Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions nor to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

ERGO

Please UNdelete ERGO wikipedia page. It was deleted by speedy deletion. Did not have opportunity to revisit the page until now, to make edits to the ERGO page (U.S. non-profit organization), only to find it was deleted. Will re-edit page so it is 'acceptable" to the community. Thanks. -SilverLiner (talk) 01:49, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Not done Any articles will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Non-profits by themselves may be noble, but with assertion of notability, they may not meet the requirements for Wikipedia. I would suggest creating a WP:USERSPACEDRAFT, and then checking with the deleting admin before proceeding (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:08, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Understood. Could you please MOVE the deleted ERGO Wikipedia page -AND- the deleted Euthanasia Research & Guidance Organization Wikipedia page to the SilverLiner userspace. Then some can contribute edits and repair the contents so the page conforms to Wikipedia community guidelines. I would not request such if a copy of the deleted page content was available. Thanks. Bryan Baker (musician)

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:BB.BBMusic&diff=0&oldid=466878035

We are very unclear as to the deletion of this very accurate and documented Wiki page for the acclaimed jazz musician and author, Bryan Baker. Our agency hired a professional copywriter skilled in Wiki content to create and upload the Wiki for this artist and all content, dates, awards recordings performances are 100% true and correct. Please advise as to how we can recreate the page or make the necessary corrections. -24.255.43.214 (talk) 16:33, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted because it was promotional. It selectively quoted praise to give a good impression. Wikipedia is actually an encyclopedia and so needs a different kind of writing. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:28, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done and will not be done Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Bryan Baker (musician). While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Whoever you hired was not skilled or professional, and has been blocked. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:07, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Marcwebbdirector.jpg

I had a administrator that recommended me to request in this page that the image on the fact that the image did more than simply "show a camera", but instead showed a notable director himself working with the camera in one of it's first use in a feature film... and explain that the deleting admin inadvertantly erred in that THAT depiction has no free equivalent, which suggests that the deleting admin might not have read the expanded FUR. I could also not find a substitute for such a image for the filming section like the guidelines they reference should suggest. Jhenderson 777 01:49, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That admin was me. The question in NFCC #1 on which deletion relied is "Could the subject be adequately conveyed by properly sourced text without using the non-free content at all?" What was overlooked in the speedy was that the argument for its use was not that it was simply a picture of a camera (which would have been likely replacable by a free image), but rather that it was an image showing a notable director actually using a specific camera in its first-time-use-ever in a feature film. In looking for citable sources toward this specific circumstance myself, I was unable to find any that dealt with the instance... making the image unique in its conveyance of information for our readers. Simply put, and included in the FUR, the image provided encyclopedic information that could not be replaced by properly sourced text. I too, request its refund. Can you explain how it meets the WP:BAND requirement? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:14, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, BBC radio coverage Radio 6 , A BBC Radio profile on the band, published releases. Direct work related links to notable musicians/radio DJ's. Also, the Musicians in the article for the band in question already have a band page for things they did in the past which was accepted on lesser notability? Rumpus (band) also if you look at that link you'l see that Danny Lowe Also is a member of british band Babybird. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sir fritzgerald 3rd (talkcontribs) 10:50, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

this band contains founding members of bands that already have submitted pages, Rumpus (band) and Babybird (see article) They are also linked to BBC radio 6 and Steve Lamacq (see article) also Jon Mcclure from the band Reverend and the makers has had some involvement with this band (see article) They have been given a BBC radio 6 web page now which has been correctly referenced (see article and reference link) This also proves they are being played on a notable radio station. Ruger_Red_Label

deletion justification states that it is for "Article about a company, corporation, organization, or group, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject", however, the page would not (or should not) have been about the Ruger corporation, but rather a specific shotgun it manufactures called the "Red Label" which was continuously manufactured for more than 30 years and has at least as much significance as other Ruger firearms which are more heavily documented @ Wikipedia. w/o page history available cannot review content for value or validity. Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Please do not write an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Jermel Wilson. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:26, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Tgeairn (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days to which you could contribute. You need to add references to the article showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish notability, see also WP:NACTOR. IMDb is not considered a reliable source; nor are other Wikipedias; the other articles do not seem any better sourced than this one. Most of the article is about her famous family and ancestors, but (a) all that is unsourced, and WP:BLP says that unsourced information about living persons should be removed, and (b) notability is not inherited. uncontested deletion -Apoorv020 (talk) 08:06, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article is about a living person, an author, and was speedy deleted back in 2009 based on notability. I recreated the article in 2010, but in 2011, the article was deleted again based on this original deletion. Nobody else seems to have participated in the deletion process, so I request the article be undeleted to allow me to address these concerns. At the very least, can I get a copy of the article which I can improve in my own namespace.

Userfied - the page has been restored to the userspace at user:Apoorv020/Mark Charan Newton. Terrence Ingram

Deleted via speedy deletion, failure to indicate why it is significant.

Would you please undelete this article. It's about a notable author, researcher, and activist. There are numerous verified sources in the original article, linking to his publications, as well as the recent news coverage of his interactions with the Department of Agriculture. I will clean up if needed, but I'm unsure how someone with numerous books, articles, and significant activity to help save the bald eagle would be considered insignificant. - — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Thalia42 (talkcontribs)

Not done No, there were no such links ... some google searches that didn't really show anything, and a link to a photobook on Amazon. Indeed, there's little claim to notability whatsoever, which led to its deletion. You might want to try making a wP:USERSPACEDRAFT or use the Articles for Creation process, but read WP:FIRSTARTICLE before starting. (Just a by-the-way: there are more bald eagles in Ear Falls, Ontario than in all of the US .... they don't need all that much saving) (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:48, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Would you please send it to my sandbox in that case. FWIW, the bald eagle was on the threatened species list in 1967, and the population rebuilt after DDT was banned. Ingram's research was on the effects of DDT cumulatively, back in the 1960s. Citing today's numbers on the bald eagle is irrelevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thalia42 (talkcontribs) 19:12, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the World Wide Pharmacy Association should not have been deleted. Their members get to use the association seals on their web pages. This group also donates to the poor in Mexico with free medication.

Deeds of large companies have nothing to do with the deletion of Mad Gringo Hot Sauce. Although the promotional style of writing could have been fixed, there was also no claim of importance in the deleted page. Since you are involved in the topic, I suggest that if you want to write about it you use WP:AFC to create it, with a list of newspaper references, and then expand by saying what they wrote about.
