Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Mindtree has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

June 2014

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Bangalore, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.  LeoFrank  Talk 04:29, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Bangalore, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you.  LeoFrank  Talk 04:29, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

over-tagging

Thanks for helping us deal with problems, but some of your recent tagging seems more enthusiastic than it is helpful. The tags on Blue Express just confused things, and A1 , which you used on Pipra Bidya is only for use when you cannot tell what the subject of the article is. Even "insufficient context", which you have used on several film articles, doesn't make much sense to me when an article is about a film, and the film has a specified (and notable) director and specified (and notable) actors. "News release" is appropriate for articles which come close to being advertisements, but not enough so for deletion, not for plain descriptions. Please concentrate ofn the major problems. Deletion of Aditya Music page

Hello. I would like to know the reason for deletion of Aditya Music in terms of regulations the article hasn't met. Girishgullapudi (talk) 10:05, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Girish. I couldn't find any 3rd party references for this company. Although the company existed it might be WP:TOOSOON as the only things i come across on a search engine are only instances of social networking sites which can't be considered as a reliable source. The only valid reference i found is of Believe Digital tying up with Aditya Music but that is not enough. I have no problem if you add more references and make the article more better. The more the better.Lakun.patra (talk) 11:58, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deletions

I have been looking at your recent deletion activity. I'm sorry but you seem to not be following notability guidelines or deletion guidelines. I suggest you stop all prods/nominations and familiarize yourself with the relevant guidelines. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:12, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

and at the very least, you need to make a thorough search for sources before nominating; the standard for deletion is that no referenes can be found to establish notability, not that there are no such references presently in the article. DGG ( talk ) 18:10, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
User:DGG, I just noticed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bachelor of Computer Application. The user does not seem to be responding to Talk page communication and is continuing to make no reference to notability or deletion guidelines. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:04, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I stopped tagging xfd to articles after you posted this. But these 2 articles i have tagged might either need to be re written or deleted all together. And your query on why i had withdraw nominations for Beda People, I don't want to delete any article if it can be improved. I tagged those as they already had been tagged for many years. But once i tagged the creator of the article responded and made many requisite changes.Hence withdrew nomination. But the above 1 you have mentioned is not a case of notability.I have mentioned "IT NEEDS A REWRITE".I do make mistakes and i am sorry for that but do check all my XFDs. Why most of them are deleted if i am wrong in nominating them?

Whitespace

Hi. Please don't add whitespace between section titles and the equal signs or between bullets and text. This is unnecessary as the wiki coding automatically spaces out the text. Richard Harvey (talk) 13:49, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Richard Harvey. Will take care of this in future.Lakun.patra (talk) 22:26, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Just found out that i did not add those whitespaces manually but was added when i cleaned the article using AutoEd. Please advise on whether or not to continue using this script.Lakun.patra (talk) 22:33, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, AutoEd should only do what you tell it to, which is why a user is responsible for what it does, when they use it. If it is doing things you don't know about then do not use it. Personally I only edit manually. Richard Harvey (talk) 01:22, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Patent nonsense

Re this edit: I don't think that's what the WP:CSD#G1 criteria is meant for. The article is clearly not gibberish: it's clear that the writer is expounding his personal belief system and what it means to be a good Muslim. The G1 criteria is meant for things like:

Kekd;a; kee;la d;aq d;vlad pj32 a;; ;a

or

I like the blue scent of hard fish.

Unfortunately, there is not a speedy deletion criterion that properly fits the category of "this is stuff I believe and I want to share it with the world." Which is why I had originally proposed the article for deletion. When the PROD was removed, my only option was AFD. I'll leave your speedy tag -- an admin might delete the article anyway -- but you should be careful with this tag in the future. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:39, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can add references to what you are trying to add in the article. Then it would be worth mentioning. Lakun.patra (talk) 08:11, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Most references would be to sources on the Archeage forums which Trion Worlds constantly deletes to make it appear as if their game is running smoothly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.122.222.54 (talk) 08:20, 9 January 2015 (UTC) Are you a paid employee of Trion? Thanks for helping my English spelling at SL ferries, the "r" in "headquarters" surelly is difficult for a person whose native language is Swedish (Scanian dialect). I usually self-patrol my larger edits after a week or so. During the first couple of days, reading my own text for grammar or spelling errors is next to impossible, as the mind kind of play some tricks. However this was an error I never would have found myself. Thanks again Boeing720 (talk) 00:59, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning vandals

Hi. Thanks for patrolling recent changes. I have blocked 80.42.139.70 (talk · contribs) after they disregarded your warning, but if a user or IP has no previous warnings you should not normally go straight to a Level 4 final warning - only in extreme cases like attack pages. Otherwise, if there have been no previous warnings, start on Level 1 (assuming good faith) or, if the edit is obviously not made in good faith, level 2. That would have been appropriate here. The warnings are listed at WP:VANDAL#Warnings. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:13, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. Will keep that in mind. Lakun.patra (talk) 19:15, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Assam floods, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chirang (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Tricks of the trade

If the language isn't obvious, drop it into Google Translate and select Detect language. If that doesn't come up with anything, drop a bit of the thing into Google. This can often give clues by the domain extensions, or other things. And if the whole bit comes up, you may well have a copyvio to tag... Peridon (talk) 14:11, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

Hi Lakun.patra. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Impressed

With the small amount of time that you have been registered you seem to be very prolific. Judging by your recent contributions to an article I just created last night, you also seem to be patrolling articles for vandalism, and nonsense etc., and take time to correct spelling and ad appropriate templates. Thank you for your help! Happy editing.--Mark Miller (talk) 18:05, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I can suggest a few things based on the talk page. If you see an article that you feel does not fit the criteria for notability and feel it does not need a stand alone, there are procedures that are within guidelines for merging without a proposal. It generally depends on if it will be a controversial or contentious merge that would be disputed or debated such as when there are active editors working on the article. You can also redirect an article without merging content if you feel it is already covered and there is no original content in the article instead of proposing a deletion if the title is an alternative search option such as a slightly different spelling that is still accurate but perhaps uses special characters (although the use of such characters is permitted, so sometimes it is better request an admin move non-controversial articles to merge the history) or vice versa. If you ever have questions about merging you can ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Merge.--Mark Miller (talk) 18:34, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the tips. Will be implementing these ASAp. Thanks. Lakun.patra (talk) 18:59, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My source is the Korean Movie Database entry for How to Steal a Dog [1], though the character names are in Hangul and I translated them into English for the film's Wikipedia article. I don't think it's necessary for each character/role listed in an actor's filmography to be referenced (and in Jo Eun-ji's case, none of them are). 103.14.60.55 (talk) 20:25, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You added a citation request to Kyakhta trade. My POV is that Wikipedia in currently adding too many footnotes. Footnotes are only needed when the information cannot be found in the index of the main source or there is some other problem. As far as I can see the article does not need more footnotes. February 2015

Information icon Hello Lakun.patra. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created, as you did at Broker maritime. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Turkey slap: I would like to understand why you reinstated unsupported controversial material

I would love to know the reason why my change was reverted, so I can avoid making whatever mistake it was in the future. I edited the article Turkey slap to remove ", also called Turkish slap". That phrase had been removed previously by another editor, but put back in my the original editor without comment. Sp I checked and confirmed, as the previous person who deleted it said, that it was not supported by any of the references, so I removed it again. I was surprised to see that you reverted my change, and put the unsupported phrase back in - can you help me to understand the reason for this please?--Gronk Oz (talk) 17:00, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lakun,
With regards to your recent reverting back of my changes in the section of 'Spelling and meaning of name' in the page Muttiah_Muralitharan. As much as I can agree with the requirement to provide suitable sources, but my edit was to denote a common knowledge of how Sanskrit names are represented in the Malayalam and Tamil languages. This would also clarify to the readers that 'Muralidharan' is also a common Malayalee Hindu name and not to be associated with the great Cricketer.
Without any offence intended, can I kindly request you to let more suitable reviewers with Malayalam or Tamil language knowledge to determine the validity of this edit, as it was based on the common knowledge amongst the speakers of these languages? Can I also add that this edit was on the origin of the name, rather than the person's life itself. There is a wiki page on how words are adopted from Sanskrit into Malayalam Malayalam#Words_adopted_from_Sanskrit for your reference, but I do not think you have to overload the reference section with this reference as it is not on the Cricketer's life.

Hi Prav82 Sorry for the delayed response. Everything on Wikipedia needs to be sourced. If not me some one else might question the authenticity. There is no problem in adding one more ref to the article. Wikipedia is accessed globally and any edit you make people from all over the world can see. So its better if you add source to the article even though it is not strongly related to the article. Lakun.patra (talk) 05:56, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited International Conference on Mechanical Industrial & Energy Engineering, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mechanical and Industrial (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Accidental Reversion

I had accidentally missclicked your edit and panicked, sorry about that. I was kinda hoping and praying the edit didnt go through since I immediately closed the popup page. Once again, sorry! Cnbr15 (talk) 14:30, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind Cnbr15. It happens. Anyways if you see that you have committed a mistake then you can revert back your own edit also. There is no need to panic. Anywayz Happy Editing. Lakun.patra (talk) 14:32, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A question

Hi Lakun, thank you for your edit over East India Comedy, I noticed that you put ' ' at some places in the article. May I know what it is and why did you do that? I wanted to learn about it so just asked. Keep up the good work. Mr RD 09:26, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mr RD please check Wikipedia:Line-break handling. This is used to prevent word wraps in an article. But adding the non breaking space wont change the layout of the article. Thanks. Lakun.patra (talk) 10:49, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Change Foundation UK - page deletion and help

Hi Lakun - thanks for your speedy work on deleting the article I was trying to create. I have just started in Wikipedia and am very much a beginner. Could you please find it in yor heart to restore that page so that I can practise creating articles and using Wikipedia without fear of deletion. Al (Al Ramsay (talk) 14:09, 18 March 2015 (UTC))[reply]

HI Al Ramsay. First of all welcome to Wikipedia. Articles on Wikipedia needs to have a minimum content or else will be speedily deleted. If you need to practice editing or need more time to write an article having substantial content then you can use your sandbox. Thank you. Lakun.patra (talk) 14:14, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lakun.patra - OK thank you for the advice. Does that mean I can still have access to that page whilst I practice? How do I get it back from deletion once I have practiced and am ready for possible publication? Thanks Al (Al Ramsay (talk) 15:03, 18 March 2015 (UTC))[reply]

If there was anything significant you can ask the administrator who deleted it to restore and move it to draft. But that also has so many things after which they may give access. Another thing is you can start from scratch and write it in your sandbox. Lakun.patra (talk) 19:56, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks much

Fairy Tail episode title

You reverted the change to the Fairy Tail episode title "Fairy Tail of the Dead Meeeeeeeeen" (and for some reason, the episode synopsis of the episode that had just aired last night), asking for a source. However, I'm simply putting in what is written in the official Funimation subtitles accompanying the title card for next week's episode. Here's a screen grab if you don't believe me. User:Immblueversion (talk) 15:07, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's not about believing you User:Immblueversion. But everything on wikipedia needs to be properly sourced. So i reverted back. You can go forward and add it. Thanks. Lakun.patra (talk) 03:43, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned Lion Rock Spirit

Hello, I am Desmond. Thank you for reviewing our page Lion Rock Spirit. I have noticed that you have considered our page as an orphan. After noticing this problem, I have tried to add Further information, Further readings, See also, categories, and a box showing the Hong Kong topics to the page. Do you think this is enough to consider our page as deorphanaged? If otherwise, please give us some suggestions to improve the page. Thank you.

Gpa4444 (talk) 07:06, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gpa4444 Orphan means that it is not linked from any other page. You can check by checking the "What links here" and see if the article is linked from any other article. Be advised that linking from talk pages or disambig pages does not means that the article is not Orphan. It should be linked from mainspace articles only. Lakun.patra (talk) 09:03, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. I have noticed that Lion Rock Spirit is mentioned in the page Below the Lion Rock. It is also mentioned in the page in Chinese, translated as the core values in Hong Kong. How can the Lion Rock Spirit article be link to other articles that are related to our article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gpa4444 (talkcontribs) 09:34, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on FELIX BINOBO requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. RichardOSmith (talk) 09:05, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi RichardOSmith I am not the author of the article. This was a page move done by me due to Naming convention. I have tagged the subsequent article. Lakun.patra (talk) 09:10, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies; it looks like our edits coincided causing Twinkle to tag the wrong page an notify the wrong user. Thanks for sorting it out! RichardOSmith (talk) 09:15, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. Cheers. Lakun.patra (talk) 09:16, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RE:March 2015

Information icon Hello, Lakun.patra. I acknowledged your message. But this time, original description of its content was the same thing for my version. However, someone changed it, and it hasn't reliable source too. That isn't a fair treatment, I think. So don't you think my versions are better than current version? Thank you.!--1.242.229.245 (talk) 13:14, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 1.242.229.245 Sorry for the inconvenience but everything on Wikipedia needs to be sourced properly. Can you tell me the exact article and the content for which you think sources are not present? Lakun.patra (talk) 13:17, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Here is [2]. Juzumaru couldn't presented reliable reason, source, and even he was blocked for his view on Korea. I understand that it's a difficult to reliable. Won Gyun joined this battle, but his role is of little importance, and I think it needs to recorded one person who played a major role in the battle in that case.--1.242.229.245 (talk) 13:36, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 article described as "British naval fleet led by Admiral Horatio Nelson defeats", it is not mentioned about the other commanders. IMO, A representative man in Battle of Hansan should be changed the same sense like 1805 article. Thanks.--1.242.229.245 (talk) 23:42, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

IPs

This may not interest you, so if it doesn't, just ignore it. You warned an IP a little while ago for an edit to an article on my watchlist. I clicked on the WHOIS link to see what I could find, and noted that there was an acronym and a website link. That turned out to be an educational internet supplier, so I then added that name as a shared educational IP to the IP's talk page. And then, as I'm an Admin, did a school block. When we can identify an IP address with an organisation we can be pretty sure that blocking it will help as the IP address isn't likely to be assigned to someone else shortly. A bit of detective work is sometimes involved, which can be fun. Dougweller (talk) 19:33, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi Jerodlycett I am not the author of the article. Lakun.patra (talk) 18:27, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but I saw you were one of the few editors, figured if you had an opinion you should be allowed to give it. Jerodlycett (talk) 18:33, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Question: I thought once a page is reviewed, one can remove the tag. What have i misunderstood about this process? Thanks. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 05:33, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No you got me wrong. Actually I had serious doubt about its notability. So unreviewed it so that some one with better knowledge can look into it. What i feel is that it may not be able to steer clear of A7. Lakun.patra (talk) 05:40, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
