Hi, David! Since I admire your great work on "Da Wiki," I was wondering if you could help me out with Broken Sword. Since all of the installment articles are already GAs, only the series' main article needs to be promoted to GA. Star Trek III: The Search for Spock is a 1984 motion picture released by Paramount Pictures. The film is the third feature film of the Star Trek science fiction franchise and is the center of a three-film story arc that begins with Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and concludes with Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. After the death of Spock (Leonard Nimoy) the crew of the USS Enterprise returns to Earth. When James T. Kirk (William Shatner) learns that Spock's spirit is held in the mind of Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley), Kirk and company steal the Enterprise to return Spock's body to his home planet. The crew must also contend with hostile Klingons, led by Kruge (Christopher Lloyd), bent on stealing the secrets of a powerful terraforming device. Paramount commissioned the film after positive critical and commercial reaction to The Wrath of Khan. Nimoy directed, the first Star Trek cast member to do so. Producer Harve Bennett wrote the script starting from the end and working back, and intended the destruction of the Enterprise to be a shocking development. The filmed grossed $76 million at the domestic box office and a total of $87 million worldwide. Critical reaction to The Search for Spock was mixed to positive. Reviewers generally praised the cast and characters, while criticism tended to focus on the plot; the special effects were conflictingly received. Request for adminstrator assistance

How are you? It has been a while, I'm gladd your still at it so rigorously! I'm still around on Wikipedia on occasion. I tried creating a new article by copying some of the text as a basis to create an article, calledEureqa, and an admin named User:Fuhghettaboutit deleted it. Perhaps it was a fair point that the text needed to be modified, or removed, but he has refused to restore the article for me to improve. and now, he has deleted a Wikipedia Good Article unilaterally and with no consultation, Mark Twain House. I need some assistance on this issue, could you or another admin help? Thanks. In fact, I really think someone should start going through his contribution history to see if he has a record of deleting other Good Articles on very weak grounds and without any warning or communication of the issues involved, speedy deletion of articles are not for notable articles, let alone Good ones. Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

Sorry, I meant that 18-0 poll on Wikipedia talk:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Perth/Proposed decision. I didn't bother voting against it for various reasons, but I disagree that desysopping for the wheel-warring actions in question should be off the table. I think the way it's fallen out now is just about right, personally -- I would have supported a desysop for Gnangarra, but I also would have supported an immediate RFA to get the bit back. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 13:55, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Well, at least this time when editing in relation to that poll SarekOfVulcan, you are attributing your view for desysop proposal(s) to yourself; I recall it was you who misstated another person's position through your edit here by suggesting that they were for desysop proposals when that was not the actual case. Halo sales figures

Unfortunately I can't verify how reliable those figures are. However, I would say that from other sources I have seen, the figures are all very similar to one another, and therefore I find it hard to imagine that if these different sources are all quoting similar figures that they've all managed to get them wrong. Re. Peer review for Forced evictions in Baku

It's interesting you should mention the background section as being the aspect of the article that is most lacking. I had actually reduced the amount of text being used in that section just six days ago on recommendation from Khazar2 (his sentiments were very similar to yours with regards to what the background section ought to include). This is what it looked like prior. However, I agree that the #1 thing which needs to be improved upon is elaborating on the run-up to the evictions/demolitions. I do think the situation merits its own separate article, although I'm not sure if other people would agree with me on that point — the country's human rights article already does have a subsection regarding the expropriations, but I think the information could be covered in more extensive detail on its own article.

Backstage at the Smithsonian Libraries

Backstage at the Smithsonian Libraries is part of Wikipedia Loves Libraries 2012, the second annual continent-wide campaign to bring Wikipedia and libraries together with on-site events. Running this fall through October and November, libraries (and archives) will open their doors to help build a lasting relationship with their local Wikipedian community.

Organized by Wikimedia DC, this event will take place on October 12, 2012, and will include new editor training, a "backstage pass" tour of the National Museum of Natural History, and an edit-a-thon. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Hello David--I just made an edit or two to the article, moving a (useful) external link into the article. I'm not sure I'm following the proper format, but I'm not sure if there still is a proper format: it seems like the referencing system may have gotten to be inconsistent since I think I'm seeing, for instance, journal articles cited in the references and in the footnotes. Requested third opinion

Hey, David. You haven't been involved with Dota 2 or its talk page hardly at all, so I figured you might be able to give a fair and neutral opinion on this matter. The story is that this editor, Unflavoured, is pushing for only the Dota 2 page to say "action real-time strategy" for its genre, even if no other pages use it and even if the consensus is that pages should be designated as MOBAs, per consensus. His rationale is that since Valve calls Dota 2 an ARTS, that the article should be called that. My reasoning is that such a permanent addition would be counter-intutive to the decisions we've made via consensus and that simply because a company designates their game with a certain name does not mean that it needs to be called it on Wikipedia.
