings ?? never had any blocks or warnings that I know of except for automatic messages in cases that I beleived I solved. Did I make mistakes in 14 years and over 9,000 edits ? Sure I did ! and I am sorry for those mistakes. I try to do better, and I will be more carefull with the text I use from the sources, but am I creating significant disruption to be blocked for ever ? I beleive I'm not

Decline reason:

The last three warnings were manual, two left by a copyvio specialist administrator. But that's beside the point - they established that you keep repeating the same mistakes, and given the most serious nature of copyright problems the block is justified. You need to demonstrate that you understand our copyright policies before you are allowed to edit again. I'm also concerned that only 0.7% of your edits are to the user talk namespace. You are right. I had not read carefully enough the messages on my talk page previously. I did not write the texts using my own words in several edits. I am sorry. I have learned better now not to break copyrights in the future.

This is not accurate. Please read WP:FAIRUSE and correct your answer. --Yamla (talk) 16:27, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for reviewing SQL. August 22nd, I wrote "I am not sure what points am I not answering unaccurately Yamla. Could you please help me ?" on my last edit summary, because I thought I could not edit anywhere else. Never received an answer. The truth is that I'm kind of lost on how to follow this process and what to do. I write here on my own discussion page to explain the issue, but I'm not sure I can do this being blocked. I'll write another unblock request to the best of my limited knowledge--Banderas (talk) 18:34, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Banderas (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have in the past made some mistakes by using short sentences directly from sources, and even though I referenced the sources, they were excessively long and I should have used my own words. I have learned better and have read the copyright policies more carefully. I am now lost in what should I write to convince administrators that I am not a lost case.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. signed, Rosguill talk 21:47, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Unblock - October 2020

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Banderas (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I understand the reason for my blocking, as I have violated copyright policy in some of my edits, but I beleive the block is no longer necessary because I have learned better after reading more carefully the copyright policy and will not continue to cause damage or disruption. I will make useful contributions instead, as it was the case with my over 8.000 edits in which I have contributed with no issues in the past. I will be very carefull to write the texts with my own words not to fall again in copyright violations, as I totally agree with the policy. I will keep editing in good faith and contribute in any article improvement I am requested.

Are you willing to go through and remove any violations you made from this CCI investigation if unblocked? -- Amanda (aka DQ) 23:43, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for writing AmandaNP. Sure. I hope there aren't any more, but I'll check.--Banderas (talk) 06:56, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

@Moneytrees and Yamla: I would like to start considering conditions for unblock for this user, but would also like your input. I think the user is understanding of the issues that went wrong in the past, and the big part here is they are willing to help cleanup with their CCI, a commitment I rarely see. So my proposed terms would be a restriction preventing any File: namespace uploads, and no new articles until the CCI has been completely cleaned and reviewed. If you two want/are willing, I'd also put down that the additional restriction could be appealed to any of the three of us (or obviously AN if they wish that route). Thoughts? -- Amanda (aka DQ) 09:40, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
I've seen no demonstrated understanding of WP:FAIRUSE. But, frankly, fair use allows things that would otherwise be prohibited by copyright, so I would not object to an unblock given their commitment to help clean up their CCI. --Yamla (talk) 10:51, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
AmandaNP, I don't think a File: upload ban is necessary, but I approve of the no new articles until the CCI is complete restriction. I would like if Banderas was able to recommend Banderas appeal to one of us rather than AN since they're slow to respond to restrictions involving copyright. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 15:50, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
@Moneytrees: I can't prevent anyone from appealing to AN as a matter of policy. But I did look back and see that the file namespace isn't needed.
@Banderas: I am willing to unblock you with the following conditions:
  • creating a new page in the mainspace, including recreating pages
  • you must be making an effort to deal with your CCI as you promised to assisting with it
This may be appealed to myself, Moneytrees, or Yamla after you have completed dealing with your CCI or it can be appealed to WP:AN (as a matter of policy). Do you agree? -- Amanda (aka DQ) 16:16, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I didn't mean to say that, I meant to recommend Banderas appeal to one of us instead of AN because they'll likely turn up empty handed. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 16:22, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you AmandaNP. I am willing to help with my CCI and follow instructions to creating a new page in the mainspace, including recreating pages, but I'm affraid I don´t know exactly how it should be done. Can you help me?, what must I do now ? --Banderas (talk) 18:35, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Given that, I will unblock you forthwith. @Moneytrees: can help explain your next steps in regards to the CCI. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 19:43, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
I recommend reading CCI; CCI subjects aren't supposed to check articles off, but making a note under the listings showing results from your own search or saying where you copied the content from would be highly appreciated. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 04:37, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

@Moneytrees: @AmandaNP: I have checked the first non-checked three articles from the Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Banderas and edited the results, signing the edits, to test if that is how I should do it. Is that correct ? --Banderas (talk) 06:41, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

The two were fine (you attributed your copy from Seal of the President of the United States into Flag of the President of the United States in the edit summary so no violation, and 420 World Championships was basic list stuff so could be ignored), but the copy of Sailing into Sailing (sport) wasn't attributed and therefore was a violation. I fixed it by adding this notice to the talk page; attribution is required for article history, so please use that notice or come to me if you come across any other pages/edits you made by copying from another page.
