Appletiser is a sparkling soft drink originating in Elgin, South Africa. It is manufactured and distributed by Coca-Cola in other places like the UK and Australia.

History

Appletiser is an international beverage company with offices in the United Kingdom, USA, Asia and Africa. The Appletiser brand is owned by SAB Miller. Appletiser’s head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa and its main production and R&D facilities are in the fruit growing district of Elgin, Western Cape, in the mountains around Cape Town.

In the United Kingdom, Appletiser used to be called Appletise. People often called it Appletiser by mistake and the name eventually changed to that. Appletiser and Peartiser used to sponsor the TV show Friends on the digital channel E4 before Radox became the sponsors. In 2008 they were the sponsors of Sex and the City, on Paramount TV.

Ingredients

Appletiser, Peartiser and Grapetiser are all 100% pure fruit juice and contain no added sugar, preservatives or artificial colourants whether bottled in glass or plastic bottles.^[1]

Shelf life: 275ml, 330ml and 750ml bottles: 12 month shelf life

1.25l and 350ml: *5 months shelf life

Packaging: Appletiser is available in 3 different pack formats:

330ml can

275ml and 750ml glass bottles

350ml and 1.25l plastic bottle

Offshoots of Appletiser

The manufacturer also produces 'Red Grapetiser', 'White Grapetiser', and 'Peartiser'. In the UK only there is also a range of products called Fruitiser. Fruitiser comes in 3 different flavour combinations; Pomegranate & Raspberry, Mango & Mandarin, Apple & Dragonfruit. The range of products currently includes a 750ml glass bottle, 275ml glass bottle a 330ml can and more recently a 350ml plastic bottle, as well as multipacks of small bottles (4pks) and cans (6pks).
