I want to revive this article as a redirect page, and I also want to use the content that I had put on the deleted article on my upcoming draft page of the same name. The article was deleted because it wasn't through with production yet, and I want to revive this as a redirect page until some time when the film comes closer towards its release date that I can then integrate the draft into the redirect page and make it into an article. Revision as of 06:32, 2 January 2018

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7, G4, G5 or G11 be undeleted here.

Note that requests for undeletion are not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

    Instructions for special cases

    Deidre Costello (actress)

I simply couldn't believe she had even been considered for deletion. 89 separate credits on IMDB; a key member of the cast of I didn't know you cared. No wonder Wikipedia is not always given the credit it deserves. A shocking omission!Bashereyre (talk) 15:28, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bashereyre: Where is the deletion discussion? I see nothing at Deidre Costello. What makes you think someone deleted this? If this article has never been written then of course you can start it. Blue Rasberry (talk) 17:30, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    @Bluerasberry: Because it was misspelt.
Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. IMDb is not an acceptable source, and we don't accept notability-by-osmosis as an argument. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 20:36, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Surely when considering the deletion of an article it would be appropriate to see if editors who regularly and consistently edit articles about related subjects (in this case acting, british television, situation comedies) rate this as a suitable article for WP. What seems to have happened here is that no-one in the deletion debates has those skills. WP is not perfect, but in this case the The Wisdom of Crowds\wisdom of crowds has not worked. Bashereyre (talk) 10:56, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Did you read the deletion debate at all? All that matters is whether Wikipedia's core inclusion criteria (WP:Notability and/or WP:NACTOR in this case) are met. The AfD ran for almost a month and was relisted three times. If nobody came out to try and defend it, it's on them for not paying attention. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:26, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deirdre Costello (actress), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MBisanz (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Hut 8.5 14:24, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Zoe Strimpel

This page was deleted because in May 2015, the subject did not meet the requirement of notability for authors. Since then, Zoe Strimpel has been writing as full time columnist for the Telegraph in the UK. This makes her notable notable by Wikipedia's standards. —Rgonsalv (talk) 01:03, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Restore legitimate image that was properly uploaded by me, complying with WP:FUR. —Kailash29792 (talk) 02:59, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • @Kailash29792: the image was deleted because it wasn't being used in any articles. On 16 December somebody removed it from the article where it was being used (Kuruvi) and replaced it with another one. Fair use images have to be used in at least one article so your image was deleted. We can restore it if it is going to be put back in the article. Hut 8.5 17:55, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Steal the Night

I created this article about Cindy Bullens' second album, "Steal the Night", produced by Cindy herself and Mark Doyle that was unknown years ago since 1979 that nobody had before with new information I provided behind that album nobody talked about, so instead of you deleting this article, I suggest you should make improvements to this article, please. Julia Mora

I strongly believe that the Julia Mora article met Wikipedia criteria of a celebrity. (Celebrity refers to the fame and public attention accorded by the mass media to individuals or groups or, occasionally, animals, but is usually applied to the persons or groups of people (celebrity couples, families, etc.) themselves who receive such a status of fame and attention. Celebrity status is often associated with wealth (commonly referred to as fame and fortune), while fame often provides opportunities to earn revenue.

Successful careers in sports and entertainment are commonly associated with celebrity status,[1][2] while political leaders often become celebrities. People may also become celebrities due to media attention on their lifestyle, wealth, or controversial actions, or for their connection to a famous person.and then click the "Publish changes" button below —2600:8801:2B00:CE0:38CC:B27C:6292:C435 (talk) 04:16, 30 December 2017 (UTC) Julia Mora is indeed a well known tv personality (as described by The National Enquirer" in 2008 and 2017), She meets the criteria also by a connection with Hollywood actor, Erik Estrada. And her claim to fame initiated when she participated in the Miss Universe contest in 1985. I think that the Julia Mora article was deleted too soon. The discussion lasted less than one week and it has strong petitions for keeping. Please, undelete the article. Links and strong sources were submitted and deleted by someone that obviously wanted the article deleted, because he/she had been vandalizing it for years. Thank you[reply]

Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. You clearly have not read WP:Notability, WP:Notability (people), WP:Articles for deletion, or WP:Identifying reliable sources, or you would know that (1) we don't cite scandal rags like the National Enquirer, (2) "notability-by-osmosis" is not considered notability at all, and (3) the AfD was canvassed off-site, and AfD closers are allowed to disregard !votes that make no rational policy-based argument or are evidently being recruited from off-site in an effort to save the article. Even if all of that was abided by, the debate closed as redirect as opposed to delete; the entire history of the previous article remains in the history so even if there wasn't an AfD there would still be nothing that can be done on this page because there is nothing to undelete in the first place. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 05:59, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated it for deletion due to the issues you mentioned, Hut 8.5. My reasoning is it is better to leave the title without an article than to have it tied up in a non article like it was. I would suggest that Connectnext321 leave it in user space. I'd have preferred leaving the title vacant and let him take it through AfC. But it was your decision and you made it, so what can we do now? John from Idegon (talk) 21:26, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, both of you...I am going to boldly move the title to Draft. That's what we have draftspace for, ya? I absolutely do not understand why an empty article would be restored to mainspace, especially since it is still essentially empty 5 hours later. There was never any substantial content and I think we need something more than an infobox before it should be in mainspace. John from Idegon (talk) 21:31, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Drone Detector

This is not an advertisement as claimed by the deleting administrator it is a legitimate entry about the company and the main product in an emerging industry. Saying "Drone Detector" (a registered trademark) is an ad is tantamount to saying "Kleenex" [1] is an ad. Please review and undelete if you concur. —2601:2C1:8600:1BC3:4815:6B32:96E4:ED21 (talk) 19:30, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nine point nine nine times out of ten any newer user or anon claiming an article about a company is "a legitimate entry" is defending what they know is a blatant SEO attempt. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 22:09, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Another indicator of promotional intent, is an obsession with the fact that the subject has obtained a trademark. It is possible that an actual impartial article could be written about this firm; but the deleted content was not that article. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:49, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
