quick question

I am not fully understanding it. Is it ok for me to submit promotional posters of movies/characters even if they are copyrighted? It says so in the Wikipedia:NFCI#Images section. Unless I misunderstood? Please let me know. I am not going to replace pages with photos, just those that don't have one yet. Copyrighted images such as screenshots, posters, etc. can be used but it has limitations such as, it should be uploaded in lower resolution to prevent it to be reproduced, it should be only used in one article, it cannot be used for templates and infoboxes, and it can only be used for a specific subject. An example of this is you can upload a screenshot or a poster of the movie "'Till I Met You" and use it in the movie's article but you cannot use it as a profile picture of Regine Velasquez or Robin Padilla. Free images such as a photo of an artist you took yourself are being encouraged more than uploading copyrighted images to depict the artist (see the uploaded image in the Juris Fernandez article for the example).

Also, as I as a reminder, you cannot just grab images from the internet and upload it here. The proper procedure for that is you have to get permission from the owner of that image (an e-mail or any confirmation from the owner) and agreed that his image can be used in Wikipedia via CC-BY-SA 3.0 License. -WayKurat (talk) 02:26, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, WayKurat! I have uploaded a few promo pics to an article. Please check if they are ok and can be accepted. As I have said, I am just a beginner at this and do not fully understand the policies. If they are wrong, then please feel free to remove them and let me know. I followed other articles that has promo pics for their characters. Some took them from the show's official websites, so I did that as well. I completed the descriptions and received no complaints from the admin like what happened last time, so I guess they are fine. But just to be sure, please let me know if they are ok. I'd rather hear it from you first rather than from an obsessed fan of the show who just doesn't want their edits to be changed (you know there are some of those around here lol). The pictures that you have added can cause problems since you have added them in a "List of..." characters. As per WP:OVERUSE, As little non-free content as possible is used in an article. Short rather than long video and audio excerpts are used. Multiple items are not used if one will suffice; one is used only if necessary.. Adding the images on the character's article (if it exists) can be acceptable for time to time. An example is the List of characters in The Simpsons article, you can see there that it only included one non-free image and not individual images of every character. But there is an existing image of Homer Simpson and Bart Simpson on their individual articles.
Based on my experience, I have done the same thing (adding non-free images) previously on the Banknotes of the Philippine peso article, adding a set of images of the New Generation series. It was removed immediately by one of the admins citing WP:OVERUSE. -WayKurat (talk) 11:34, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Again, thanks for the advice. I tried to place the pics on their respective individual articles, but they don't have any. Everytime I click their names, it appears on that page. I placed those photos a few days ago, and they have not yet been removed by an admin. Maybe its because, thay don't have individual pages. I'll just keep it there until they do get removed. During the 1970s/1980s, for the record, the PBA dont used the Word "Cup", commentators nor sportswriters never called it All-Filipino Cup, its "Conference", try to be realistic and sensitive in giving infos, like it is during those days, Crispa and Toyota fans are reading this and they deserve a reliable source in PBA history, in the 1990s, particularly 1993-onwards, it's understandable the word "Cup" can be used now in the All-Filipino because of the change of tournament name.Edmon74 02:38, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

They're considered one of the major stations in the Philippines, together with Radio Pilipinas, what's the matter of this station? I never did vandalism on any pages of Wikipedia. I was just improving it, and the last time that I visit Studio 23's page, i found out that the info about it is false, no reliable source (the BBC thing) so I decided to delete those info and improve the page. ABS-CBN one year Tag

Hello! I just observed why abs-cbn is the only tag message in the Philippines. Why the other Philippine network like GMA Network and TV5 is also no tag, as well as no program reference of the said networks but why ABS-CBN. And other thing is not a blog site reference but came from the program TV show from the ABS-CBN website itself. So I just moved to current reference of present ABS-CBN show to know it. End of quote And one more thing, No official announcement for franchised of The Voice (Philippines) (A reality signing search of Endemol) for both ABS-CBN and Endemol. Hey, I notice you are CSDing some articles as hoax. How do you know they are hoaxes? As an american, it is not blatant to me that they are hoax. Is there some clue that is culturally specific there? The articles that I have nominated were created by a longtime Philippine TV vandal sockpuppet. I have already created an SPI for the said user (John Abento). ABS-CBN Dramas Removed Number of Episode tags

Hello! I was observed that you removed the number of episodes of the said TV shows mostly from ABS-CBN dramas. It is important to know the actual duration of the said show with actual episode counts after the end of the program which is counted in any drama or any TV shows which based on the US TV shows/series with complete details. Except some IP user allegedly vandalized advance episodes which is not air yet which is prohibited from the network itself(But I was surprised and shock). Instead edit for the last week/days episode a week ago and not the advance one! An honestly there no rule or law that prohibit to put the No. of episode. Puppyph (talk) 04:08, 28 November 2011

I have removed the number of episodes section in the infobox templates for all Philippine primetime shows because some anon keeps on using "future" dates. The anon frequently edits any show from ABS-CBN, GMA Network and TV5, and he/she adds the episode count usually one month ahead. This vandal has been editing here in Wikipedia since last year, and after several warnings, that guy just ignores them. PBA championships by team

I'm sorry but the 2003 Invitational is a special tournament I'm i right? so it is also NOT considered an official title like what you said about my Talk 'N Text.

The 2003 Invitational tournament is considered as a regular tournament by the PBA since this is the last year that they adopted the 3-conference format before reinstating that in 2010. The 1998 Centennial Cup however is a not a regular one. If you check out the records carefully, the team standings after the end of the elimination round of the Centennial Cup are carried over at the next tournament, the Governors' Cup. Removing Dragon2016

Hey, Dragon2016's chosen me as one of his targets for a reason I cannot comprehend, since I have never had past interactions with this user or their sock puppets. I have to admit that I find his harassment tiresome even after a day of it and I'd like to look into a permanent fix. Do you think it would be possible to block his I.P. range? Based on my experience, he is using a 120.28.xxx.xxx IP range, which affects many users. I did a little investigating and I discovered that the I.P. address of 121.54.32.111 is a likely sock puppet of Dragon2016. The edits are incredibly similar with the incoherent nature and Dragon2016 removed material that would likely be considered unflattering to his cause. I have done my best to report this guy to the admins. Blocking this guy permanently will be difficult since he is using different IPs. I believe I have uncovered several of Dragon2016's older sockpuppets, located at 121.54.32.xxx, which is registered to PLDT in the Philippines. The addresses targeted several Filipino articles, as well as Friendster and Dota 2. There were a couple curious details about this user, however, that I wanted to share with you. The 121.54.32.xxx addresses reverted the edits from one another in short unison, with bizarre statements, such as "You behave" and referring to Dota 2 and Friendster as "him" and "her", respectively. It was probably a ploy to confuse, but the writing style was unmistakeable. The other curious detail was that these addresses have vandalized your page in the past, which explains the long-standing feud with this retarded editor, even after more than three years. With this new evidence, I theorize that our sockpuppeteer is not primarily identified as Dragon2016, but as Dico Calingal, who was permanently blocked three times in early 2009. I disagree that Dico and Dragon2016 are the same person. I have been monitoring Dico long before Dragon2016 began his wrath here. Dico always edits any article that relates to GMA Network, a major television network here in the Philippines and Philippine numismatic articles (Banknotes of the Philippine peso, etc.). You can check out his contributions in Wikipilipinas, a Filipino Wikipedia fork. Plus, Dragon2016's IP addresses originates from Cebu province. The Kapamilyanovelas (Official) facebook page is moderated by ABS-CBN Promo specialist head Lota Rosales and all the asianovelas that has been listed have been confirmed either through that website or have been officially announced by ABS-CBN through teasers they have released including the ones I have given in the references section. The ABSTVPromo use of Youtube is operated by Lota Rosales and that video has been shown in ABS-CBN TV in the start of the year to confirm this, you may not know this because you are a 'Kapuso'. And further more most or some of the asianovelas have either one youtube reference and the other a reliable page that confirms that ABS-CBN has bought the rights of them. Tricia Santos seems to be added by other IPs as well. A Beautiful Affair with [7] by User talk:112.198.82.211 and [8] User talk:112.198.78.183. revision history five edits by 112.198.x.x. I have been doing searches for Tricia Santos periodically, deleting, and warning. However the warnings often do not accumulate as they are done by different IPs. Any suggestions? Hello there!!

I just observed that you revert edits both Global News Network and Global Pinoy Cinema of G Sat resulting adding official FB and Twitter sites of both channel. FYI, Both sites are true and official social networking sites according to G Sat (the owner of two channels) nether spam nor vandal edits. Another thing the the slogan of Global Pinoy Cinema's Sine Natin' To is real based on their official Facebook website (The main website of the said channel is not yet available. Both sites of two channels are currently display on their TV screen. Even STAR World and Fox Movies Premium displays their official FB or twitter itself without further any violation. I just observer some of the Theme songs mostly from the ABS-CBN Teleserye was removed due to unknown hoax IP user.
