User:JuniperisCommunis/List of mining disasters

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article contains a list of mining accidents including (but not limited to) coal and metals mining. This list includes acute releases of toxic materials (e.g., sudden failure of a tailings pond), but does not include on-going toxic contamination (e.g., slow release of toxic materials to ground water). Similarly, the casualty figures only include casualties directly associated with the acute event rather than chronic or long-term exposure (e.g., to a toxic material).

To Do: Poland, U.S.
