Revision as of 02:16, 26 May 2011

Note: This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions nor to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as CSD G6), or in articles for deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other XfD processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

this is not my image, needed for article, I will fix the licensing, thank you! -Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 03:58, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not having seen the image, I can't yet hazard a guess. If it's a promo shot, it's out, if it's self-taken, I can do something with it.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 10:42, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Claims to be a cover from Tokyo Samurai Magazine. The picture was a very fuzzy image of a woman's face looking slightly to the right. Mouth slightly open with top teeth visible. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:09, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PaceButler Corporation

I believe PaceButler Corporation Wikipedia page should be undeleted because it is a legitimate company that has been in business for almost 25 years with a good track record. They are a notable business and should be recognized through avenues such as wikipedia. Any questionable links, submissions, etc. will be immediately changed and/or deleted. There is no intent to promote or advertise PaceButler Corporation through Wikipedia. I would like to state what the company does, length of service with references to support the company on your site. Any submission that was considered advertising or promotion was not intended in that matter and again, will be deleted or changed. Thank you for your consideration. -ChameleonMarket (talk) 15:08, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning companies. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning companies will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject.
Looks like you've had a couple of tries at it, and the article still reads like an advertisement. I'd suggestion you read WP:FIRST, then try a version at WP:Article Incubator. When you think you've got it right, ask for constructive feedback there before making a request at WP:RFPP to have the new version moved over. It should be noted that "Chameleon Marketing" is a PR company working via social media; the account is a spam/role account and is being blocked.Orange Mike | Talk 18:53, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Strategy of the Dolphin

Strategy of the Dolphin: Scoring a Win in a Chaotic World (Morrow, hardcover; Fawcett Columbine, paper) is not an obscure work. The book was a Literary Guild alternate selection, has been published in three German and two United Kingdom editions and in French, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, Hungarian and Turkish. The German edition of Strategy of the Dolphin (Paidia Verlag) ranked No. 5 on the German business book bestseller list and No. 1 on the self-growth book bestseller list and has just been issued in its third printing. In France, Strategy rose to No. 3 on business-book bestseller lists and recently had its second printing. The book has hundreds of favorable citations on google.com. One of the most recent is this one on NewsnetScotland: http://www.newsnetscotland.com/economy/2424-what-do-we-do-about-the-sharks.html} For other highly positive references to the work, see these Wikipedia entries: Strategic management, Whole brain literacy, Marketing warfare strategies and Clare W. Graves. Also see these links for comments on the efficacy of the dolphin strategy model: http://www.brainmeup.com/blog/2006/05/struggling-with-the-sharks/ and http://www.brainmeup.com/blog/2005/10/nurses-and-dolphin-strategy/ } -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mind quester (talkcontribs) 23:14, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Giad industrial group is considered the biggest industrial complex in Sudan. It produces almost everything people need, from wheat floor to tractor and buses. It also employees thousands of people. I would like to have to article restored to me user space so I can improve it. Thank you. -Eltaibzh (talk) 13:56, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. The page in your userspace was a copyright violation, being material copied from the company's website at www.giad.com. Wikipedia cannot host copyright information, even in userspace, unless a formal copyright release has been made. In any case material taken from a website is likely to be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, being too promotional and/or too detailed, and lacking the independent references need to show notability. You would do best to write an article in your own words, with references to show significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. JohnCD (talk) 10:47, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. As explained on your talk page, the article was deleted because it was a copyright violation, copied from http://leonardkaye.webs.com/. Wikipedia cannot host copyright material - see Wikipedia:Copy-paste - unless a formal copyright release has been made. I have deleted from above here the same material which you copied again. Material copied from a website is in any case likely to be too promotional for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view and references to show significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. You would do best to write an article in your own words, but first read WP:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 10:31, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article was deleted from userspace draft under (R2: Cross-namespace redirect from mainspace). Live page was deleted when it was under revision as spam. There was no intention of spam or advertising. India as a rising superpower

reasoning - Neilpine (talk) 07:31, 19 May 2011 (UTC) This artical made by me was recently proposed for delation by users User:MrGRA and User:Swedish_pirate and has been deleted. The reason given that the format was messy and had nationalistic characteristics. I do beleive this was not well formated but it is not reason to be set for deletion again and again. I believe that the given in time any article can be well put to the regular standards by other contributing users. I do not however believe that anywhere in the article there were any nationalistic issues that were brought up in the discussion page. I also believe that page in detail stands on its own from the page Potential Superpowers. I would also like to make an argument that the users proposing and in favor of the page getting deleted were all european and micht have some antisemitism towards Indians. I would like the admin to consider to undelete the page.[reply]

Not done. This article was redirected to the "India" section of Potential superpowers after being deleted at a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/India as a rising superpower, following earlier deletion with other articles after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/China as an emerging superpower (fourth nomination). As stated at the head of this page, articles deleted after a deletion discussion cannot be restored here: you should first approach user KillerChihuahua (talk), the admin who closed the discussion and then, if you are not satisfied, you can take it to WP:Deletion review. Seven Group

This article was deleted two months ago via an expired PROD tag ("The article is not notable, no in-line references"). Not done You tried something that neither worked nor would be the appropriate way to improve the article. So I had to revert your edit and also removed the text here. As you probably noticed, your previous addition had been removed as well. The article of yours may or may not be a good source for some info but it shouldn't be simply pasted as it is something different than what we're trying to do here. Page was unnecessarily deleted. Subject is a well-known artist who happened to just release a new piece of work a mere days ago. Notoriety and significance are very strong. Group is represented by one of the most well-known agencies in the world, runs a record label, and has had articles written by various credible online news outlets in recent months such as yahoo, tmz, and several others. They also hold claim as the only DJ/Live Band group in all of North America, and have been featured on television for years.

University of Santo Tomas seals and emblems

It got deleted because: it was defined as a glorified non-free image gallery and it failed to establish notability. I may have enough content to fill in the article. Please, let me try and edit the article.

I'm not sure if this is the place for the article. At the beginning of this page, it says it include articles that have been deleted through - articles for deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator, but on the next page, it says - If your article was deleted through the articles for deletion process, then it cannot be restored here. I apologize for not knowing what's obvious. Thanks -Pampi1010 (talk) 03:43, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done That's indeed not put well, but Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/University of Santo Tomas seals and emblems has some reasonable participation and a clear result. In which case I can put it to User:Pampi1010/University of Santo Tomas seals and emblems where you can improve it. Just note that fair use rationales don't apply to user space. Since the deleting admin isn't active you can bring it to deletion review if you can add some good sources. In case of doubt drop me a note. --Tikiwont (talk) 20:27, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted by an user (User:Wizardman) who is currently not active. The reason mentioned for deletion is self-promotion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Erl). He has written maximum number of books on SOA and is world famous in SOA related areas. world famous salmon celebration -194.144.3.195 (talk) 01:02, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Either you're joking or you somehow got confused about which page you were requesting undeletion of. While the page was deleted through a prod, which would normally be granted here, since the page was about a footballer and not a "salmon celebration", you're going to need to clarify your request.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:10, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An edit war recently raged at Banknotes of the Indonesian rupiah over how many fair use images can be used in the article, resulting in the page being protected until May 25 on a version without the images. Alas, this rendered the vast majority of the images orphans, resulting in them being nuked on May 20. There is a host of discussions all over the place on the copyright status of the images, which may in fact all be PD or free (see eg. [5], [6], [7]), as well as an RFC on how many fair use banknotes are acceptable; but in the meantime, can we restore the images under their original fair use license, and ideally ensure that they're not nuked as orphans for at least a month of two? The lost images are linked in from this revision. Jpatokal (talk) 12:30, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted in 2008 by User:Lifebaka but the article was about a law firm that does exist - not sure why it was deleted. The firm's Web site is www.gpmlaw.com. Sent a request to the user to undelete the article but the request was unsuccessful. -207.67.87.22 (talk) 15:52, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ontario Pioneer Camp

Ontario Pioneer Camp is an established organization with a great reputation for providing an exceptional camping experience. I do not understand why it was deleted. -76.224.4.176 (talk) 02:16, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
