The HTC One X (codename HTC Edge and HTC Endeavor) is a quad-core smartphone designed by HTC. It runs Android 4.0 mobile operating system with an HTC Sense graphical user interface. The HTC One X was announced on the 26th February, 2012, at the Mobile World Congress.[5] Whilst the One X is HTC's flagship device, early benchmark tests suggest that the duel-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 in the One V may actually a superior processor to the One X's NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core.[6] The HTC One XL (to be released only in the US) also contains the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4.
Hardware
Processor, memory, and storage
The international version has a 1.5 GHz 4-Plus-1 quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 with a fifth Battery Saver Core. In the United States and Canada it will carry a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 due to incompatibility between the Tegra 3 and LTE and will be named HTC One XL.[4] It should also be noted that the United States AT&T version and in Canada the Rogers version will only have 16GB of storage.[7]
The image processor is HTC's ImageChip, a part used in common with other devices in the HTC One series.[8]
Audio
The device comes with Beats by Dr. Dre audio and headphones.[9]
Camera
The rear camera is f/2 and 8 megapixels with smart LED flash, and BSI sensor and can autofocus in 0.2 seconds which can take four digital photos per second while watching videos or movies.[8][9][10] It can shoot video in 1080p.[9] Shooting modes include High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Panorama.[8]
The front camera is 1.3 megapixels.[9]
Software
The interface is HTC Sense 4.0 overlaid on Android 4.0.3.[8]
Variations
One XL
The One XL is almost identical physically although the XL is slightly longer by 0.04mm . The main difference is the hardware, the XL has 4G LTE, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and 16Gb of internal memory.
One X Deluxe Edition
The One X Deluxe Edition, exclusive to Taiwan and includes a pair of Beats Solo headphones.[11]
