Welcome!

Hello, Roborule, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that you have an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.

Did you know that:

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  ES&L 23:50, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Template:Europe-actor-stub

I undid your proposed deletion to Template:Europe-actor-stub as the template is in use. To find out what uses it, click on "What links here" under the Toolbox tab on the left gray area. I also deleted a bunch of stuff the previous editor added. Make sure to remove all editing tests, vandalism, etc. To do this, go to the "View history" tab, click on the round "radio button" on the left column on the edit just prior to the experimenter's group of changes. Then click on the right "radio button" on the last of the editors group of changes. Click on "Compare selected versions". This will show a "Diff" of the changes before the first edit and the last edit. If you want to undo these, click "undo" near the top of the right column headed by "Latest revision as of...". I would recommend doing a "Show preview" to make sure that is what you want. Enter an wp:edit summary and click "Save page". Again, check the page to make sure you did the "right thing". Thanks for working on this problem! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:03, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Apologies, I am rather new. Thanks for fixing my mistake. Roborule (talk) 05:06, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Make sure to remove all the vandalism. Removing only part of it will mask it from other editors as they will assume you cleaned it fully. I removed more from shit bag, but it was also revisited by the vandal. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:20, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
For 'citation needed', just add {{cn|date=October 2013}}, or just {{cn}} and the 'bot will add the date later. See template:citation needed Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 06:16, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Southern to Northern

Hello,

you changed Southern to Northern in the Infobox of Radeon HD 7000 Series. But in the article and references it is all about Southern Islands. --DrSeehas (talk) 14:39, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Fixed. Roborule (talk) 18:03, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Ups sorry

Sorry, you reverted the other user just before me, and I hit you instead. Christian75 (talk) 21:45, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Oh haha, it's fine. Roborule (talk) 21:46, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to adoption

Hi! You are now enrolled at my adoption school. Your official 'adoption page' is located at User:Pol430/Adoption/Roborule.

My adoption school works in a similar way to a conventional education course. Your adoption page is the Wikipedia equivalent of your exercise book. I will set you a series of assignments—there are 7 in total. The assignments will start with a list of material to read through; once you have read this, I will post a number of questions for you to answer, on the subject(s) you have just read about. I will review your answers and provide you with feedback. When you have answered all the questions and any followup questions, you will receive a grade for that assignment. Your assignments will be graded, with a grade from A* to C. If you do not complete an assignment to a satisfactory standard, you will be asked to re-sit that assignment. In your first assignment (which I have already assigned to you) you will learn about The Five Pillars of Wikipedia.

Once you have completed all the assignments satisfactorily, I will set you a final examination. Once you pass your final exam, you will receive your graduation certificate. Depending on your grades throughout the school, you may graduate with one of three honors! See the adoption school main page for more info.

Please leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Pol430 talk to me 22:08, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure what time-zone you're on but I'm on United Kingdom time and it's about bedtime here. If you have a read through your adoption page I'll set you're first set of questions tomorrow evening. There's no time limit with the adoption school, you get to learn at your own pace :) Pol430 talk to me 22:11, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, I am on CST. (for future reference) Roborule (talk) 23:46, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi Roborule, I've set your first set of questions on your adoption page. Nothing too difficult for this first assignment. Answer when you can. Pol430 talk to me 18:45, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I have completed the first assignment. Roborule (talk) 21:00, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
Great stuff, all correct. I have added your next assignment. Please read through it and follow as many of the blue links as possible to read more about the topics they refer to. I'll set your questions within the next 48 hours. Pol430 talk to me 16:21, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
I have added your next set of questions on your adoption page, good luck! Pol430 talk to me 15:59, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

AfC

Please do not review articles until you have sufficient experience - usually several thousand edits. As a result, I'm going to rollback your reviews for a more experienced editor to review. Thanks, buffbills7701 20:10, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Raise Your Pints

Raise Your Pints is a non-profit organization that should be at least noted on wikipedia for existing in the State of Mississippi. They do not profit from any promotions and do not see wikipedia as a way to promote the non-profit group but instead educate the rest of the world on craft beer culture. They would like to be placed on wikipedia for informational purposes only.

RYP is very similar to "Free the Hops" Alabama and should be noted in the Mississippi craft beer culture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soupermirl (talkcontribs) 02:31, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the article which I viewed would have required a fundamental rewrite in order to be considered non-promotional. If you believe that Raise Your Pints should have a article, I suggest you use the AfC process. Keep in mind, that Raise Your Pints must conform to the Wikipedia notability guidelines. (WP:N) If it does not, it can not have a standalone article. If you have any further questions, please leave another message on this talk page. P.S. Please remember to sign all posts on talk pages with four tildes. Roborule (talk) 03:20, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm new to this. I'll take a look and revise to standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soupermirl (talkcontribs) 04:17, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for attempting to engage at User talk:Androoox. Unfortunately I started off on the wrong foot with the editor by templating their summaryless reverts rather than engaging with text. The editor is obviously heated so I suggest disengaging to let them relax for at least a day or two, as I plan to do. Thanks again for your feedback and patrols; see you around! VQuakr (talk) 04:32, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Will do, see your around. Cheers! Roborule (talk) 04:35, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

About Sneha Shikshana Samsthe

Dear friend I kindly apologies for the mistake that has been done by me. Surely I will remove that particular link which you told that related to fundrising. But I have no intention related to rise our funds through Wikipedia. I surely agree that this is the knowledge sharing site. I regret for the mistake. Rsullia (talk) 12:23, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

It is perfectly acceptable for users from time to time make mistakes. The article likely sounded promotional in nature, and as such it was deleted. If you decide to create the article again, I strongly suggest using the AfC process. Roborule (talk) 14:53, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

North American Theatre Online

Hello, in response to your revert ..I listed the claimer about the AlexanderStreet site in the citations because my experience is that the site has a sign in page in public libraries or people's at home computers. This should not deter those seeking it's use, for the site has great info and original portraits. I use several universities computers and the site is available. Some web sites including NATO are available at institutions for no cost. Thanks.Koplimek (talk) 14:42, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Pending changes at Armuchee High School

Hi! As a reviewer you are allowed to approve or reject pending changes. Why did you approve the addition of Tyler Wilson to the notable section? It was not wikilinked, he has no article and as a minor league only baseball player he is not notable. For a person to appear in a notable list at either a school or a community, several conditions must be met. They either must have an article to wikilink to or the entry must have enough references to support the creation of an article that would pass the notability standard at WP:BIO. In addition, their article must have referenced content showing their connection to the school or place or a reference must be provided to show that.

The reason this article was put on pending change was due to persistent insertion of this name, along with others. Along with power comes responsibility. John from Idegon (talk) 17:59, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I will admit that the earlier error was due to a lapse in my judgement at the time. It has been quite the while since I was actively reviewing on Wikipedia, and while that is no excuse it may serve as an explanation. I will be taking no action on the page, as I believe you have already made the necessary revisions to the article in question. Thank you, Roborule (talk) 05:04, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Deletion Question

Hi Roborule. I'm new here and still adjusting to code & formatting. I posted an ANI page noting that I was being harrassed by a user, though it was deleted for being too short. Could you please elaborate on what materials were missing? Thank you!Froggie19Dude (talk) 19:56, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, the issue is not that it is too short but simply not in the right place. I believe you meant to make it in the WP:ANI, and I'd encourage you to go there to file your report. Roborule (talk) 19:57, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Rollback

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 16:04, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination

Hello! I just wanted to apologize, yes indeed it is to be deleted (the Roy Khoury page) In fact, I was in the process of googling exactly how to do it. Sharp eye! Can you pretty please delete it for me? Thank you in advance! And sorry for the immaturity, I had to prove a point to him, got him to laugh, success!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bgirlmeow (talkcontribs) 02:43, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

In general, you should try and avoid making articles like this in the future as it is generally frowned upon. Articles can only be deleted by an administrator, so the article will remain until one of them deletes it. On a side note please sign posts on talk pages using four tildes (~) Thanks, Roborule (talk) 02:49, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
